Hooked on Ice Fishing and Home Sweet Home strategy

I only donated carnations and bitter ginger for 10 farm coins. Am not going for CR as I don't care for the crates, so I'm finished with the home event now. Going to fish for the trees and pens first, only 60 star coins needed, then try for some other smaller prizes. No stress.

 

I will go for the cloud row, but I'm not bothering with global donations. No chance in Hades that I'll get either farm into the 3000, so why waste. Nope Nope Nope. Been down this road before and I just don't have the deep pockets required to get on the global pecking list.

 

I'm with Lauralei, I will only do the steps necessary to get the cloud row. On every house but the fourth house quilts is the last step. I don't need quilts for the event. So saving my breedings and other stuff. Need to plant trees for discs, got about 51 (including gifts) but 133 hooks.

 

I kind of Disappointed with the Prizes from Home Sweet Home Top 3000 Event.

Top 2001 to 3000 Prize (Straw House - 5% Extra Chance on Tools for 30 Mins), I am one of those who got a Cloud Row that already has this Buff

Top 1001 to 2000 Prize (Wooden House - 50% More on Moonlight Mania for 1 Hour), Also got a Cloud Row for this Buff too.

Top 1 to 1000 Prize (Brick House - 100% more EP for 1 Hour), In All Honestly is it really worn cleaning out your whole farm for a chance to win this prize. Then yet you could narrow miss out of Top 1000. To remain in Top 1000 you would need at least 400 to 500 Million EV of Barn Stock at Least to have slim chance of hope of getting it

In terms there is no other rewards of Top 3000 apart from these Three Prizes. Which is Big game changer compared to previous Top 3000 such as Perfect Picture Event 2016.

I think i just go for Both Cloud Row and the required givers from Hooked on Ice Fishing/Home Sweet Home. Every

The only two difference is when doing large chuck of donations is excess of 300K plus to obtain either a Gold or Silver Crate. It is not going to be easy to win an Quilt from Gold Crate or gain 1 each of Pink,Blue and Floral Patch, which need 1 of each to mill an Quilt that has value of 250,000 EV towards Top 3000

The Gold Crate as more meaningful prizes. But i always think with lots of common sense. Most of these prizes can be obtain from 1 or two party spins. Alternative it worth to work on Farm Quests to win Party Spins or use Farm Coins from Hooked on Ice Fishing.

Everything in the markets is much higher Value as it was compared to last year. Entering into Top 3000 is not that difficult is it Trying to stay within Top 3000 as the event comes to a close. Many farmers do a massive surge of donations of barn stocks, these kind of farms have been gearing up for this kind of event all year, or even got loads of cash to spend buying many many Quilts !!!

I have a hunch that there are less competitors this year due to Bigpoint is under new management. Plus massive inflation of markets CC pricing which makes it for more expensive to partake into Top 3000 compared to last year

Yikes! Just looked at the current rankings of donations for the Top spots. Scary the barn burning for the not so great givers. My goal is cloud rows only... And that is if I can gain enough quilts from fishing.

RL has impacted my moving fields around. So far Day one I have 54 Fish hooks, 36 Lures and 51 Metal Disks. Not too shabby for not being able to move stuff around yet.

You only need the Quilts if you are doing Top 3000.

WOW Cassie, I'm impressed! I've made two deluxe lures thus far.

 

Just logged in, and guess what, missed the start on TWO events. Oh well, back to business. Grow , throw, grow throw. I'm all about CRs here. For me that's doing and finishing an event. Good thing I had sugar canes on my bahama fields.....

 

I purchased the cloudrow, 24 hrs coupoun, Powerfeeds & each of the 3 quills. Now have 162 coins left.

Keep looking on the moving circle. At a particular time, it glows & click at that point of time, you get that Marlin (Blue) Fish or if you miss by fraction of seconds the other 2 fishes. In this way I caught Marlin at least thrice & the rest were octopus & once blow fish.

Five golden crates gave me 23 powerfeeds, 4 farm coins, 3 girafee stables & Suzy's Super grow (quantity I forgot).

 

Do we get to keep the crates?

my flwrsndnc farm is on there too so far thank you sanddollar I wasn't even going to do it but I thought id see what I could do good luck to everybody on the list and others trying for it I don't know how long ill be on there but now that I am I'm going to try and at least stay on there

 

Just getting home and haven't had a chance yet to look for all the familiar names in the list but wanted to wish you all Good luck! I'm watching the list a little longer before I make a decision.

 

Isn't that interesting. I am currently leading for our EN team with donations of over 46 million but other than Decree and Marlymar I cannot see any of the others mentioned even when I filter and they obviously cannot see me listed either.

Marlymar shows up on my EN list but Decree only shows up in a search for my Neighbours but not on my EN list.

This is making me very unhappy :-(

I made some mistakes yesterday...... cleared the glade, only to later realize we can't plant Slipper flower on it. Now I've filled it 100% with animals and production pens. I'm hoping to make some cc's from the Top 1000 frenzy!!! I've also been enjoying fishing...but my mouse/hand coordination isn't what it should be.

 

thank you Brookeham I'm having the same problem with mouse hand coordination lol I can only hope that I can stay on this list with both of my farms ive never done any of these top anything events so I thought id just give it a go this time just to see what I could do so I'm going to need a lot of luck I still have a few things up my sleeve so hopefully they will help but that's a long time to hold on the 23rd that's still 7 more days ill hold on as long as I can though
