Halloween Fairy Tale

This start really to feel like mission in possible.
Opened 4th field und have only 20 steps of the fairy tail so far. Well, I have 3 of the quest. But still. I am treading on one spot. We need like 4 more days.
Even the nice graphics are not helping with the mood.

 

Sounds a lot what's left on my timer. 118h left that's over 4 and a half days left.
I'm not worried, so far I have 11 steps towards the CR, only done the first 3 on the quest. I'm due to harvest 6 points now, and just opened the 4th field. So one more for that last den. Got 97 crop of that, and 440 needed. Will take some time. + what's needed for the quest. I did plant the longest crop over night. Maybe I would have been better off doing the field-crop. would, could should - it doesn't matter now. I'll reap what I sow.

I'm not worried. If worries need to be done there's plenty of time for that later.

 

look i skipped this thread yesterday like a dummy... i came in today and knew better had well over 43 messages to read...lol me is very tired and sore from working again today... tommrow will be the same... i thank all of yall for doing the math... but me coming in forum late doesnt help me pin point where i stand....

Moraine you have 11 as me but i have 2 fields and one upgraded den.... so we are almost in same spot... so that makes me feel good.... but you 2 extra lands then me... so less i can start pushing that crop soon... you will surely pass me up...

this event reminds me of the one we did not long ago... the vacation one or something.(i can find it later)... i remember pictures (rv)of it and i think it was like a bear picture.... any way this event is the same to me as that... as we got to do quest and open land.... this event though we have dens... that event i dont recall anything extra in... so that makes this somewhat more harder to understand...

point is i couldnt finish quest in town.... but do recall getting the CR... so maybe if i am lucky enough i can pull a CR out of this messy event too....116 hours left of event... havent put alot of effort in cause of my work hours.... but come saturday i will go into full mode and see if i can do this...all i know is drops , well we will have to see... but without all land open drops will almost be zero.... that's given...

 

wow great job on all who have opened more land I have only opened 2 I feel like I'm going no where fast too don't think I like this event much

lol I'm more worried about the quest I guess, Id like to have the trees and the extra givers since it doesn't look like I'm going to be getting them the other way lol that's great tlcmom

Dragging along over on my farm too!! 4 fields, 2 dens (that give 3) open as of last night, 3/4 done with the quest...yes, I bought 3 Giant baskets that's because drops are so low! Do get about 15 drops as gifts per day and send out 15 drop gifts per day so, that helps to have the connections! Thanks @puppiesnponies for the thread and everyone for the advice!

 

Halloween Event Update:

This event it not making any allowances on lost Idle time to keep Fairy dens active nor growing Venom Bulbs or Moonlight Herbs. As we need to make progress on progress Bar as the Target is 100. As some of us already lost idle time, since the start of this event. But still 111 hours of this event remaining. As they could be and will be lost further idle time, that has or will hinder our Target of 100 Progress Points.

As we going to a good balance to nudge away at unlock more field Space(1). Also we need to upgrade fairy dens to work on progress bar(2). Build up stock of Venom Bulbs for Level 4 - Silver, Gold and Diamond so we can obtain an Sarcophagus Tree, Crimson Eye Creeper Tree and Marshmallow Tree(3). As for me it seem impossible to obtain these new trees as we would need 725 Venom Bulbs. Ideally would be nice to plant them in MM field before MM ends as there is only 5 hours left. The chances are impossible now.

It would have been possible to obtain these new trees, if we opted out not Aiming for 100 progress bar, as we would miss out chances of good prizes from Fairy dens, that would mean not aiming to unlock fields. But it would utterly pointless to do this as reaping Venom Bulbs would be so slow, not to mention possible lost idle time.

As we need to have a good Balance of doing (1), (2) and (3) We can get prizes from Level 4 and Level 5 around 30th/31st Oct.

Unfortunately our confusion and frustration is dampen our Enjoyment working on Halloween Event with lovely graphics. It is not easy feat at all for those who are working or doing Multi Farms, busy in RL etc. Risk of lost of idle time to too high, which has put some of you behind schedule to achieve what you hoping to get.

I am currently 23 of progress bar. Field 4 was unlocked yesterday. Now working on Field 5, which needs 440 Venom Bulbs It is always tough to do an event, without Buffs, late starters, lost idle time etc does not help the cause to Enjoy this event As i feel for you Guys and Gals. Just i could Donate some Venom Bulbs. Perhaps we can cross our fingers we might get something from Halloween Calendar that will give us some Event Crops

 

Silly question time: if we upgrade our Fairy Dens, is that permanent or does it just last until the next harvest?

I have 4 plots now (100 spaces) and should open the other today ... sooo slow! I have progressed 15 places on the progress bar and see no way, no matter how I juggle those numbers, that I am ever going to get the CR. I am working all weekend and Monday - all mornings but I don't think that will make much difference, thanks in a way to the length of growing time of the event crops lol!

I am going to just concentrate on finishing the companion quest and if I have any Moonlight Herbs, I will invest them in Magic Meals.

Sound like a plan?

 

I thought upgraded fairy dens were supposed to give better rewards. On my farm this is not the case. I have the fourth level upgrade on the first fairy den and no upgrade on the second. For the last few harvests, the rewards have been identical, low end rewards. The only good thing an upgradeded fairy den gives is more moves up the progress bar.

Der! Colour me stupid! Wish I had done that instead of feeding them those Magic Meals. Though from Growalot's post, perhaps I should leave them as is!

On a positive note, I am 7 kitties and 6 Creepy Willows away from finishing the Mushroom Forest I quest! Those kitties have been fed PF but I shall be putting them on a diet - it's back to normal Creepy Willow and Gripping Grass for those spoiled kitty cats!

 

Just a guess here mind you, but me thinks that's the whole point here. They make no money without sales. To make the event easy peasy is to lose sales. I could be wrong, but I'm a not think so.

 

Almost a third of the way though the event now (I make the total event time 152 hours and there's 104 left). I didn't buy any baskets but did do the first 3 steps of the Companion Quest as soon as the event started.

I've just opened the last area of land, as I've been concentrating on opening land even to the extent of growing venom bulbs overnight. I have 2 fairy dens at level 3 and the newest one is level 1. On the track to open the cloud row I'm on 35 / 100 steps! So, well on track to get that. This doesn't look like so hard an event now.

 

I opened the last section of land this morning and am 30/100 of progress bar. I am still growing venom bulbs to donate to the quest for the spooky tree rewards. Hopefully, things will pick up now that all growing space is available.

 

37 / 100 here... Still have one field to open, working on that now. Upgraded my dens ASAP. I did the upgrade before harvest, you can do this even if it is ready to harvest. That way instead of 1 or 2, I got 2 or 3.
I have no life (just get sleepy watching plants grow)!!

I just bought a giant basket (dirty words may have been uttered sotto voce). I hate having to spend that kind of real money to get through an event. A couple bucks on a tiny basket, okay...gives a bit of a boost - just enough to get through without breaking a sweat. Not this event. Even with the purchase, I'm going to be skin of my teeth.

I stayed up until 1 a.m. last night so that I could open the second addition on the Mushroom field on my other farm. This one isn't even close on the first addition, much less both. Anyway, that's when I realized that this farm was so far behind on event crops that there was no way I was going to finish. I think it's because I got carried away with the special quest. I didn't do that on the other farm - so it's in a good spot. That's what I get for clicking buttons before having ingested enough caffeine.

Does anyone have any clue why they are having a SG and SSG sale this weekend when neither helps one iota with this event? Someone didn't get the memo at BP?

Okay, it's Friday. And my weekend is so full of real life stuff that I don't know how much I'll be able to farm. May have to use the timer on the phone...heavy sigh.
