Forum competition to create an event

I was unable to sleep earlier, so was lying awake thinking about whatever popped into my head and wishing the alarm would just go off already. Somehow or other my train of thoughts got on a side track about events, and before it completely derailed, I thought about how much fun it might be to see a forum competition where farmers could enter ideas/themes for future events, and maybe the winner could then get to help develop it. I don't know if this is a workable suggestion, but I thought it couldn't hurt to offer it. Happy New Year! ♫♪Should auld acquaintance be forgot...and never brought to mind? I'd like to see an event which included a maze, I am not sure how it would work exactly
Maybe we would need to get the selected farm animal(s) through the maze by completing different tasks. I know... maybe we need to get the chickens to the "Chapel" on time for their wedding vows... or maybe we just need to find a lost____ (fill in the blank) puppy, toy (which could be a hidden deco item) There would be various tasks, one for each section of the maze. One task may need crops or a certain crop pattern (a mix of grains, or a mix of flowers) These sections might or might not need to add up to a certain amount of total EP points.. crude example: "maze section 1" needs 185 total EP points to advance to next step, using only flowers..
Of course the maze would be much prettier and little more involved, then this ol box, but just as an example...Like this..

I suggested this earlier, but I always thought an april fools event would be fun. Since I already posted, I won't repeat the ideas here. Anyone interested can search it out. (though I will say it involved getting random stuff from lower level trees, pens -- cows or donkeys from chicken pens, etc. There would be a ticket or some other mechanism to keep it in control, but items would come regardless of level, if possible or maybe just rare items would come).

As for a competition.. a friendly, "bragging rights only" maybe, but I think the best reward is really just getting an idea accepted. The team is very creative and does not seem lacking in ideas. A major competition is likely to make them have to wade through bunches of bad ideas to get a few decent ones.

 

I think this is a splendid idea spots The competition could be held in all the forums with players voting for their favorites in each forum. Then the game team could choose one event concept to develop among all the winners. Could be great fun

 

Great idea spots! I'd love to be on the ground floor of designing an event!!! With Spring approaching, and so many flowers available to grow....we could have a flower related event....and include baby rabbits, chicks, lambs etc.
