Forum Clarification Segment

Possibly a daft idea but it might be useful to see a new segment on the forum which allows players to request clarification on the implementation of rules.

For instance, I've had many comments removed from the forum that were responses to a question, even though the information in my response was factually correct. Evidently I've done something wrong though looking through the rulebook I don't see what it is; I can't hijack the thread in question to ask what I did wrong and it's ridiculous to open up a new thread in General Issues (plus it looks rather desperate).

However if there were a section of the forum that allowed players to gain clarification on why decisions are made, and thus know what to avoid next time, it could be useful for players.

Of course, maybe it would bring more trouble than it's worth. I don't know. I'm rambling.

 

I agree Squiggle (welcome back, by the way) The way things work are sometimes a mystery to me too. I really don't understand the problem with double posting. I put something in one of the threads once and it was over a week before anyone posted after me and I am not very good at editing my posts!

If you look through Tech or General issues you will notice that we always appreciate the help and input from players - we think it is lovely that the community helps their fellow farmers - and some farmers in particular are very active and also very correct all the time . If an answer is wrong - we will delete it. If an answer is deleted, it is because the information provided was not correct, and we do not want the OP to be confused - or others, when reading the thread. The correct information posted by the Mod Team should be self explanatory and give you a hint about why the answer was wrong. Exception: when we make mistakes. We will not delete wrong mod answers, but apologise for them instead - so it will not look like we are covering our booboos

Why double posting is not allowed? We do not know - we do not make the rules, we are here to enforce them. But allowing double posting could be 'abused' turn into spam easily If we can help you with understanding how the edit works, do not hesitate to let us know.

Therefore,

We will not explain the rules and why are they the way they are - they are rules and by signing up to the Game and by agreeing to use the Forum, you agree to follow them.

If you have a problem with the way the Mod Team handles your posts, you are always welcomed to contact support - that is where you can get any clarifications about a post deleted, and where you can complain about us deleting a post. A forum section for this would not follow the guidelines on this matter, so, it will never be implemented.
