I have just checked the event timer and thought it was wrong but having looked at the event details, this event finishes at 22h00 (European Time) which for me means I have a very good chance of finishing both the Halloween Fairy Tale and the companion quest! :p

I have finished all but the last section of the quest so I need just 725 Moonlight Herbs for that which means I have reached my main objective - those spooky trees. :)

At the end of today, I will have done 55 Fairy Den harvests: with one Fairy Den at maximum and the other two at basic level, I move five spaces each harvest so I need nine harvests. I shall grow as many Moonlight Herbs as I can and, if I have a shortfall, I will feed the Fairy Dens with Magic Meals. :music:

I see a light at the end of the tunnel! I have enough Breaths of Life (126) to make quite a few Magic Meals though, of course, I need the Herbs too. But I have hope ... which is more than I had before!:inlove:

Thanks...is that still the case if u have the harvestor and unlimited water? and for ex an abundance of manure? just wondering

Yes, elimeno, that is the case for everyone. This event field is set up to level the playing field for all farmers. :)
The only advantage is spending real money on baskets. :music:

Edit... If a farmer can not afford water and manure, they can raise chickens, and sell a few things in the market(sell the chickens?).
Using larger plots will help them, more than it would the farmer with unlimited supply.

It does level the playing field and means that even newbies can really benefit from some nice rewards:)

I'm rounding the backstretch for this event. 85/100 on progress bar and on Diamond level of last step of the quest. Will finish the quest today and the event tomorrow. I likely will allow my event field to return to fallow fields as I am tired. Prizes have been nice....EP, TEP, CC, MM items (trees, upgrades and slime pit), new MM buffs, Farm coins, etc.

I overlooked the finish time and thought it ended at the same time as beginning but those extra hours will really help those who are still working.

Overall, it started off as a worrisome event that seemed like an impossible task but I can see the summit and the tree at the top is just lovely:)

Using your strategy PnP, I'm nearly the same place as you are. I've 73/100 on the progress bar and would be on the diamond level of the quest if I weren't waiting for the crop to finish the entire quest at once. (Meaning I have the crop for the first two, just awaiting enough crop to finish the whole thing at once).

As far as the fairy huts are concerned, I have upgraded the first two huts completely. The third hut is not upgraded at all. I will upgrade it when I've completed the quest. The results of the upgrades are 5 faeries per harvest. 2+2+1 = 5 total.

    Thanks @sanddollar15 and @puppiesnponies. :)

Opening up more land and upgrading the Fairy Dens early on really helped to speed things up. I didn't start working on the last two levels of the companion quest until after I got those two things out of the way.

Kind of regret upgrading my Fairy Dens past level 3, though. Those crops and drops would've been better spent on magic meals...

Don't forget that Daylight Saving Time ended in Germany today (Oct 29) at 3:00. When they made the switch from CEST to CET, they moved their clocks back 1 hour, so we gained an extra hour for this event. :)

In other words, the event will end on Oct 31 at 22:00 local time in Germany, which is 22:00 CET and not 22:00 CEST as stated in the OA.

Sirpippen if you have 2 fully maxed dens and 1 at lvl1 that combination will move you on 7 places each full harvest of the 3 dens, which should mean 4 more harvests for you to get the CR

The event timer shows slightly less than 48h remaining.

If you mouse over the dens it will show you how many you get for each harvest. I have three stars and 2 per harvest on each of the three dens. The meter shows I've completed 75-76/100 on my three farms. So one farm needs 4 more harvests the other two farms need 5 more harvests, 16-20h if I harvest in my sleep tonight. I don't think the loot is any better with three stars. Anyone that upgraded all the way think the loot is better?

I'm growing the shorter time crop right during the day now. I need 2 more harvests after the current one to finish that level of the quest. I need one more harvest of the longer time crop to completely finish the quest.

I thought this event was deceptively easy. The hard part was reading the FAQ and deciding the order and... working around my RL schedule.

I followed the strategy I mentioned earlier with a few adjustments. Same strategy mentioned by many others.
    1. I, as usual, skimmed the FAQ. Mistakenly thinking I needed MM assets for the first three levels of the quest. Turned out I was able to donate carnations for Level 1. I probably used up less than 1% of my stock. For level 2 I used beaver for first two farms then... I forget what farm 3 had. Level 3 I used duskshadow.
    2. I then focused on opening all sections of the event field. Growing the shorter crops exclusively til done. Then I ended up with a combination of both because I was distracted by RL. Eventually they synced up and I started growing only the longer crop.
    3. Somewhere during the first 2 agenda items, lol, I upgraded the pens.
    4. After I finish the quest I'll grow some more MHerbs... maybe... lol...
I did manage to do a little growing on the reg MM fields but fell asleep missing the last 6h and the opportunity to put a long growing crop on the fields. Oh well...

I really liked this event cause I got to exercise the last few remaining cells of gray matter that I still have. For me the game has gotten boring because it's mostly busy work instead an opportunity practice using logic and strategize. The past couple of years the events seem like a temptation to spend RM to complete rather than use one's brain or because of RL schedules. I don't enjoy spending money on games... I prefer to spend money on tangibles or invest in my future.

    EDIT:
I guess some are complaining about the drop rate...
I have 66 drops right now. I only used them to upgrade the pens to 3 star and maybe a couple of Happy Meals, lol. If I have the time and inclination I'll upgrade the pens to the fourth level and/or make some meals to feed the fairy dens.

Question... how many drops are the people that have NOT upgraded the LL rune to 30 getting for the whole event? BP dumbdown the use of buffs so I'm wondering if the LL rune didn't apply either.
    3 dens * 3 upgrades * 8 drops = 72 drops + 2 * 4 meals = 8 + 66 = 146 drops for entire event for me.

not sure if it was because of upgrades, but did get xxl Nightgleam Orb and a Fairy House.

I got a few Nightgleam, a cat fairy, cpl slime pits, and at least one DL firefly. Didn't bother to make note of which farm tho... lol

I was trying to track the amt of EP, BEP or CC to see if the rewards were better.

    EDIT:
I may have been thinking about that incorrectly... I just looked at the updated FAQ and probably should be considering the frequency of Jackpots?

So far have opened all the lands and the dens Have 3 dens at level 3 and am 66/100 so dont think i will be getting to the finishing line
Need 159 venum bulbs to finish the FS event
And need to finish the cloud row
Not being able to use SG and CAC has made this event VERY hard and very boring
Wasn't the best event for new players ...having to give the barn away that they had started to get together for the FS part of the event

Am now at 91/100 to get the cloud row
And need 119 venum bulbs to finish the FS Quest
So far the fairies have given me EP ... very ex sigh ting :sleepy:

BUT the fairy dens have helped me to get to 91/100

Phew at last got the Cloud Row unlocked. I used only Two Fairy Dens both at level 4. There was no need to unlock Zone 5, finishing the Quest was more important and rewarding ;) I got a Slime Pit, Dragon Firefly and some trees.

Just two more rounds of Moonlight Bulbs. So this event is done later today. ;)

Please that some of you got some good prizes. As they are very hard to come by as Randomness did not help us. As the upgrading the Fairy Dens did not seem to helped much :sleepy:

I did keep track of my event rewards on this farm only and while it did seem like the upgraded fairy dens did not provide better chances for the jackpot items, my stats indicate otherwise. While I did get some nice rewards on low level fairy dens, they were not actually jackpot items (I had to go back to FAQ to see which were jackpot).

    One step fairy dens - 1 jackpot/42 harvests = 2%
    Two step fairy dens - 1 jackpot/14 harvests =7%
    Three step fairy dens- 3 jackpot/45 harvests = 6.67%

Congratulations to all who have completed this event!xD I am at 98/100 on the progress bar!
I should have that completed when I harvest the Fairy Dens around 10am my time! And I need 135 Moonlight Herbs to finish the last task in the FSQ and then I will have completed the Whole thing! I got
a Cat Fairy house, a Slime Monster Pit, and a Darklight firefly! xD Not bad considering I thought I would only do the Quest to get those rare MM trees! It can be done, you just have to want to work at it and have the time to do so!;) Happy Halloween !

So the other farm (sewinglady) finished yesterday. This farm is at 73/100. The good news is that last night's fairy hut harvest brought a cat fairy stable. woot!
