It would be nicer if we could get the spooky wonder trees. Like, at Step Whichever we could get a few wondertrees that we could only plant next full moon.

 

.. my first view on this:

OK: Nice idea, complex but not complicated. Graphics very nice

Not OK: The drop rate is really BAD.. How shall we get all the drops, when one harvest of crops (2 parts opened) is giving just ONE drop?

-edit- is the fact, that each time I want to harvest a fairy den, I have to completely log out and in again.. (F5, cache clearing etc even cleaning my front room window is NOT working, so don't suggest these steps, all done already).
This is precious growing time lost, even when it's only a few minutes, its all adding up.

Only this fact is giving me enough reasons to give that event a thumbs down!


If BP is able to solve the always imminent and always repeating technical problems, this game could really be fun. But not at the moment.

 

I'm in here to complain about the drops too. I just did my first harvest -- ZERO drops! Come on, BP.

Having the same problem as clonahmom on the harvest of fairy den as well.

 

The concept of this event is nice but unrealistic.

Right now the Event will be active for another 138 hours.
Grow times for the crops, with water and manure applied are approx 3:30 (bulbs) and 4:40 (herbs)

This means we can maximum do, without ANY idle time

138/3.5 = 40 harvests with bulbs
or
138/4.66 = 30 harvests with herbs.

Max number of plots = 125, max harvest progress = 1 crop per 1x1 plot

Given the extra crops from the quest,

To get max number of plots needs 920 bulbs .. due to starting with just 50 plots, this takes 10 harvests with bulbs
To complete the quest needs another 725 bulbs and 725 herbs, with max number of plots, this takes 6 harvests of each
To upgrade dens, needs 600 herbs, with max number of plots, this takes 5 harvests with herbs. Without upgrades one won't make it to 100 on the progress bar in time - only 34 full time harvests of den fit in 138 hrs)

Totals so far = 16 harvests with bulbs (56 hours) and 11 harvests with herbs (51.5 hours) = 107.5 hours

That leaves 30 hours to grow any additional herbs needed to speed up den harvest time.
Uh.. I live a life and 30 hours certainly is the time my farm will be idle during the event.

All in all this timed Event is very very tight and only doable when farmers are able to harvest 24/7. Many players won't.

I suggest the BP team to rethink about such a strickly timed event without the use of SG, SSG or buffs.

 

Ouch, I can't harvest 24/7 -- I do sleep, have a life, and I'm away part of tomorrow. :/ Agree, habalala -- BP needs to rethink the time frame on this one.

ETA: I also noticed you can't spend a BB to buy one Breath of Life -- to send as a gift to an extra friend/neighbour (since our gift sends are so limited), or to buy if you're short one. It's baskets or nothing. Really?

 

I'd like to add my voice to the growing throng. I like this event. It's neat to do all this stuff. Very clever.
However, I've harvested from two fields twice. Each harvest has given me one drop. Just one. We need 8 to toss in the cauldron for either the Grimoire or the Magic Meal. I see no way to complete the fairy portion of this event. We'll never be able to harvest the faeries required in time. Some one dropped the ball when they tried to think this event through.

 

I love that this event has it's own separate play field. I have my own goals on my farm and find that with all the events we have, I simply can't participate as I can never get my own farming in, in between all the events. For once I can actually participate. Even if I don't finish (which I won't!) I can at least get involved, so I love that! Thank you!

Definitely worth considering the complaints of others - I have no intention of finishing this event as a game isn't worth the stress to me, but I know a lot of people really enjoy participating in the events to their completion, and it seems like you've made that unrealistically tough to do. If I were intending to finish the event I'd be pretty ticked off too!

This is a very challenging event as many of them seem to be. I feel as if my time management and multi-tasking skills are really being exercised here as they often are with this game, which is a positive thing. I am concerned, as usual that there will not be enough time to complete this event in the range allowed, however it seems with events like this, once progress continues to grow I have historically finished with time to spare.

I really just wanted to comment on the event atmosphere. The graphics, sound effects and musical tunes are excellent. I really feel Halloween spirit here and hope that other players do also.

Thank you game team for the beautifully themed game lay out, I am really enjoying being here during this event.

 

Love the graphics - as ever the team have excelled itself.

Don't like that our magic trees don't give drops.
Don't like that to finish we need to live by our computers all the time.
Would have liked MM fields to be open till the end of the event.


I realize that I will not finish so am relaxed about that - funnily enough I have a life outside of Farmerama although sometimes it seems it takes over.

Perhaps there should be a cross section of players in the Farmerama building so that the powers-that-be can see how impossible it is to do everything. Make allowances for slow internet speed etc.

 

3 event fields ready to harvest this morning (75 plots) -- ZERO drops. Need I say more?

 

I really love the graphics and Halloween theme but so far this event is not very enjoyable for me as it is way too slow to make interesting progress. The fact that we cannot use CAC, SG, or SSG is not a challenge in my opinion, it is an annoyance. That is just my opinion though, maybe others are having lots of fun with it and that's great! I wanted to have fun with this event, but unable to so far. Maybe after all of my fields are unlocked, it'll get better. The drops are ... wait, what drops?

 

This event is a test in hope, patience, persistence and acceptance.

 

Love the concept of this event Really LOVE the tree....if it stayed I'd be super okay with that
However, for me it is a pipe dream to finish. The limitations are just too overbearing for a player that has to juggle RL (work) with my fantasy farm "requirements"I find the requiements unrealistic

 

Graphics are great, but drops are way too low, but I'm still enjoying the event, and will do what I can

 

I have yet to get a drop from my fields. Losing interest fast. Otherwise a nice event and graphics.

 

Graphics excellent... event dreadful ...If anyone finishes this event they will be mighty lucky .... I dont want to spend all night and all day in front of a computer to do an event I like fresh air .... that's what it will take to complete this event... all we can use to help us is Manure and water ...or buy a virtual basket to complete it ...this is advertised as a free game and thats how I am playing it
Cannot see myself completing this event...the drops are dreadful
letting us use CAC etc would have been helpful and made it better

Even the event before this in MM we could mill to make something to make the time less and use CAC etc
If this is what events are going to be like in the future ...then I will find another game to play

 

It would be great if the fairy tree with the flying fairy cats, as seen from the farm map, could be bought for a couple of BB's (CC's would be better though, even at a very high price). Whoever designed this tree has done a fantastic job and it will be a shame to see it go once the event is over. It's one of the nicest graphics I have ever seen. It would be a lovely addition to the farm and could be used like the magic tree, give a drop for moonlight events and ep during normal times. Just a thought.......

 

Same boat as many others - I work/have a life. A real shame that a potentially great event gets downgraded because of lack of forethought. If I thought I stood a chance of finishing I would have bought a basket, but I don't so I'm going down the chilled route and won't buy one.
There's an SG event on - why - it's not like we can use it on the crops; silly BP I'd have bought some to finish if I could use it on the event playfield, but your loss I'll keep my money.
