At frist, I saw the Cr give huge EP & TEP, I will do this event.
Then thanks habalala to point out it is a 168hr cool down CR and that is what I overlook.
OK, I had already make preparation for this event.
Let see how far I go and if I do not finished at end. No big deal, it is only a game

 

I check the FAQ of winter calendar, all the bonus gift must be collect before event end
on 31st of December at 23:59 CET
So, for those had not claim the bonus gift, even you may do or not to do this event,
You must claim the bonus before 2018 Year end.

This event end on 2nd Jan 2019

But I'm in, despite the fact I'm going away tomorrow to a place with no internet (my mum switches it of, I think I must be adopted) and poor phone reception. If I fail I will try this "only a game" chant, see if it helps

Edit: inital harvest for 6 field mix type farming. got 515drops. Really not bad

Thank you Nala, and Joanc. At first I thought I would skip it, but I just can't resist fireworks, and love playing the games. So I'm in, but I'm not ripping up my fields, and will just see how far I go. I will be gone at least 2 of those days, but will check in, and I won't feel bad about missing anything big. I love the graphics. Good luck to everyone with whatever you do, and Happy New Year.

 

I started the event today morning. So far got 740 drops. OK, Now we are all in to crop chasing & drop chasing till New Year. And nothing else in the farm.

First Event, since 2011, I intentionally miss. (only missed Basil Chromatics before due to RL).
Prizes are lame and the requirements way too high for the effort. Back to the drawing board BP.

*sigh* So, I was up there sitting on the fence just minding my own business, but the fence started getting a little uncomfortable - all those points, don't you know. So I started wiggling around trying to readjust, and wouldn't you know, I fell right off! Plop! right into the event . Just call me Humpty DUMB-ty. 1369 kindling so far.

 

Well.....At least you tried not doing the event. I didn't even think of not trying to do the event. Such EOCD. So you all can feel proud that you thought of saying NO. Just mass growing, milling and dumping.

I miss the ever present broke's comment about junks in this thread. May be he is doing the event. I will send him a kindling to lighten up his farmerama sky. Then we can all see his New Year Burst here in this thread. ( But I know for sure, he is with his anacondas. may be he will retain 1 anaconda and name it after him - broke anaconda )

Off topic:

I saw the picture you posted. Now I can say why I wanted to see the pictures.

• Thus far I must classify anacondas as a "fake breeding animal" just as the reindeer is a "fake breeding animal."
• There is no official announcement that the anaconda is a permanent breeding animal and time for that has already passed even though there has been gossip everywhere.
• The farm has made exactly -0- fooling with anaconda sale. Investment beyond normal may have just reached 1/2 million ccs.
• I see no reason for the farm to chase a very low return with a "fake breeding animal."
• No further purchases will be made from normal producers of anything until after the beginning of the new year.
• Chicken feed went to over 2,600 and the market was empty several times. The farm itself holds about 210,000 and with supplier farms the total exceeds 350,000. No need to chase those ccs. Let others mill whatever they need.

ahhhhhhhhhhh ... have maybe 10 crops under the 100,000 minimum in the barn. I'll look into it after the end of the year.

Anyway. I'm shocked how much crop the milling product demands, perhaps I started with the most expensive one. Let's hope.

 

The reindeer is not a permanent breeding animal either. Also, January is the first time I know of where there will be two breeding event in the same month. IMO the two breeding of "fake breeding animals" is a power feed marketing scheme. Remember the fancy cloud row from the last breeding event? The events should be spaced so that activation is possible. Sure, one holding the cloud row can breed hundreds of times faster than without it and also purchase hundreds of times more power feed to do it.

One must have the animals to breed though. They must come from somewhere. Speed up the breeding ... increase the event requirements .... sell more power feed ... other animals being bred during the same period skyrocket in price also ... if any market does not have sufficient animals available to meet the demands then simply combine the market with one that does .... pheromone use fits neatly into the picture.

Anaconda sales is not where I want the return to come from. I want it from the related animals (the anaconda is a reptile) and other animals being bred. Anaconda prices must triple for this farm to even begin to think of releasing its holdings.

"Sanddollar the fish" has over 24,500 friends. Someday all but one will swim away.

I'm really not. This milling event products has been going on for a while now. And this farm has been playing it. Not only does event product milling interrupt farm power feed milling but it also prevents event-junkie farms from producing animal feed and animal feed has risen.

I see a couple of paths for the fish. This is not the thread to discuss it though.
