I had good drops overnight with foxtail mullet (on my other farm) and spelt in on this farm. Tonight I'm trying artichokes and rosehips. So far, so good. Got the first pipe puzzle page done. Does this remind anyone of an old computer game, or is it just me...

    Happy Thanksgiving Everyone.

I had late start to this event to being busy i guess most of us are this time of year lol. I try up most best to try not to leave my farm idle for too long.

I forgot the possibility to go over this event again to gain more Farm Coins, which i intend to do as have on stand by to do some Instant nuking of refinement crops to get those needy Wrenches to mill more Straight and bend pipes so need to grow as many bamboo pipes as i can during this event.

I just love puzzle event such as this as we only get them from time to time.;):p

Comfort fields with supergrow are an excellent option for overnight, comes to 11 hours and 12 minutes if your supergrow reduces growth time by 60% :D

I don't know about everyone else but so little time at the moment to work out the pipelines that I'm just pressing solution button... Thank goodness it is there!

OK, So I made two spreadsheets, the top is using the solutions method provided to us. I did make it more efficient by not taking useless 2 supergrow amounts but did get the stables, or anything of real value.

The bottom chart is going (for the most part) straight to the finish, picking up any star coins along the way. If a good amount of stars was very close I'd pick it up, but otherwise I'd just go straight to the finish.

The first 4 levels has a lot of open space, so the cost to pick up extra star coins isn't worth it, just finish the levels.
Levels 5-7+9 are congested, so getting the extra stars isn't that much of a stretch, and it makes sense
Level 8 has a lot of open space, so it again becomes more expensive to pick up those stars
Level 10 can go either way, its pretty even.

Graboe - WOW! Thanks for all that info and the hard work and time you put in to crunch the numbers! Most of the time, I am just letting the game do the mapping. I did try on the first couple levels to do it myself - phooey. I gave up. But, I will be very grateful for Graboe's numbers if it gets skin-of-the-teeth tight towards the end. o_O

I've also written a spreadsheet which I've used to map several possible paths for each level, and picked the most efficient ones. I've been able to assign a value in star coins for most of the extra prizes since they're available in the star coins shop. There's usually a more efficient way than the suggested path, and you're not always best off picking up all the star coins.
If anyone would like me to publish the paths I've found most efficient, please let me know and I'll do so. The only level I haven't computed for is level 1, because I'd already done it.

I haven't started mine yet but I have a question. If you use the instant button, do you lose any prizes? Or do you collect the same whether or not you solve it yourself? Thanks!!

    @ julie1013 ~

I don't think you lose anything {except possibly efficiency} by using their automated solver.
This is based on 2 things: {a1} when I experimented with it, there was no pop up either asking me to pay with BBs *nor* {a2} was there any sort of "caution/warning" & {b}I didn't see anything in the FAQ that would indicate losing prizes would be a "cost" of using the solver.

    Suggested routes for pipe game:
'Right 5' means go right by 5 squares. Sometimes you get squares for free if there are pipes there already, so if I say 'right 5' and there are 2 pipes on the route, you only have to click 3 times.
Sometimes 'End' is missing because it's included already.

    Level 2.
    Up 2. Right 5. Up 3. Left 2. Down. Left 3. End.

    Level 3.
Pink: Right 3. Up 2. Left. Up. Right 6. Up 2. End.
Yellow: Right. Down 2. Left. Down 2. Right 9. End.

    Level 4.
    Pink: Right 6. Up 2. Left 2. Up 2. Right 2. End.
Yellow: Left 4. Down. Left 2. Up 5.

    Level 5.
Pink: Up 2. Right. Down 3. Right 7. Down 2. Right. Up 3.
Yellow: Right. Down 2. Right 2. Down 2. Left. End.
Brown: Right 3. Up 4. Right 3. Up. Right 3.

    Level 6.
Pink: Left. Up. Right 4. Up 2. Left 4. End.
    Yellow: Right 7. Down 3. Left 3. Down 2. Left 2.
Brown: Down. Right 3. Up. Right 4. Up 2. Left 7. Up 2.
Note: Level 6 is very marginal whether you should include the PF or not. Depends how much you want PF.

    Level 7.
Pink: Right 3. Up. Right 6. Down. Left. Down 3. End.
Yellow: Up. Right 4. Down 5. Right. Up. Right 4. End.
Brown: Up. Right 6. Down 2. Right. Up 5. Right 2.

    Level 8.
As suggested route for the pink and brown pipes.
    Yellow: Up 2. Right 4. Down 2.
Note: This is only very slightly cheaper than the suggested route if you value the stable at 15 coins. I expect most people will want to take the suggested route.

    Level 9.
As suggested route for the pink and yellow pipes.
Brown: Left. Up. Right 3. Up 2. Left. Up 2.

    Level 10.
Pink: Up. Left 5. Down. Left. Up. Left 2. Up 2.
Yellow: Up 4. Right 9. Up. Left 3.
    Brown: Right 2. Down 2. Right 3.

Please let me know if you think another route is more efficient, or if you spot mistakes!

Yay! and thanks for sharing strategies! Soon enough I will finish on round 10 with 626 SC gathered, that's Cloud Row and givers +2 SC to spare.
I used the auto lay out to start with and adjusted it to my liking. When possible I skipped prices which seemed not worth the effort.

Beside the Star coins for the levels I got:

Level 1 - Star Coin on the left (Pink line)
Level 2 - Star coin on the left (Pink line)
Level 3 - TEP (Pink line); ALL Star coins (Yellow line)
Level 4 - Star Coin on the right (Pink line); Star Coin in the middle (Yellow line)
Level 5 - TEP (Pink line); TM (Yelow line); Star Coin (Brown line)
Level 6 - SG, BOTH Star Coin (Pink line); Star Coin, TM (Yellow line); Star Coin, PT (Brown line)
Level 7 - Star Coin, TM (Pink line); Star Coin, SSG (Yellow line); EP, Star Coin (Brown line)
Level 8 - BOTH Star Coin (Pink line); SSG, TM (Brown line), NOTHING from Yellow line.
Level 9 - Star Coin, PF (Pink line); Star Coin on top (Yellow line); SG (Brown line)
Level 10- Stable (Pink line); Star Coin (Yellow line); TM, SG (Brown line)

Given the remaining time for the event it's very possible to do at least another full round of 10 levels. I'll use the same lay out as above, it suits me well. The SC I get I will spend on goodies and/or extra givers.

    Happy pie-ping everyone. Keep smiling!

I appreciate everyone's strategies, especially the detail of crop cost/star and drop cost/star. I was so mystified by the mazes that I just hit instant solve on all, and then went back and rerouted to remove low-payoff side excursions. I will have enough pipe crops by 10 p.m. to run through a second time, but I am being held back by drops - I have only finished level 6 because I don't have enough wrenches. At 10 tonight I'll shift all my 1x1 fields back to trees, 4x4 long crops and high-value stables & workshops to see if I can improve my drop rate. I'm sure I can make it through once and complete the Cloud Row, but I would love to get enough wrenches to go through a second time to pick up golden bananas, wonder stables, and more giver items.

Just the basics on this one:
ONE 4x4 with long crops might give you 1 drop while FOUR 1x1 with long crops might give you 4 drops!

Also, trees are known for having a low drop rate in general so my advice would be to use the space for long term crops as well. Pretty sure it'll give you the boost in drops you're looking for.

    You're on track! Keep going!

I plan my pipes so that they only collect the star coins but I don't take detours for other rewards. Still, I only finished level 8 just now - wrenches don't seem to be dropping on me too much.
