Geezus this is complicated

 

Yes, I can't seem to get my head round no buffs. The growing time is going to be soooo long!

 

Not so much when we read all of the wonderful advice that has already been offered by many lovely players.

Also Nellie, although your unpleasant and incorrect post to iDavis has mysteriously vanished now the other correct replies still remain...

I did a little of this -- still trying to figure it all out. I won't be around much tomorrow, but I'll see if I can get a few prizes anyway.

 

I don't know why, but the FAQs for these type of events (involving the special field) always sound horribly complicated. Then the event starts and I go take a look and wind up scratching my head - it's not hard...grow da plants, trade for the upgrades, do the special quest and voila! It seems like far more work than it really is when it's all written out (which makes no sense, I know)...

Anyway, I appreciate having another couple days of MM and that the quest stage 4 gives us one each of the rare trees that we all seem to have not gotten at least one each of during the eerie wonder tree sale.

 

@dumbunny , yes they are my thoughts exactly! Unless you try the event it sometimes makes no sense reading the FQS So if you are on the fence go and at least try the Companion Quest! You can get some great prizes!

 

Somehow I have managed to advance to 5 of the 100 required harvest of Fairy Dens. I have opened up two more plots but I think it will take a while to get the other two open lol! I need 730 Venom Bulbs and I only had 20 to plant - not sure how I could have done any better, it was either open the plot (and get access to another Fairy Den) or build up seeds. Oh well, think I have done okay for the first day.
I will not be making any Grimoires until I have opened up all the land and got access to all Fairy Dens. I may make Magic Meals though - not sure, can't make up my mind!

The only thing I don't like is the length of growing time. I refuse to stay on the computer all night (as well as what seems all day) till the next harvest time so will have to see how I get on tomorrow. Good thing my shifts worked out okay for this event and the extra MM!

How's everyone else doing?

 

Started 30 min late, did the quest up to the event donation. Then bought a field, upgraded 1 den one level. About to harvest in a few minutes. I must not leave my computer to make tea or anything. Then I'll lose track of time again. Plan is to open next field. Then replant, and see what I got. Fields first, then upgrade dens, and then the rest is all about the quest, shouldn't be too hard rriiiiight

Perhaps it is me but my fairy house looks like it is ready to harvest with a cation sign but nothing harvests How are you harvesting fairy houses?

 

I just harvested my first planting (2 areas) of event crops, and only got 2 drops. I've switched over to 1x1s for the next harvest just to see if drops improve.
tpasewing I had to refresh to get the harvest icon to appear.

 

I started 2 hours late. I wasn't planning on doing any of this since I'm away part of the day tomorrow, so didn't rush to get in here. But after reading through the FAQ a little more and looking at the FSQ (not as high demand as I assumed it would be), I thought I'd see how far I can go. It's there, might as well try it, even if tomorrow is a bit of a write-off. Besides, I have none of those new trees in the FSQ!

We'll see how far I can get in this...

ETA: Am I reading the FAQ and FSQ correctly -- both the fairy den harvests and the FSQ give you the CR givers?

 

I had also this effect, cannot harvest with the cation sign , Then I refresh the game, click the
den again, the normal harvest sign come out I could harvest the den.

 

I'm following Puppiesnponies directive to the letter; I have no mind of my own at this hour and it seems to be the best plan. Can someone enlighten me as to how to harvest the fairies all my buttons are useless, why? I don't know.

I had the same problem and refreshing didn't work for me. For those who don't have the barn icon when ready to harvest the fairy den: If refreshing doesn't solve the problem for you, log out of the game, close your browser, reopen browser and log back into the game. The barn icon should be there -- that's what worked for me.

I used 1x1's. NO DROPS

 

Due to volunteering for the elderly I had a late start as well. Opened 2nd field. Decided to use I field for bulbs and 1 for herbs (600 needed for den upgrades and many more for speeding up later on).
With thanks to my neighbours who gifted drops I upgraded the first den twice, so now progressing 3 steps every four hours.

As you can harvest your dens while the bulbs/herbs grow, my advice is to upgrade any available den asap and not to wait with upgrading untill you have all 3 opened. Every extra step you can make early on the progress bar is a bonus, isn't it?

Without buffs this will be a super slow event. Grow and wait isn't exactly my type of Halloween celebration.
