I might pick at a couple of the easy prizes from the first "Bingo" panel. But I'm not going to kill myself over the CR and givers. Please neighbors, don't bother sending event drops. Check out the SOS thread and gift there instead. While I'm not preparing for TOP 1000, I'm not willing to go all out for this one.

We're in the same boat I believe. Sure the prize giveaways are automatic. This farm has never been a tep/ep chaser and it is presently not too willing to pay such a high price for a cloud row it does not want or even the givers alone which will become worthless.

The stars should be cheap enough for us. What could BP want them back in exchange for?

Thank you for making it a little easier for me to maintain my senses.

This event is absolutely ridiculous. The event's crops and drops requirements are insane for so little a reward.

The CR is worthless. The items, if placed in parks, would yield -with 7 owls active- at least 128% more EPs/B-EPs than if placed in the CR. The CR itself is not so costly: 10 star coins. But the other 70 needed for getting all the items are best invested if you buy 4 Dance of Light, instead.

I'll certainly do some of the event, trying to maximize my star coins output so that to buy the most items I'm most interested in plus the CR for 10 star coins while, at the same time, minimizing the event's crops/drops need for achieving so.

    And that's it.

These BP guys think this is a full-time job, not a game. An event with requirements as ridiculous as this one's should give awesome rewards, something that may make the effort worth of own personal time and game resources spent on trying to getting them.

This is the second worst event ever in a row, along with the absurd randomness of the Temple event that gave no way out to trying to achieve goals with a reasonable and somewhat controllable effort. In this case, it's controllable, but rewards are simply too meager.

With MM going on I don't have tubo/suzy left over, all is for MM on these farms.
with the great slim downs 12ss12, Mir and the other great minds have given we will go as far as we can, but when picking resources to go where well all lose to MM.8) Really should not make players pick....

This is what some players in the Spanish forum are going to do

I just made the numbers and, according to this you will need

    4h crop 12000
    8h crop 13200

And this is just 8x10= 80 starcoins.
Not enough to get the complete CR
If you want that CR + the PF, you will need to complete 16 levels, which means 20000 8h crops

3 whole days planting over and over the same crop???? No thanks!!!

Good luck for the ones who are trying.
I hope you saved the +1 crop from the calendar.

I have not saved my +1 crop.;) Now looks I have put extra hard work.

Hey, Doing the events without thinking too much is also my strategy. Why should I strain my brains ? Even for this event I still haven't got into my mind the total number of crops, drops required, even though it was I who copied illy's calculations, went through other people's calculations & charts.:p I will just grow and chose in the board the lines as they come just one by one. No serious planning for me. First I will try to go far one time buyables, PFs etc. Just as hababala suggested.

I will implead mir, escalonilla, hababala's in my first thread. Thanks to you all. :)

The broke farm is 100% in with the goal of taking it all! Brainless growing of event junks is nothing for the broke farm. (One-two, please don't say anything about "brainless.")

Bring it on BP! And would you make an attempt to have me use by brain next time? Bring it on! And collect this data.

The farm has all but the event junks and drops. But to create my own challenge, the farm will produce everything AND produce the animals to breed during the event outside of a baby boom AND even grow the tree fruit, make the products and grow the called for crops. Water is all this farm is buying.

    Let's play BINGO BROKE STYLE!

broke, your first line amazes me. You are going to do 100 % ! I am feeling dizzy [IMG].

Why would I ever say anything about "brainless" to you ;)xD. Gray matter is the jurisdiction of mingling. Its the news that you are doing the event in full that's making me faint. Am I in this world ? :pxD

Incorporated mir & escalonilla 's strategy in first post.

See you all in the evening. Off to works.

I've just re-studied the arrangement of event's crops in the 10 levels and came out with a way to get the 80 star coins needed for the CR with somewhat less requirements (I was trying to minimize event's crops needs and, for that, took any unit of 600 glowberries or 1200 hyacinths as 1, given they roughly mean the exact same space/time need), and found that total event’s crops requirements are equivalent to those published by escalonilla above. It's anyway daunting, but I share it because I think it can at least give an alternative to better control what we do, if we go for somehow, to some extent, completing the event.

I've taken into account that levels 2 and 7 can be done without using any event's crops (meaning just 1 line and 2 star coins for those two cases).

If, for the rest, for instance, the patterns suggested in the Spanish forum are used (brought here by escalonilla), it would mean doing a first round like this:

--> levels 1,3,4,5,6,8,9,10: As suggested in Spanish forum. (8 levels @8 star coins = 64 star coins)
    --> level 2: 1,5,11,16 (2 star coins)
    --> level 7: 1,5,11,16 (2 star coins).
plus, restarting the loop and doing again just the first 3 levels as follows:
--> level 1 as suggested in Spanish forum to get another 8 star coins and, finally,
    --> level 2 again, 1,5,11,16;
--> level 3, only 1 line, involving either 600 glowberries or 1200 hyacinths twice, or once each 600 glowberries and 1200 hyacinths, in order to get the final 2 star coins that bring the total needed to 80 star coins and all of its items (I’ll probably do the last horizontal one, involving 1200 hyacinths twice, because it balances the thermos drops with the tent drops, but, probably, which one should be adjusted as a function of how many event's drops of each kind we have towards event end).

Thus, event's resources needs (including those needed for the backpacks) would be (if the repeated last line in level 3 is the one I may finally do if I decide to do the whole event):
    8 hour crop (glowberry): 12000.
    4 hour crop (hyacinth): 14400.
    Tents: 1060.
    Thermos: 860.

As I said before, these event’s crops reqs are anyhow equivalent to those published in the Spanish forum.

Calculations may very well be wrong, so, feel free to correct them.

    horrible event
this is my 1st impact when I read the FAQ & all the helpful post,
    alot thanks for 12ss12, illy, Mir85, habalala..etc,
I don't want to grow those endless qty of junk
So, this is the very frist time, I do event in a selective way
    chose some prize I like.
CR, as Aluntino say, not worth compare to it's requirement,
However, read Aluntino 2nd post, if consider spanish forum format,
the qty of crop look down to a bit acceptabie, but still, I consider it quite high!
This time, BP give us a "hard" event, but I think the drop will not be a big problem
what troubles us is to grow many, many crops as well as :
Do 10 level at least once, & more time if you want more item.
Each time, you must be very carefully not to lit the wrong no of lantern, otherwise,
you had to grow more junk & need more stuff like drops, mill items...etc!

  12. -Mir85-

    -Mir85- Living Forum Legend

Aluntino, I get less crops, but more drops lol
    • 8 hour crop (glowberry): 13200 (22 lanterns)
    • 4 hour crop (hyacinth): 10800 (9 lanterns)
    • Tents: 1100
    • Thermos: 900
The (total quantity of) crops should be right, because the number of crop lanterns you suggest is (and I agree, this is the least amount of event crops needed for 80 coins):
    3, 0, 4, 3, 3, 3, 0, 4, 3, 3, 3, 0, 2
a total of 31 lanterns, which matches the above (your crop total correspond to 32 lanterns). Drops I am not sure about, didn't double check.

Be aware that the suggestions from the spanish forum does not minimize the number of drops. I think it is 200 drops over minimum. There might of course be other reasons for choosing those particular patterns (I didn't check), but just be aware of it.

    Good luck everyone :)

Hi Farmers, This is another not so great Event as it is harder, more confusing and Less Enjoyable to do compared to last Firefly Event.

After Studying FAQ and reading all our lovely Farmers tips, Advise and Strategy. As I have drawn up two Strategies Based on all info Posted here.

Strategy 1) Based on How Well we get drops of Tents and Thermos Flask. Only if The Drop Rate is Really Good i would opt to open Lanterns that is asking for Minimal Amount of Tents, Thermos Flask or Back Packs, Followed by Non Junk Requirements too as there is couple of Combinations can be done to Obtain Two Star Coins. There is couple of Combinations Requires no Drops at all which i can use to complete combinations at Higher Level

Strategy 2) Objective is to Grow as Little Junk Crops of Hyacinths and Glow Berries needed to Obtain Enough Star Coins I need. We only need to Grow Enough Hyacinths and Glow Berries to unlock Lanterns than cannot be achieved by Strategy 1 But This Event will run for 7 Whole Days. During This Event we will get many drops of Tents and Thermos Flasks, no matter on Combination Growing of Trees, Animal/Production Pens, Farm Crops or Event Crops.

Strategy 3) This is an optional Strategy on Basis of Nuking Crop Refinements using Comfort Fields, Using Super Grow and Super Grow Effective Buffs/Cloud Row. When this Event Starts Moonlight Playing Field will still be accessible will MM Mini Event is still run for another 25 Hours. Which can Benefit The Effectiveness of using Nuking Tactic. Using Crop Refinements for Instant Harvest with those who have Supergrow Effective Cloud Row as we can Either use Roses, Carnations or Organic Cotton Crops (This is Ideal for Farmers who are struggling to get enough drops of Tents or Thermos Flasks !!

    Rewards Strategy

My Tactic is going to be same as Habalala as our Minds Think alike :p But with just Two more Tips
    • 10 Star Coins = 24 Harvester Voucher
    • 16 Star Coins = 40 Power Feeds
    • 8 Star Coins = 9 Stars
I am also Intend to unlock
    • 10 Stars = Event Cloud Row
Reason Being is we can always get these Cloud Row Givers Via Barter and Gift Event as some farmers might or will have surplus Givers to Trade which can be Obtained without the need to grow Crazy amount of Junk Crops

Continue to Pursuit getting as many drops of Thermos Flasks and Tents as you can to unlock Lanterns Combinations that does not include Junk Crops. Objective is to get Enough Star Coins to get Best TEP Givers from Event Shop which can be Tradable at Barter and Gift Event for Better TEP Givers as these Event TEP are not that Ideal for us to use in either Cloud Row or Shipwreck as they only Take 8 Hours which to many of us they will often be VERY IDLE and INEFFECTIVE our Style of Game play and Liking >:(

By The Way Thanks for Great Info by 12ss12, Mir85 and Illy1996 and Habalala :);)

First harvest drops were equal within one of one another. The no hurry hurry approach in the past has always resulted in many more drops than the events required and still finished nearly two days ahead of time. The drops continued. Patience and keeping all fields efficiently productive is the key.

Just as farms did not want to grow excessive crops in order to finish, this farm does not wish to end the event with excessive drops.

Since drops are reasonably predictable for this farm, a purposeful haphazard approach will be continued.

The farm will purposely not get several 8's! A well executed start.

Well, I had a stupid start to this event. I forgot it was starting and wanted to keep my Moonlight field up and running that I went about my normal morning routine 2 hours before the event started. -.-:(-.-

Now I'm totally behind as I already fed my animal pens again and planted crops that won't be ready for another 5 hours :sleepy:

Oh, well. I'm not really sure I could finish this one anyway. My head is still spinning about how to accomplish it. My plan as of now is to follow @-Mir85- suggestion on page 2. That is tomorrow when I can clear my fields and plant the event crops. So as things finish I'll pull them out and plant event crops.

Hope everyone has had a better start than me ;):p:D

Thank you guys for the Maths
Have got this cloud row already from the last event of firefly ...which gives 5000 EP And 5000 Tropical EP
The Ep is ok ...it is making my Island level up every other day
But think I might miss getting the cloud row and go for the other things if I can

Good Luck Everyone and hope we all get LOTS of drops

Right, Mir, the sequence I suggested involves 31 space/time units of either 600 glowberries or 1200 hyacinths (I won't check now where I double counted once). If so, the way I was suggesting is slightly better in event's crops terms compared to the one published in the Spanish forum.

In fact, I used the patterns shown in the Spanish forum just to save time (I wasn't willing to invest more time in figuring out additional complex patterns) but I may tweak how I'll fill each level depending on other factors, including drops and what the specific prizes per level are.

Anyway, regarding drops, I disregarded them on purpose: their rates must be massive anyway and I guess I'll get the amounts I published (I suppose anyone will, provided they don't mess up chances with jumbo trees/pens or long-timed workshops/pens). Since the requirement is pretty high, for sure this is an event for which the most fragmentation in fields will help boosting drops.

But I think now that, at least, at those levels of 31 space/time units of event's crops, the event is doable -though not too much worthwhile-. As I said in a previous post, I'll most certainly get the CR for 10 coins and see what I'll buy with the rest of the coins. Maybe, if I have a crops surplus and enough drops, I'll change a bit the second round in order to get more coins (more than 80, I mean).
