High level FSQs & refinements

I could use some advise from the die hards,

I noticed once over level 100, every 5 levels or so we get a new high level FSQ based on high level crops These FSQ have high requirements but also seem to offer a decent chunk of CC and EP for the effort. Knowing refinements may cost a bunch of crops, my question is fairly simple: now high level crops have refinements as well will it be worth going for the (time) refinements right away -prior to donating to the FSQ- or not?

Do share your thoughts and/or experience on it, much appreciated!

 

If you are going for refinements, I'd say do it as soon as possible. Then you'll benefit from the refinements while growing crops for the FSQs or whatever.

 

I hear you Mir. Thanks for the input. It's just the prospect of wasting like 12k crops on it which holds me back atm.

 

High level crop refinements just became available, so I'm reluctant to use the few high level crops I can grow around all the event crops needed. As stars are most in demand for all those new runes. Plus getting a refinement is different than actually using the refinement in a slot. Once I have most of the FSQ done then I think the refinements make sense. Just my opinion, I've only refined those crops that I have a plan to use.

 

Does anyone know which refinement crops or FSQ's give the chance to get a Wooden Mallet?? They are so hard to come by, and I need 9 more to make a 2nd Pink Elephant.....after spending more than 34 million to breed up to it!! eek!

 

Hi Lily, I know of two, Iris and cauliflower. I working on Iris now.

 

Thanks for your reply Dafodily! It's a good valid point you mention here. Definately not a superb idea to do refinements just for a single FSQ. I certainly will keep it in mind before making a decission.

 

Anti-Stomping Class offers 3 wooden mallets. Marguerites have the refinement.

 

Asparagus, Cauliflower and Iris are ones that had mallets before the recent change. I am not sure which others do, besides Marguerites which -matselleste- mentioned. I know there are more, just don't remember which ones they were.

 

Thank you sooo much, all of you!! I will probably wind up trying all of them to see which gives the best, without losing all my crops. I'm so glad they increased our daily purchase of crops! Lol!


Edit: Well! Back to plan B. I'm level 95, and need to be L.100 for Marguerite. Is this the reason I could not find the Anti-Stomping Class FSQ?
And since the Mallets are in the third tier, I need more crops.....Lots more crops
Just planted Iris and Cauliflower.....this goal feels like the slow boat to China!
You all must have the patience of Job! I really admire you all for the hard goals you have achieved..

 

I'm not too impressed with our new refinements. They are way too costly for my liking. Done a few "turnips" (which has the much loved SG Love refinement) and the lowest input is 600 turnip for the smallest greenhouse. Any other crop you'd get 520-560 in return if no refinement was found - turnip : 160

So no way Jose I'm carrying on! Keep it and I'll save my energy for krokus at lvl 143!
