So is it just me or does anyone else think the CC rewards and EP rewards in the FSC's aren't good enough? I was maybe thinking of posting this in the suggestions thread, suggesting for rewards to become better, but I want to know what you members think first.

Am I the only one who feel like we don't get the value of our goods traded back when we donate our animals/trees/crops/products to the quests? Of course market prices are fluctuating, sometimes ridiculously high other times less, but when you spend, lets say, a 100 000 CC's on the market for things you need in the quest and get a measly 3000CC in return, maybe combined with one star, a few PF or SG, a little EP OR TEP that isn't even nowhere near the value of the animals/trees/crops donated, it's pretty disappointing and the only reason I'm even doing the quests is for the bananas/shop-o-rama-coins/stars even though they are very small rewards I need them. Sure I could produce everything myself and donate, but the time that would take is not worth the rewards still.

To use a real example in the game, in the "Inanimate Matter" quest, in the 2nd task, 10 lions and 40 pandas are just worth 7800CC's and 8300TEP's worth of rewards. If you don't have a lion stable yourself, you have to pay 159 000CC's and that's just for one lion on the market... now why on earth would I trade in 10 lions that i could sell for 159 000 CC's each and 40 pandas for 10 000CC's each? Even now that I have my own lion stable, I'd much rather sell my lions and pandas on the market, and spend the CC's i earn on events with way better rewards! So.. I dunno, just, I feel like almost all the rewards on the farmers society are really poor for the time it takes to produce animals/trees/crops and looking at their market value, it's much more tempting to just sell everything or keep it for good events.

Never thought about it. For me the quest and the events are the point with the game. I don't care about my CC balance, and after I reached a certain level I don't fuss so much about EP either.

just a bit curious, isn't the rewards from event usually just as bad the quest when it comes to investment and the return?

I agree the quest and the events are the point of the game, which is why I wish the rewards were a little higher. Personally I feel it's more of a motivation thing to finish them when the rewards are good and I'd get more enjoyment when I feel like I accomplished something that's worth it, like when I finish the cloudrows in events:) The TEP/EP from them makes me go faster up in level, and I like unlocking new things, especially in baha. In my opinion the events have way better rewards, like the pirate treasure games where I probably got like 20 bananas, a ton of wonder stables and trees, 20 something of those too I think.. so yeah, I'd say the event's have a lot better rewards in most cases, not all of course though, but yeah I just find them more enjoyable cause of that.

As with events, a few FSQ pay off well, many others don't. I started doing FSQs after I had build up a more then decent stock and CC balance and noticed I only need to use the market to maintain the stock and CC balance I feel OK with. FSQs became a way to drop excess stock and eventually, gradually gave me a motivation to finish the tasks and to do more FSQs by growing whatever is needed.
Only on rare occassions, only when I get too impatient, I do buy needed stuff from the market. Some FSQs were done in a week, others do take months or even years to complete. Patience and determination are the key.

All in all, I'm not that much focussed on the rewards. Those are a (small) bonus for the effort which far more makes it fun to do them.
But I agree, and even suggested this on the board a way back, many FSQ rewards could and should have a review as many FSQs are as old as the game itself and never got updated while the game evolved. The older animal breeding FSQ requiremtens and rewards now are a joke. Glad I like a good laugh at seeing those and at myself for being that silly still doing them :)

Lang - I and many other players have been aware that FSQ's are not profitable for about 8 years. Back in the old days, there were many many smart people who would discuss ways of maximizing EPs and CCs. I learned a lot from them. They were extremely dismissive and critical of FSQ's as just a total waste of everything.

I personally like the FSQ's. I like accomplishing things so I get my jollies by just finishing an FSQ regardless of how ridiculous the profit or rather loss margin is.

The rewards these days are a zillion times better than they used to be.

There was a 2 - 3 year stretch were I had finished all the FSQ's except the breeding ones. I did my best to finish them. I refuse to use RM to breed animals for FSQ's. I was able to finish a few of the breeding FSQs. It was painful to throw away Lvl 9 & Lvl 10 animals for less than a 1 million CCs, but hey, it is just a game.

One of the contributing factors for me leaving the game for a year was the lack of new FSQ's. When I came back. There were lots of new ones, but I'm 1/2 finished with them (except the breeding ones).

They gave me enough GBs to open everything in Baha (that was introduced while I was gone) except the pet sloth which I will have open before the end of the month from completing more FSQ's.

This is the beauty of this game we can focus on what we like and dismiss other aspects.

I am sharing all of this with you to let you know that BP has improved the FSQ's and I seriously doubt that they will ever make the FSQ's profitable.

I'm with Moraine in not caring about my CC balance much (except in keeping it above a million for emergencies) but I'm not building toward a billion or any other CC goal.

I'm one of the odd ones who try to do as many FSQs as possible as quickly as possible so I buy and sell like crazy in order to complete them. Even spending 1 and a half million CCs to get the 10 lions needed for the first level of that specific FSQ :p

Still working on completing Celeb's Table - only need 3000 pumpkins (which I will probably go and buy in the market) to get the pink bear which is the diamond tab on the fourth level, then it's only level 5 left to do.

While doing Celeb's Table, I'm actually also building up my Lynx stock and will soon start building up my Paw Pops so that when I get to level 95, I have what is needed for the new FSQ - Sweet Letters. This one actually has a few prizes that I'm really looking forward to - Candle Workshop, Snail stall and Lion habitat.

So to answer your question langen97, most of the time the rewards really aren't worth it but my personal goal is to one day open up the Farmer's Society and only have one or two quests waiting for me on that level, and where I can check the FAQ - Farmer's Society Quest and Rewards Thread and build up what is needed for the quest at the next level (if there is one).

    EDIT:
sglick posted same time as me :D

We're the same, doing the FSQs where many others don't like them ;)

Interesting to see what all your thoughts are on this :) I actually started playing this game back in 2011 I think, but came back some months ago, and a lot has changed since then, but not all. All the new quests and events certainly do make the game a lot more satisfying to play which is why I'm still hanging around. I agree the rewards have become a lot better than what they used to to be and so much has improved since back then.

when it comes to the quest I am as I said, happy either way. Scary thought I might even do them if there wasn't a reward, but good reward does help on the motivation now and again. Put in a pain pallet tree and I'm hyper motivated.

Now if we talk about those silly customers in the farm house - now those I think definitive need an upgrade. If they offered CC above market price (or top of the market slider bar) those might become interesting.

I totally agree with you about the farmhouse customers, I never donate to them, mostly because I forget :p, but also, I don't really see the use or benefit...

Moraine - Where did you get the idea of a Pain Pallet tree? Do you know the history of that term? I still think we need one. :)

Personally, I leave the customers alone. Once, I finish the FSQs, then I will go back to the customers.

Well, Langen's suggestion boils down to motivation and reward basically. I think for a lot of farmers the reward really is to tick the quests off. But customers those are slightly different, not much to tick, and I think very few does them. They are truly a waste of goods as they are now.

If they suddenly became a bit more like a money spinner, (+EP/TEP) - I think they would become interesting. As Langen points out, there's gotta be an upside of doing it.

Maoraine - The payoff with the customers is the EPs. They can seriously help someone to level up quickly.

Oh yes I nearly forgot about the farmhouse customers.. I guess that should be first on their to do list to fix:p Can't really remember it has changed much these past years, but it really should.
