• There will be two special event crops:

Snapdragon

Time: 4 hours and 45 minutes
Gives (2x2): 192 EP / TEP
plantable on the 3 main and 3 tropical lands
Coralroot

Time: 8 hours
Gives (2x2): 320 EP / TEP
plantable on the 3 main and 3 tropical lands
Event drop:
Kindling

You will get these drops while harvesting your 3 main and 3 tropical lands, from everything you harvest - crops, stables and trees. There is also a small chance of receiving one when harvesting your breedings
Special mill products:
Thunderclap

Time: 4 minutes
Ingredients: 260 x Snapdragons, 10 x Kindling

Fire Wheel

Time: 4 minutes
Ingredients: 225 x Coralroots, 10 x Kindling
Epic Rocket

Time: 4 minutes
Ingredients: 220 x Snapdragons, 175 x Coralroots, 20 x Kindling
These can be produced in both the main and tropical mills - Events feed tab!
There are 3 locations and each location has 12 tasks to be completed, in order. Once you finish one, the next task becomes available.

Each location will require one of the mill items to complete the tasks:
- Bahamarama (Left side) - Thunderclaps; 42 required to complete 12 tasks.
- Mainland (Middle side) - Fire Wheels; 42 required to complete 12 tasks.
- Moonlight World (Right side) - Epic Rockets. 42 required to complete 12 tasks.
Crops required:
Snapdragons: 20,160
Coralroots: 16,800
Drops required:
Kindlings: 1680.

37 Thousand of crop in 6 days? the cloud row is once a week...
I'm passing on this...got too much of other things going on.
I'll give out the drops to the neighbors if they're doing this event.
Hope everyone had a nice holiday today however way you spent it.
I do this every year...ate too much again despite wearing stretchy pants for the occasion; I'll never learn.

am not motivated to grow that many crops, get all those drops and do all that milling! Good luck to all going for it!

Nala, thank you for starting the thread and crunching the numbers! And Saturnia22, thank you for pointing out that the cloud row is once a week... and I'm out of this one on both farms. Nope nope nope.

Last couple weeks have been tough for me, and January is shaping up to be a real doozy - we'll find out on January 7 if I become my mother's full-time chauffeur. My husband and I are already figuring that when the Spring thaw arrives we'll be moving Mom to a senior facility of some sort...so I'm going on the hunt for a place starting now.

Real life has put a real crimp in my farming...so from here on out I'm going to be a bit choosy about events. Guess I am having a crash course in getting over FEOCD...

2 crops, 1 drop and 3 mill products, in the middle of the holidays.
None of my farms are doing this event

 

For those considering doing the event, the Calendar gave a +1 on crops for 36 hours. If you saved your bonus, it will be a big help with this event. I'm sitting on the fence for this one. I have some other things I need to do in real life and some quests that I would like to finish.

 

I think I'll join you on that fence, pnp. While I have a hard time passing up party spin prizes, there aren't any others that really excite me. Not a single mystery stable or tree, my favorites. I did in fact save my +1 for the start of this event, but will have to hold on to it in hopes of getting at least a start to the next event before the calendar closes. Anyone know when we have to claim it by before we lose it?

Simple, rough and NOT accurate pre-calc:

36,000 event crops in 6 days = 6,000 crops per day
6,000 crops per day with 6 fields = 1,000 crops per field per day
After growing enough crops to cover the needed 6 fields (even with 10 starter seeds this task alone will take a lot of -event- time and/or resources!):
1 field, 200 1x1 plots, with CAC yields 600 crops + replant
Roughly 2 harvests a day are needed.

2 different crop grow times and requirements involved doesn't make it easier

Rewards are pityful given the time and effort one has to make.

Not even a handfull of EP and CC per completed step​

Extravaganza for being the worst event in 2018 to participate in.

Christmas was hectic and I need a rest BUT I try and get those neighbor gifts out on time HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone and good luck if you're doing the event.
I'm going to hatch all the many wonder stable and trees I've gathered lately.

The cloud row looks good until you realise it only gives every 7 days. I also do not intend to rip up all my farm. It is a long Christmas/New Year Holiday with lots of other things going on. Our internet is soooo sloooow I took nearly 1 hour to log in tonight.
That is 4 good reasons not to participate.
