    Read up on this & it seems you need BB's to participate? Also, as a new player, I "need" {want} lots of things but obviously don't have much to offer.

    Any suggestions?

    You do not need BB's to participate. If you don't have much to offer, post your wish list in the appropriate thread and make plans for the next G&T. Your unused gift, trade/exchange and sell licenses will be held over for you until the next event.

    As stated in the FAQ;
    Therefore it is possible to participate without using BBs
