I have had a shot at working out what is required for this event. Please correct me if you see any miscalculations:

    Bagpipes 10,250 + 20,250 (for 54 Sporrans) = 29,500*
    Kilt Pins 545 + 1,350 (for 54 Sporrans) = 1,895*
    Sporrans 54

    * Edit: If you get the "Time to Dance" prize, the requirements are reduced - see Nala's and SahraB's posts below.

I will be very busy with family over the next couple of weeks and this event requires too much for me to be able to participate. Please do not send me any event drops. I will be doing very little farming, just planting things for long term FSQs. :p
Good luck all and have fun! ;)

  2. Hi illy1996,
I made a quick check and counted 28 sporrans until the cloud row (50 deliveries on the left side and 50 on the right).
I calculate nearer to 17.500 bagpipes, and 1.035 Kilt Pins.
I may have missed something out but, at least until the cloud row, the quantities seem to be a bit more reasonable.

I'm going to give this a shot. I know I have no chance to get the Cloud Row but I already have most of the plants and animals needed to advance most of the way. If I make it 2/3 of the way through the tasks that will be a new all-time best record for me. :)

My plan was to get the cloud row with level 48 on the left and 52 on the right. This seems to be the combination with the lowest crop requirement (17,050).

But I really want that orange wolf den at level 59 on the right.

The broke farm has no long-term strategy with this event. Makes absolutely no sense whatsoever to develop a long-term strategy with the event when the money makers cannot get their faqs straight. The farm has put the 10 seeds in the outlying area and will use no
    cac.

Conclusion from quick glance at the requirements presented here:
    1. Thousands of junks needed.
    2. No ccs here to be made from crop sales. No need to be stupid! Simply buy the daily seeds and a farm will have them all.
    3. Tree fruit requirements are a waste of time but perhaps will lead to something. If a farm does not have the tree fruit then put the trees out in the outlying areas. If one does not have the trees or tree fruit then sell a few chickens or something and buy them. (I only see the game asking for junk tree fruit other than Golden Leaves. Takes me right to illy-the-Ladybug as feed requires the golden leaf. The decision to have illy-the-ladybug and her over 57,600 friends report to the fallout suite on the farm was correct.) No need for an oooooooooold farmer nooooooooow to sell golden leaves even though it holds over 576,000 and ............ more will fall from the broke-tree soon. hahahahaha ............ those are the leaves this ooooooold farmer noooooow has been stuffing in his pocket each day as they fall.
    4. Animals! Several required but not many of each. (The one which has been under priced for sometime now is the ..... dog. Easy to see 10 more dogs are required than of others. Also there is only one which comes from wonder stables I believe .... the owl. No need for me to worry as shooger-the-Owl with over 60,000 friends keeps an eye on things here on the nonsense farm. BUT I see and I know some barns are full of um. I'll hold.) sanddollar-the-Fish is safe with over 48,000 friends. Most being sold in the market are the giveaway fish anyway. I continue to buy fish in order to increase enrollment in the school. Thank you very much Beeps for your assistance with this matter.
    5. Products! Three required can be obtained from product trees. The attempt is to raise the price a little by draining a few days production from barns. I notice that honey is not called for which has a product tree. Why? Honey prices will rise and honey will be drained from barns anyway because they fall after parrot feathers as a very logical choice with products are required. (Farm holds nearly a million of that tree product junk called for. Ahhhhhhh only a slight game balancing move. I have been waiting on the Angora to be called for as it has been over due. That rabbit! dumbunny-the-Rabbit has only about 4,200 friends. Increasing rabbit holding will most likely not happen in the near future as there has been very little room for profit. (Most of this my doing here as the farm will and has battled anyone who list rabbits on this market in size-able quantities. There is to be no peace in some areas of this market. Farm holds 10,128 angora but at the bottom of the event. Angora is a newbie product and they will loose while producing. No concern for most here I hope. The item of mild concern is the paint pallet called for. Beeps must be careful here as this balance move indicates that a further upward price movement will take place (and is taking place) with trade products. Farm holds 4,041 pallets now and will sell a few. The paint palette is a product of the turkey. The farm holds over 74,000 turkeys.
Thank you S-B for help to make my thought process easier. (On one hand hand you really help to make things easier and are wonderful ............. and .................. on the other hand you are a big big big big big big big problem :inlove::))

and if spelling and grammer errors above then just too bad cause this oooooooooooold farmer noooow is not fixing them

I am not out just yet.

    Update:
An event or so ago I mentioned something I would invest this entire farm in. Several reasons were given.
Today a new permanent quest appeared. The item is called for. This increases the total to double what quests have called for.
Price moved up quickly for the item, the feed and the feed ingredients!
Again the item is the dragonfly. (The farm holds 7,915 now)
Now a farm needs about 250 for quests and that takes about 3,000 bitter ginger for feed. Got um?
(This is only the first price movement.)
I choose to continue with production and acquisition. This is an expensive undertaking to hold! (Sale of the 7,915 at current market price on this market would yield over 1.4 billion ccs. (My personal challenge is to spot it and prepare to take the ccs but not to bother with them anymore.)

I should not post here about the dragonfly any longer. If I have information which may concern others then I will open a separate thread.

Wish all well with this event. I'll review and decide tomorrow.

Dazed and confused by the amount of items needed, and being a newbie, will lose my mind at a product taking 7 hours to begin to multiply....but do not count me out of my farm, lol just this event!;) ( I think I went to another post and halfway pulled my wig off, and screamed a bit, as I was shocked at my first event and it such a needy little thing...) GOOD LUCK EVERYONE:)

Nice to meet you missbutterbean. You say: "a newbie." Welcome to the game again. Yes, I have read all of your posts and can assist you if you desire. Others will surely help you if you allow them to. I'll meet you in your screaming thread in the Gabfest section.

First thing: Use of the correct game terms will assist you as well as others in communicating with you. The item you refer to in your post above is not a "product" but is the "event crop." A "product" normally requires an animal and feed to be produced. There are exceptions. We may discuss in your thread if you choose.

Please have fun while enjoying the game.

Thank you illy and all the rest for the great help. I have decided to play, mainly because I just love to play. I started out with both sides, because it seemed easier to advance more quickly, now that I have the "Time to Dance" and will change my strategy to play only the right side. My goal is to get the prehistoric fur tree, and then see if I can get the orange wolf den. I did not rip up my fields, will see what happens. Good Luck everyone. :inlove:

I'm not sure I'm going to get to my goal of 65% complete. I've burned through over 600 Supergrow, 400 Suzy's Supergrow and multiple buffs and I'm not even at the halfway point yet. I did get to 45 tasks complete this morning, so I have the Time to Dance upgrade and an extra giver.

If I do stick to one side instead of both, which is better for someone with a little less than a year under their belt?
