BAHAMARAMA ONLY, Mods can you please advise does this mean Main field, or Main field & Rainforest ? It doesnt specify, I would like to know before I tear up my farm if I dont have to.

I know if doesnt specify Magical Glade on the mainland so I will plant my trees and pens there and leave one of the other fields open for the crops.

 

Staying well clear of emptying my barn and no way am I falling for their new tactic of wasting my BB's on buying products just to feed their money making greed. Sorry to those who are going to do this event my good wishes to you in completing and achieving your goals but thats my own personal view of this.

Aluntino - I think I understand what you're saying. I'm just not sure that it plays out that way in game...I seem to have awful drop rates from trees and I use a lot of XXLs...whenever possible, as a matter of fact.

Anyway, this quilt event seems to be as clear as mud. So many questions... I'll go as far as I can, but I'm not spending real money on it. And it's QUILTING! You'd think "sewinglady" would be thrilled about an event like that, wouldn't you?

 

Wow, too much all at once and kind of confusing.... are they linking the two events? It takes some of the fun out when too much is going on at once. We do have lives outside of this game.... I do thank everyone for their input and starting this link so we can at least share our thoughts and ideas.

 

It absolutely plays that way for any kind of thing, without any doubt. You might be meaning that crops in 1x1s do better than trees and I'd agree with that. But this event requires drops specifically coming from trees.

Over 24 hs, a 20hs base tree can be harvested only once, Over 5 days, 6 times, if harvested on the dot. Over those same 5 days, XXLs of the same kind can be harvested 10 times, yielding a possibly 67% higher chance of getting drops. It's wrong to judge XXL trees by the amount of drops you get on a single harvest, when they may seem to yield less drops. On a longer period they give more drops, event's or not, always.

I've proved this over and over again over years of playing. It never fails.

also I changed my game plan I planted trees in my glade and rain forest and I'm planting crops in baha main field and my main field and meadow

Did calculations - I love Cloud Rows! Can pull the Home Sweet Home off for a cloud row but should I? The price is very high! - This one is tough! Crates are sweet! Decisions ... Decisions.... RL is also a factor....

 

If you are not going for top 3000 you can skip level 3 of house 2 and 3 and save 4000 slipper flowers and 1000000 of breeding animals.

 

Marlymar! Thank you for pursuing this with the mods. So much easier when we can donate baha fruits because they have much higher values.

I think I may do as Niknar has suggested and just go for the cloud row and necessary givers.

 

Actually everyone can skip those 3rd steps and still get the CR and givers. You don't have to do the Home Sweet Home event AT ALL to enter the Top 3000 competition ("The Top 3000 layer can be independently played right from the start!").

But... if you are entering the Top 3000 then those 10 quilts are worth 2,500,000 EV to donate to the competition (for the effort and price of growing 4000 more event crops and only donating 1,000,000 EV in breeding animals to the 3rd steps). That's an easily earned extra 1,500,000 EV to throw into the bottomless Top 3000 pit, lol.

 

If my neighbours request anything else just let me know, but I will be gifting metal discs. As last time they were the most sort after item.

Also may grow event item just to get powerfeed from one of houses and donate to trophy quest, but if i recall you cant donate if its grown on baha so thats that plan out of window already

Niknar - Thanks for pointing out the steps not needed for cloud row. Everyone else for other tips. I need to tear up my fields. Have trees and stables/workshops on the two fields needed to plant event crops. I am at least fishing.

 

I'm sticking to fishing. a million worth of breeding animals after I blew some serious resources on the neon stables, I'm hoarded the skips and used regular stock animals now they want them back? I say nope.
Any top anything I've ever done couldn't put a dent in the list; that takes cash so I've learned to resist the 'glory' and keep it in the barn. I've built up 13k+ of maple but thats for the menagerie etc.
I'm fishing this time, no quilts.
I'm going to put out some workshops for a couple of days, some 20 hour stables, the higher trees and rosehip and see how it bounces.

 

trishap I hope you feel better soon! First harvest brought me 27 hooks,71 lure feathers,
and 69 metal discs! Hence the need for three choices in event gifts, each farm will have different needs! Happy Farming and Good Luck to all!

As I had the farm set two days ago and forgotten the peculiarities of this fishing event, I left lots of stables and factories... The problem is I like to use only deluxe baits... Well, that's me....

Initial harvest: 160 hooks and only 45 discs!

As my husband always says, patience is a virtue... I'm going to fill two fields with trees and see what comes from it...

Just as I thought you cant donate this event crop to trophies so will grow enough for powerfeed and giver.

anyone else noticed this so called top 3000 and what the person at top has donated, personally I smell a rat. I could be wrong with you maths guys out there working out what has been given to donate that much

ETA: I'm doing the same as you phoenix -- thanks for pointing it out. Growing enough event crops just for the PF and giver.

 

Just clarifying, if I'm not going to top 3000, then the only parts of the Home Sweet Home I should bother is the cloudrow? That would be 15250 event crops and not require the 1m breeding animals which is huge...

 

I went the route of putting out trees for my initial harvest and got 211 discs Now I just have to get some hooks! I see the other event is running longer than the fishing event so it shouldn't be a problem to plant long crops for those hooks Good luck everyone!!
