I almost did the same mistake. But I was on the lettuce so an alarm bell did go off inside my head. And for ones I didn't hit the snooze button. Sorry to hear your alarm didn't go off, poo isn't unnormal at those prices :( (would have been a bargain today)

Not sure how this would effect the market in the long run tho. I guess it helps to spot if an item is rising or falling, but those keen merchants already knows this. And the rest of us are more like sheep, we run in flock and spend very little brain power and more CC. Do sheep farmers need to know the countdown of an offer ? o_O <- me trying to think

Not sure why we need a countdown of every single offer on the market. I've been watching it just out of curiosity. I've often wondered on some items whether they actually ever sold or just the offers expired. So know I have an idea of whats going on with them. But not loving the time on every single offer. Handy for our own but why would we need to see all offer times? I don't know

So event is inching closer to an end and people are setting out their newly acquired cat pens. I have a nice little stock of kitties I've been buying up since last year in anticipation of cat breeding (made sense once dogs were made breeders cats would be too;)). Prices are around 10,000 in my market and I can't decide: sell now, or hold until breeding gets here on the 10th and gamble prices will rise yet more.:p Any thoughts, oh great gurus?

I doubt the price would drop when the event is on, so if it's for selling you might as well hold on a bit longer. There's always people that think they will make do with what they can make during the event only to find themselves being a tad bit short on the stocks anyway. My observation is that items tends to be at it's highest 2-3 days in an event.

But that is just a dog's thoughts.

There's a concept that's called reference price. Basically it is the first price the customer see and from there on base their perception of other sales of the same type are cheap or expensive. It's very very much used to manipulate us buyers in online shopping, making us think we've done a bargain.

One of the first thing I did as a new farmer was checking out the price of carrots, wheat and lettuce. The prices of that time period (my first weeks) are what in my mind has become "the normal price", anything above that I have labelled expensive and anything bellow is cheap. The few last months "cheap" has become a bargain. Today I saw someone dumping around 20K of wheat unto the market with my base price.... and I bought it, I bought it all. My perception of cheap, normal and expensive is changing  Anyone else has the same affect ?

Now my mind is pondering (and my head hurts - not sure there's a correlation ...) Have the prices always been trending upwards ? Have the market ever totally crashed ? Is this an annual HH bubble ? I am so excited for the upcoming harvest event, how will this effect the market ? I should upgrade my trophies, but I am holding back until I see how the HH affects pricing. I could potentially become rich!! :D

    Or go bust trying xD
