Well, I just read the FAQ and here is my initial thought; the crops and drop needed do not seem so bad. Hope the drop are forthcoming. I think 5 minute mill time is a bit long. To complete the event nothing extra, needing to entertain 100 @ 5 minutes each mill is a little over 8 hours of mill time. I don't know, me personally; I think that is a lot. BUT there is the good thing of being able to mill on both mills. As far as crop time? What is a good amount of time? I think that lays with each farmer individually and what they have going on, on a particular day.
I'll give my initial reaction after I get to play.
    Have fun everyone!!

I agree, FrootloopGrove - mill time is too long!! We will only be able to mill the same amount of goods whether it takes 5 minutes or 5 seconds, because it depends on how many event plants/drops we have!!
So - what is the point of having it take so long just to mill o-n-e item??? Other than to annoy everyone, that is...!!

Otherwise, it is an o.k. event - like the idea of gifts popping up.

To add a competition element towards an event is fine, especially when several level brackets are seperated. Good move.
But I think it's a pity and very dissatisfying the competition in this event isn't about growing crops, getting drops and milling frisbees at all because buying Event baskets with instant frisbees in it gives anyone who's willing to spend a truckload of real cash on the game an unfair adventage over the players that don't have that much cash. The Top 200 players spending the most real cash on baskets will win the competition, no matter if they grow a single event crop or not. So, the way the competition element is introduced has nothing to do with the event or game itself and thus the event shouldn't be named so. The extra prizes awarded in the "competition" could as well be sold for real cash as a special package in the bank, or, this being a wallet competition, be auctioned for real cash to the 200 highest bidders per bracket. I suggest to name it the Money For Pixels Auction Competition.

Pity. I'm more than willling to compete with fellow players with my virual farm as it is. A fair, cash free grow & throw competition in which every player has equal oppertunities to start with could've added much fun to the event.

This is my favourite format of an event I like that you can continue almost unlimited ( Not that I will do that well) the competition in there for those who want it and the dogs are cute.

how is it possible that my farm in level 95 has a greater drop rate than my farm at level 98? Let me be clear, I will not spend any real money in this game anymore if this continuous to be the pattern, same goes for trees and animals as well. I like the color of the flower.

Have to say I can't really blame BP because they want to separate players from their cash but I agree with you that it would be nice if there was a competition that was equal to all players -- meaning no baskets required to be bought. If it was open to everyone it could require only crops grown with water or manure -- low level players might not have a stockpile of SG. If it was separated by levels the way this one is then they could allow use of all the enhancements. Maybe they will make one in the future based on knowledge, ability and luck.

You are correct in that this is a ploy to gain funds but I like the idea of allowing us to just buy a special event item if that is to be the focus. However, on the other side if it were just about growing crops, getting drops and milling frisbees it could still be skewed by those with money with the use of supergro and through other means, and/or then someone would complain that if you have a life and don't have every minute of every day to grow crops, collect drops and mill frisbees all day that it's not fair either.

Point is there will always be those who have advantages, time or resources that others don't, or are willing to allocate those resources in a different way. While I'm not willing to spend a lot of my hard earned money to "win" something like this, others are and that's their prerogative.

I do think the doggies are adorbs :), and the special event item for the top 200 is pretty sweet. I also commend the idea of giving folks at different levels a competition with others at their level because large scale competition events seem otherwise only winnable by those at very high levels.

Cudos to BP and the team! You are trying to bring the FUN back!! I believe you have heard some of the complaints and are trying to address them. We understand no everyone will be happy all the time, but it appears you are trying. Even though I have FOCD and try to finish every event, the last three have been fun and rewarding. I do luv this game. I've invested time and money to play it. And I do enjoy it.

    Thank you for listening. ;);)

I agree with you. I did not say that I did not like this event; on the contrary I do like it and the rewards it offers. I was just commenting that it would be nice if they offered the other kind too where it was based on farming and not buying. Before I even had one frisbee others were already on the Top 200 with close to 100 contributed. Now I am still filling out the bar while the top score is 447 contributed - even with all the buffs this would not be possible without buying multiple baskets. I just think that BP should remember us (non-basket buyers) because we are potential future buyers of offers sold by BP and others currently buy from time to time. I also think BP should have more quests aimed towards middle players -- they make quests for newbies to keep them interested and top players and us middle players have to wait til we reach that level.

    The crop is lovely.
    The dogs are cute.
The prizes from entertaining the dogs are good.

I would prefer shorter milling times if there has to be a milled item at all.
Please allow us to see other level brackets besides our own. I would like to see how everyone else is doing.

With all the CAC and Pinkie Pies it is worth it to keep going even if you are not trying for the Top 200. The stables and trees aren't bad either. Haven't received too many GB's.

I am enjoying this event, it is not too demanding if you just want to finish the main event. Crops and drops seem to be pretty reasonable and the prizes are okay too for the work required. Would prefer to win the harvester more often but that's the thing with random. :p

The only downside is the milling. I preferred the last event mechanism where you donated without the need to tie up the mill. I don't think 5 minutes is too long to mill but it messes up any other milling I want to do. :(

I would have liked to take a chance at the Top 200 but it is entirely out of the question for anyone who does not spend real money - that's okay, I understand that. I prefer to plod along at my own pace as have done for 7 years without the additional stress of using real cash. 8)

Everyone has really great points and opinions. For me, the top spot is not even a thought. I'm just doing what I can do to play with as many dogs as I can and collect the wonderful gifts they are given out.
I am enjoying this event. The crops are very pretty and the Pugs are adorable. The requirement to make the frisbees is reasonable. The drops are coming ok too. I would prefer not to mill. I liked it the way the last event was set up to just have to donate the requirement to make the item needed to play a round of the event. But it has not taken any of the fun away and forces me to manage my time better (eye roll) I suppose heheh

The event was ok ...the prizes would have been better IF i hadn't got so many bananas each time I got to play with the animals ...tried every field and still got YES yet MORE bananas (boring) and the mill takes far too long
The drops could have been a little bit better...other then that nice event

Event was okay, But I'm still trying to finish. The drops aren't very good for me. I can just imagine how much $$ it cost to get into the top 200; Baskets and BB's for bones..it's fine if you've got extra cash but wow that's hundreds of dollars right there people.

I enjoyed this event. Mill time was definitely too long and the 7hr crop won't suit everybody. I love the fact that the pugs give their own prizes and that it's a surprise what you get. Also like that you can keep growing and adding if you want.

I like the event... i just wished i paid more attention to what i got when useing the comfort fields... the 7 hour crop is ok when useing them.. but i so wished i didnt used them as much as i did... maybe it helped me on my drops... i dont know as that is yet to be seen and its way to late to test that theory...

im 40 dogs in and really want to make 100 dogs... i dont care about making the top 200 as long as i get to 100 dogs...out of bones and trying to make sure i get enough crops to mill before i plant anything else to get them bones... i do have a funny feeling i wont get close..

the mill time for me... well right now i have to say it is good... not like its 10 or so minutes so i can live with the 5 minutes.... i have yet to really wait on it... will time left of the event... its kinda hard to have to wait for it to be done.... just saying... but i am not buying them so maybe thats why my mill isnt running 24/7 on this event to make frisbees. you can use both windmills to make them so if you need to make something else in one.. use the other... make sure your mill runs out in whatever time you can make it back to game... put your stuff in and wham ya will have them waiting... useing the mill is extra step... but i like it.. i just wish now i had the bones... as i have some crops waiting to be used in it but no bones....

but we all have our own way of playing... and to some useing the mill is a problem...i think the drops should be better as the end is near i feel like they not dropping as they was... so maybe in a few hours i will change my comment on the event...lol i like the fact the dog drops prizes as well as you getting from the event.... i dont have a comment on the prizes just yet as i forgot what they all was.. its not over yet so im keeping fingers crossed when not farming....lol

    I l:inlove:ve this event.
There were so many dogs in my farm waiting for Frisbee but I was only able to make 7 Frisbee in these days so I play with just 7 dogs.:(
In my view,7 hours is a long time.I used to be on the game for 2 to 3 hours (continuously) but never tried to be online in the rest of the day.Okay,my fault but I'm student I can only be online at a fix time.
Drops were enough for me or even more for me because still 57 bones are left with me but I don't have Frisboccoli.
Otherwise, the event is great. I've never played it before so I was excited.:inlove::music:
