game issues

I have read everyone else's posts, about the crash issues and slowness of game, during the last event.

I am/was having the shockwave crash issues, and not being able to log in - or change fields - without being kicked out. I figured it was everyone using the EP birthday gift, as well as the calendar, as well as the event. This crash, log, change field thing always goes on when you guys add too many things to the game (in a short period of time), but now I have a new issue that also started with all the new December additions.

Farmerama is disconnecting me from the internet. If I am doing anything else I stay connected. If I am in Farmerama, I will be disconnected. Any advice? Ideas?

Hello BonbonQueen,

The issue was only when harvesting a field. You can try clearing your browser cache and cookies and also clearing your Flash cache to see if that helps. Have you checked to see if you have the latest version of Shockwave player and browser installed? Have you tried another browser to see if you have the same issues?

I understand where the reported issues were, and my farm seems to have a greater number of problems. I have had issues switching fields, and getting logged in, specifically, and of course the fact that i still can't get all my fields harvested without getting kicked off the internet.

If I leave Farmerama, staying in the browser on another tab, the internet will come back up (in a few minutes) and allow me to get back into Farmerama. I may then harvest one more field, but if I go to change fields - especially the islands- the flower starts spinning.

I have not tried another browser. Chrome updates itself, and everyone else's chromes have updated (per the threads I have read).

I have used CCLeaner over and over again. Wiping Farmerama from the computer's memory also allows the internet to come up. (Then see paragraph 2, cycle and repeat, and repeat.)

I had hoped there might be an actual technical crew that would be able to look into the problem, because my issue is over and above the non-responsive shockwave of the weekend.

 

Aside: I am currently in the game. Once the initial harvests, EP clears, have happened the game is able to hold a more stable position. It seemed that way yesterday as well. The farm just can't handle the pet and cloud buffs, craft treats, AND field clearing and harvesting, without kicking me off the internet.

As your problem is more than the harvesting issue that has been reported to be working better, the problem is likely on your end.
Chrome will only update if you have the settings turned to automatically update.

Have you tried using chrome to clear browser cache and cookies rather than CCleaner? What version of chrome and flash are you using?

I have cleared through chrome and ccleaner. The farm doesn't seem to have an issue, once I have done the 20 in/outs to get the fields cleared. When I am doing maintenance it seems to be able to stay in game.

I have just come back in, from the first kick out for today. I got through part of the cloud buffs. No pets, craft treats or field buffs as yet. I have not been in game since last night, so I can count on the game kicking me off the internet (because all fields are full and all the buffs will be enacted).

As stated previously, this only happens when I am in farmerama. I can surf, play backgammon etc and not have the problem.

My chrome is set to auto update, but I did go in and confirm all browsers and flashes are up to date. They are.

Any other suggestions?

I just got finished with my first clearing of the day. The harvester (48hr from the calendar) is at 47 hr, so it took an hour to do what would normally not take more than 15 min. And that's if all the clouds need to be cleared. It did take most of that time to do the clouds (today).

Now I will be able to stay in game.

Just wanted to share. Isn't there a "tech" person who can check this out? Isn't it possible I have a hiccup in my BIG farm? I do keep all animals, houses, trees, buffs, craft treats etc working at all times. And I have everything, but 2 kinds of trees....

Now this is the first time I have been able to get back into the game, so I spoke too soon earlier.
Every time I tried IF I got it to try to load at all, not just spin on the browser, it would load to 55% and sit.
Now that the east coasters are all going to bed, we west coasters may have an opportunity at some of the harvester and harvest gifted from the calendar.
It is pretty disappointing that I was not able to use last weeks gift, and to see the potential of having the same problem with this weeks gift! Too many players in at the same time with not enough server power??? This happened before, a couple years ago, when you were pushing for more players. It's a real bummer!!!

The Game Team have been notified of the problems and are working on a solution. In the meantime, you can try turning off animations/harvest icons and lower the Game quality in Game settings to see if that helps until a fix is found.

My purpose for posting in multiples, was so you and the technicians could see the time delays/frames I was working with. If you see specifically that I was in game 3:36:49 ago, and I am telling you I am JUST able to get back into game - then you know more information. If I just edit the post doesn't it just say "edited 10 minutes ago"? Or would it give a time stamp to original post, addendum time, next addendum time, etc?

Today was MUCH better. I was kicked off after activating the first 9 cloud rows. But, once I got back in I was able to complete the balance of the cloud rows, hit all the field and craft buffs, AND complete all my fields. YEA!

So wanted to share the information. At this point, I would love for you to clarify my questions about "double posting" -v- adding addendum(s) asked in the first paragraph. Once answered, you may close the thread, thank you.

I am glad that you are able to stay logged in for longer. We still have not heard about any fixes for this at this stage.

No, thank you. Thanks for working on the fixes. It gets better but there are still some drag issues. Today seems more stable than yesterday.
