Feedback Harvest Event & Top 1000

Howdy Farmers,

As you all know Farmerama held in the last years a “Harvest Event” which always included a Top list and granted special rewards for the “Top” users.

Due to several issues in the past years and your feedback that the Top Events became unfair/ too frustrating, we wonder if you are still interested in a Top Event or if you´d prefer if we would prepare a “Harvest Event” without the usual Top ranking.

Please don´t misunderstand this question: of course, we are willing to aim for a Top Event which is balanced in a fair way, but as you might imagine this is due to different expectations/wishes difficult to realize. Also, it´s unfortunately not easy to avoid some of the issues of the past years.

So please take part to the poll and feel free to share your ideas, wishes and expectations. We will close the thread in one week from today (Thursday August 2nd at 18:00 CEST) and the moderators will forward the results and your feedback to the Farmerama team.

No one of my farms is ready for the Top 1000 attempt, but I do like rooting for friends and neighbors.
When you close the thread, if possible, please publish the vote tally.

 

Each Farmerama event needs a ranking, because each event with a ranking is the opportunity to meet Farmerama user world wide.

For new Farmerama user resumed, the last year “Harvest Event” (« Home Sweet Home ») runs during eight days long. The participant accedes to the donation possibility and can give one cress before managing the first part to the main event. The main event is organized in two parts. The first part gives the Sticker, the Magic Stalk Row and other rewards like the valuable gadget wich helps accomplish several steps to part two of the main event. Part two of the main event overlaps the Top up to the top. This means, that the Solved Part One Main Event Consequency is the logical donation of 3500000 Exchange Value to get several rewards. Otherwise, the system gives only 42000 Experience Points and 42000 Tropical Experience Points in return (after the event). Once the logical donation be realized (main event, part two), the Farmerama user check up the reward and can decide to complete the next logical step: get more rewards. Once the ritual be completed, the Farmerama user realize that a place in the Top is not a dream.

To reduce frustration, I suggest this year the ‘2017 Farmerama Top 3000’ moderated replay (more about in « Less Than Lesser », round 17).

Question:
If I see the « YES » in danger on the english language Farmerama Bigpoint forum, do I have the right to create enough usernames to help the result? And, if other language Farmerama Bigpoint forums need help to decide « YES », do I have the right to click « YES » Farmerama world wide or does the first forum username vote be the only regular one to one regular user?

As you can see from the poll above: the game developers don't want to organize the biggest event of the year (autumn TOP X event / Harvest Event), the same way as before.

In my opinion the game itself needs this event, just the procedure/organization has to change.
Change in a way that it would be acceptable and attractive at the same time for most of the players. Namely: exceptional performance should be rewarded outstandingly, in a way that "smaller" farmers wouldn't be excluded from the event.

I ask everybody who sees possibility in my suggestion, to "Like" this post. The more of you click on the like button, the stronger our proposal will be, which we will send to the game developers as a feedback.


Suggestion:
The TOP event will focuse on the "Donation" from the barn. There wouldn't be a small event to be completed before the real part of the TOP. But there would be a quest to help smaller players.

The details of the quest:

-event crop (8 hours) /plantable on all fields/
-drop: Golden acorn /you can get it from every fields from plants, stalls, trees/
-Value of the 'Golden acorn': 5.000 EV

(First column: event crop requirements and second column: reward drops
For example in the first task you have to give in 5000 event crops and you will receive 2000 drops)


The TOP Event would be: Simply donating from the barn.
Big difference: No competition! Everybody could count out what he/she can achive by their barn value they willing to donate. At the end of the event there would be a TOP1000 list, showing the players who have donated the most. But the rewards wouldn't depend on which placement a farmer achived. (Whether he/she is in the TOP1000 or not.)

However: There would be a "Global counter" which would add up every donation from every player. The farmers who participate and give in at least 10.000.000 EV (exchange/barn value), would receive a cloudrow after the event. (Anybody could reach 10 million EV easily by the quest. In the first task for 5000 eventcrops, the reward is 2000 drops. Which equals to 10 million EV.)
The cloudrow would be better and better everytime the global community reaches certain milestones together.

-after every 200.000.000 EV donation, the reward is one "Owl egg" or maybe a new decoration, which will get an upgrade after every 200.000.000 EV donation, which would offer 10% EP bonus

I hope that many of you like the basic idea (of course this is just a suggestion, but on these guidelines the game developers could work out something similar) and that we will get an autumn TOP event this year as well.

If you have the right or not is not for me to say. But to do something like that goes against the whole point of the poll. Then we might as well close the poll, ask your opinion and be done with it

Your team leaders statement quoted above, goes against what our official announcement says. Our OA does not say the game developers doesn't want to organize the event in the same way, but rather that based on player feedback they want to know if we want any changes. I find it very unfortunate that the Hungarian OA differs from the others I have seen (EN, DE, DA).

 

Thank You to share your point of view about the liberty to proceed. I agree: create enough usernames to promote the result and propagate multiple voting on a Farmerama international prospect manner is against the point of the poll (I edit my signature to say, that my vote to the 2018 Harvest event is registered on the english language Farmerama Bigpoint forum).

To develop an instant check of the poll progression, my yesterdays first reply is as follows

What do You think about the « Less Than Lesser », round 17?
As soon as the delegation tells about the ‘2017 Top 1000 Replay’ named the ‘2018 Top like Cress’ in each of the 15 other language Farmerama Bigpoint forum, we need a poll to decide, if the hungarian petition be valid. YES or NO: Does the hungarian Farmerama team leader have the right to organize a petition using the « Like » option on other language Farmerama Bigpoint forums?

If « YES », create the only and one international Farmerama Bigpoint forum.
If « NO », restore archived perspectives.

 

I would like a Top 1000 Harvest event with some caveats. First, I do like the idea of a FSQ, like old style events or like last years event, before the ability to donate to possibly to get on Top 1000. Second, I would also like to see that you HAVE to finish the whole event, not just part of it, before donation and you can't buy your way through the event with BBs. If you don't actually farm i.e., event crops, drops, you can't participate in the Top 1000.

One last thing, either make it easy on things like breeding animals and such or make the event level and/or time dependent. If you are level 100, you should have a healthy stock. If you are level 80, you may or may not. This needs to feel like an event that any level can do.

 

What was wrong with the Top 1000?? Wasn't it to see who had developed the best farm/farming practices??
Why would we want more grow-events when we can hardly keep up with what is thrown at us now??

I was really very surprised and upset to see that it is even possible for BP to think about getting rid of the event of the year, TOP1000.

Every week we have 1 or even 3 events, so this event might represent 1% from the total.

So people are frustrated because they can’t do it?

Last year I found out about this event just 4 months before it, so when I participated I was playing Farmerama for 10 months only, I was well below level 100. And I came on the 8th position, world classification.

So the event is possible and achievable for everyone, in the actual form, if there is wish and commitment.

It is not a compulsory event, but it is something that can keep us active for the whole year, otherwise by just planting some event plant and some carnations for more drop....it will just not be the same game.

Imho, it also can give us a REALLY TOP challenge and a good feeling just to be able to participate, winning some nice 'extras' along the way -and/or cheering on our fellow Farmers who DO enter!
What's the challenge if it just becomes another Quest, or a 'grow' - a temporary chore? Ho Hum. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

We all have our own thoughts on the matter, of course, but I would like to know - worldwide - who those Farmers are. **It gives us something to strive for!!**
And as a low-mid level farm (L82) who won't be able to enter for a while (probably a loooooooonnnnggggg while!!), I find that challenge very encouraging - even inspiring!! (Daunting...but ...Whoo Hooo!! Let's get to it!!)

 

While I, myself have never had the soccerballs to do it; many brave farmers empty a years worth of blood, sweat and tears into this much beloved event. I am an avid fan and dream of one day being one of these truly demented heroes! They deserve a special reward worthy of their efforts that us bystanders can only stare at longingly and ultimately inspire us to be better farmers.
The theme of this game is farming. So lets get back to farming and preparing this ANNUAL barn burning event that brings the entire farming community together.

 

Historically, the Harvest Hoedown has been an event that everyone can participate it followed by the donation aspect for the Top 1000. I am not saying do the event only, just some rules for this specific event, if you want to be in the Top 1000.

Edit: When I said time dependent, I meant how long the farm has actually been around, not a timed quest.

 

As I understand, You ask us to like following approach:

The Farmerama user is free to give thirty thousand 8 hour event crop units to receive 97500000 Exchange Value in return. This is enough to stay on place 2118 in the ‘2017 Top 1000’.

Continue using last years result, the Farmerama user staying on place number one receives one Owl Egg with 73 upgrades.

Knowing, that the first Owl Egg owner actually stays on place 1327 (in consideration of the « Less Than Lesser », round 17 approach), that the first upgrade owner stays on place 673, the second upgrade owner on place 107, the third on place 48, the next on 35, then 20, 15, 11, 9 and 8: this makes one base owner, one upgrade.1 owner, 1.upgrade.2 owner, 1.upgrade.3, 1.upgrade.4, 1.upgrade.5, 1.upgrade.6, 1.upgrade.7, 1.upgrade.8 and 1.upgrade.9 owner exist.
So, the Farmerama Community be able to confirm each step to the first ten stages of the ‘2018 Top 1000’ item.

Look at place 7 and 6.
Twice!
Together they get 26 upgrades!!
Does the developer design upgrade eleven and twelve?

Look at place 5: 16 upgrades.
Does the developer give a style to upgrade fourteen and fifteen?
And place 4: 25 upgrades.
Why create eight more lost upgrade views (17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24)?

To solve the first problem related to your petition, I suggest following example: As soon as one competitor stays on the same upgrade level with somebody who wants to get the next upgrade, both are now in duel. Each duellist has to decide his own Final Offer Capacity (the real final capacity can be more, but not less). The higher Final Offer Capacity gets green light to decide YES or NO: « Take the chance to going on now or stay to check up others capacity. » (only You know the amount of your running Final Offer Capacity, the system knows about more or less the moment You stay or get green to go; the support can not help You; if You need help, a ‘Safety Car’ like proceeding pass actual archives open to everyone in revue - at the latest once the event ends). If You do not decide green to go, the system kick You to the next position with the last ranking update. To actualize Green, add minimum one cress (if Green do not appears, talk about on the Farmerama Bigpoint forum, perhaps, one cress is not enough). To claim an already taken upgrade status, you have to fix the upgrade amount needed. If the other duellist Final Offer Capacity is the same as your own, two items of one and the same upgrade exist.
And, finishing using last years update progression cadence: If You give 230400000000 Barn Value (inclusive 97500000 Exchange Value), You get an 1152 Upgraded Owl Egg. Thinking about the sharing option (not the same as the running Final Offer Capacity), because if other Farmerama user do not have enough to follow You, You can not go further.

Question: You forget the ‘2018 Top 1000’ sticker (or do we remember only the old one?).I have another approach to share:
I suggest a ten different categories 2018 Harvest event.

A) Top Tribune: mainland level 002 Farmerama user (minimum 461 Experience Points); the Time Drop Item as a reward.
B) Top Pay To Win: all levels; the Individual Designed Item as a reward.
C) Top limited (the original Top): ALL ‘what is right in front’ players, the Conventional Item as a reward.
D) Open Top: openly available manner operating farm and account holder; the Deviation Item as a reward.
E) Extended Top: other cheating schemes Farmerama user; the Jail Item as a default randomly placed reward.
F) Top Robot Classic: activity based on predestinated action(s); the Premium Item as a reward.
G) Top Robot Pay To Win: activity based on predestinated action(s); the Modifiable Premium Item as a reward.
H) Top Elimination: participation criteria has to be defined; the Phantom Item as a reward.
I) Junior Top: all participants under 21; Key Item as a reward.
J) Tombola Top: all mainland level 001 Farmerama user; Skip Tutorial Bonus Code as a reward.
