Feedback Hooked on Fishing

329 hooks. 2 lure feathers. I won't be finishing this one at all. I liked everything about this except the drop rate on those lure feathers.

 

As to why many of us do not like the Fishing game, here a video proof of several times a faulty catch. That according to BP is not possible and even with this proof it will be, most likely, my fault anyway. The devs will blame it on my connection or whatever, what would be weird because I got marlins at perfect spots.



Timings in the video where I caught lobsters, where I shouldn't have gotten them.

0:20 - choice 'Premium lure'
0:27 - landed on 'Good spot'
0:30 - caugth 'Lobsters' (Impossible catch according to the ingame chart)

0:37 - choice 'Premium lure'
0:42 - landed on 'Good spot'
0:45 - caugth 'Lobsters' (Impossible catch according to the ingame chart)

1:05 - choice 'Premium lure'
1:11 - landed on 'Good spot'
1:14 - caugth 'Lobsters' (Impossible catch according to the ingame chart)

And even with a good connection this happens, so players with a bad connection can not play this game in any good way.

So maybe this is an un-fair game, with an un-fair chance element, over the whole. Community wise.

 

I enjoyed this event it was nice for me to be able to participate without RL holding me back on having limited time for growing/harvesting event crops I was able to leave my fields intact and I did well with the items I wanted I guess I was one of the lucky players

 

all i can say is that i finished. funny thing though, with all the lure's large and small, the target getting worse i had every kind of fish there was. but at the end it all worked out, they went away and only had 7 coin's left. hmmmm funny

 

I started off thinking I was going to finish but after day one everything changed. When I was fishing it stopped stopping on the circle I wanted. I mean it just kept going and either stopped on the outside or the inside. Nowhere near where I was trying for but on day one it was stopping. I didn't have a chance. I ended with about 600 fish hooks and couldn't make any lures! I didn't get the cloud row finished. I had everything out I thought. Very disappointed.

 

I am happy the fishing results from this event were way better than the last ones. There had been times that I expected to get another fish but most of the times I got something higher so I can't complain about this, can I?
I am satisfied and happy that this event didn't require crops
Can't wait to go fishing for the third time

 

I really enjoyed this event and managed to get the latest cloud row and giver items plus lots of stuff from the Angling Store. The best prize, which made me very happy indeed, was the chocolate pancake recipe. When this was first awarded in an event I was a very new player and didn't manage to win it so I think I waited about 3 years for the recipe and I am over the moon! Fortunately I have the chocolate syrup recipe, not sure how, but it will now be a good money spinner in the market. Please, please can we have more old and new recipes to win during events in the future? On another note, I did find the aiming of the circle and the catch very random but it didn't effect the totals or prizes for me as I decided at the outset to produce only premium lures which I think was a good move. Also when the fish hooks mounted up I ripped up all my fields except the islands and put out my highest EP workshops and pens which gave a lot of lures, maximum Living Legend trophies help no end in this type of event. From chatting to my Chickadees it seems that even newbies managed to get a few prizes which is good news. Thanks for a great event.

 

Overall I Enjoy This Event More Compared it Last Fishing Event. It was very Frustrating to win so much EP, Baha EP and CC last time. This Time we can buy things that we cannot buy using CC. Such as Extra EP Givers. So it make a Change not getting any EP, Baha EP or CC. Plus I love Shopping Concept to Buy the Prizes in the Order of your Liking

I would Certainly Suggest to Have a Bigger Shops of things that could have been won in Events couple of years ago. This would certain by liked by Newbies who have Missed out really nice things. Mind you it would have been nicer to have Chocolate Syrup recipe too !!

 

I love events based on collecting drops only This one was an improvement on the previous fishing event. I like the coins and event shop so much more than the random gifts. I also like the system with the sones and that you shouldn't get the lower fish if you hit the perfect spot. It worked well for me, I once caught lobsters in the good spot with a premium lure, but all the other times I got fish according to the table. I understand the frustration of those that experienced this more often though

It was nice that you offered the first fishing cloud row with items for those that were unlucky last time. I like that an old recipe was offered again, I hope we'll see that more often

The fishing was fun, but since that was the main part of this event there could have been more of it. Simply cutting requirements for lures in half and doubling the price in the shop would have meant less waiting and fewer players being bored (but then don't put it right after Renzo's fair ).

All in all I really enjoyed this event

I just wanted to say I am so pumped that you presented a challenge where I could shop for the piece I was missing from the old challenge. I have wanted this to happen for so long. If a player has finished something they can move forward. If they haven't they can finish up what they started.

Please can you do this for all the cloud rows and challenges. It was great.

Unfortunately because of a family crisis I couldn't play much too see all the game had to offer. Really thrilled I was able to get the one piece I needed from the old challenge.

 

By the end I was really enjoying the version of fishing. At first I was unhappy at the drop rate and it took while to get the right balance of stables and crops to fix that. Finally I hit a good mix and was able to mill enough lures.

Really happy that I was able to get the missing giver for CR1 and then getCR2 with givers. Also scored all of the misc rewards that were of interest.

I was also really excited to see a recipe as a prize and then soo disappointed to fid that it was of no use without the choc syrop recipe. I mean really, what were you thinking!!!

Please give us the recipe or syrop in the next event.

 

I liked this version of the event much better than the last one. I made no alterations to my farm and managed to get the complete new CR, the last giver I didn't have for the old CR plus an extra giver plus almost all the extra gifts. I think it's better we can choose what we want. I don't like winning a CR without the guarantee of getting items needed for it. Thanks for the improvements BP Team!!

 

Remembering how aggravating and, quite frankly, maddening the last fishing event was to me , I was quite skeptical going into this one, promises of a revamp aside. I can honestly say, tho, that I did enjoy this event a great deal more than the original. Letting us be able to purchase the prizes we wanted was 100% better than leaving it to chance that we'd get the cloud row items. I think the game mechanism worked a bit better this time, too. Tho there were still bad results for good catches, it didn't seem near as often as last time, which made it worthwhile to mill the deluxe lures. One thing I disliked, tho, was when players reported that the mechanism wasn't working correctly in that fish were being awarded that were not supposed to be in that catch level, the devs response seemed to me an awful lot like saying "shut up and go away and be grateful for what we've done" (not the mods, they were just the messengers). It may not have been the intent, but that's how it came across to me.

I also liked that it really didn't take much time to be able to accumulate a nice little bankroll of coins for the shop, and I absolutely LVED the inclusion of an old recipe, tho like everyone else I really, really hope the syrup recipe comes available. Those are the kind of prizes that, to me at least, are very special, because they don't happen all the time. All in all I say, kudos to the devs for listening to our gripes and complaints from the last fishing event (some of us more and louder than others) and striving to improve upon this event. Thank you.

 

I have no complaints about the event and was happy getting a new cloud row, some extra 1x2 deco items for the cloud rows and other treats in the Angling Shop. I didnt notice much differece between this game and the last fishing one. You need to check how many of each drop item you are getting and then quickly adjust your farm as necessary. You do have to think and plan a bit! I also put out all my workshops and better stalls to get enough lure feathers for 3 fish, whatever they were, for each catch. Thanks for a good event, a new cloud row and a chance to stock up my barn.. p.s. A recipe to win made a good change, more please!
