I am so sorry to see, that players are not playing the event at all or want to give up, before it even hit the 24h mark. I don't like the cheat and steal idea at all, but that's just a bad idea, somebody had as a story around an event.
For all who struggle with the drops (and these may be mostly the newbies):
at my early days here in the game I grew as many flowers as I needed in relation to the drop (here every drop needs 19 flowers, so 40 drops need 750 flowers) and kept enough to resow. This way I was not too stressed out, but could make use of the drops I got anyway.
This way I could participate, get experience with the events and their strategy and got at least a few prices.
The last events are actually player friendly, as you are getting prices with every single step.
Conversion of the drops at the end was never my goal.

So please don't give up before the event even has hit the 24h mark.

Level 96 , so not a newbie . But the start this morning garnered 45-50 gems from long term crops . Just for the fun of it , I`m trying to avoid incurring any negatives possible . So I have no idea what my total drop count is atm . So far I`m only at -200 and with the slight of hand trick posted above I hope to not break -500 . Just a personal achievement I want to see if I can control . Happy Farming , everyone .

this is not from me but another farmer davidb said click on the weasel bottom of screen it will take you to inventory without moving counter, it works for now. i want to see what happens when you burn out your water and manure where will that take you??

 

I found refilling water from farm when planting and not through tower or through one of the artisan trades didn't add to counter, manure check by going to market and hit make offer button and you can see your total, only one I have no idea about is the total of drop items and know at some stage I will have to access mill to produce event items to donate
I did set my mill to produce for 5 days so will worry about that at that time which should give me plenty of time

 

I`m guessing Post #85 by oldman49 is directed to me . If so , I rarely use manure , just for starter plants and they are done . The water is no issue , as I have unlimited .

 

I am up to -2200 diamonds hahaha and I'm not going to let that or anything bother me I'm just going to keep going at my own pace

 

Buy water through the red basket' supplies menu (the one with the harvester on it) and the greedy weasel does not notice

 

Is it better for drops to plant a long term crop or a higher ep? Basically what's better to plant, a longer crop or a shorter crop with higher ep. Like the event crop has higher ep than the crops I could manage for overnight on my main farms. But the bahamarama crops are higher ep. So which is better for drops?

 

I think everyone's in agreement that the theme of the event is a little off. However, I want to say how amusing it is having read all the different strategies for players to avoid gaining negative gems. In this little way, the event is more entertaining and fun.

 

Well my drops from the event crop are extremely low. I did good with the carnations starting out. I think I had 120. I just harvested all five fields of event crops and I probably got around 30... Great.

 

ok first long grow of the day, spelt 22 on the back field stinko. honey dew back of island15 realy stinko. i think i,m going to use all 5 fields and start banging out the crop and let the chip's fall, sounds good on paper will see.250 drops so far

 

I think Maure market is in a mess. It shows 69 offers but when I go in, there are no offers. But just blank pages.

You have to combine both, greenchelonia.

• This is how I plan for drops before the event starts.

1. Place your longest growing crop or tree or pens that gives you the highest EP. For instance every tree except a few takes 20 hours to grow. But they give different EPs. For instance lemon tree takes 20 hrs to grow but gives only 80 EP. Chaste tree / Hawthron tree / salt cedar tree takes 20 hrs to grow and gives 160 EPs in return. So they give better drops than lemon trees. Most of the wonder trees give you 120 EPs and above and take 20 hrs to grow. So placing them will give you good drops. XXL trees will give you less drop than ordinary trees. Because XXL Tree take half the time of base trees to grow. Trees will be good option if you place them before event starts. But not during the event because of the time factor of 20hrs. During the event you cannot afford to be inactive so long.

2. Place your pens/workshops that takes long time to produce and that gives you highest EP. Before feeding them you can use the crafting products that reduce their production time and also the cloud rows that reduce animal or workshops production time. Activate these and then feed the stables or workshops. Usually I place saw mill, bio-glue lab, cookware forge, ostrich egg farm, koi pond rodeo ranch, truffle farm, paint factory, shearing shed, disguise shop and textile mill. In this way I increase my products stock and also get good drops. After these I go for animal pens. I go for neon and pink pens which take more than 24 hours to grow and also there are certain orange pens that take more than 24 rs to grow. I place them too.

3. You can also have carnations or roses in comfort fields for more drops. But they take lots of time to grow. You can also place them in regular fields.

4. I first place workshops, pens, jumbo tree and jumbo pens (basic pens without orange or yellow upgrades). The fill out the the outer 1x1 edge with 20 hrs trees that give 160 EPs, 145 EPs, 135 eps and finally 120 EPs.​

• During the event if the drop required is high I do overnight refined carnation or rose crop with water and manure. Refined carnation takes 11.30 hrs or so to grow. Refined roses take even less time.

• If you have lots of super grows and need lots of drops at the end of the event and there is only one day or few hours to go, you can do the following to get drops.

1. If there is only few hours, I go for roses. Roses take less time to mature than the carnation. So you decide based on your time factor. I do not have the flower cloud row. So I cannot get instant roses.

1. First activate the refinement for roses.
2. Then activate white innocence and fruit cake. (They increase the effect of super grow (10+5 = 15%)
3. If you have cloud row for flowers activate them too. They will give you instant growth of roses. If you don't have them, don't worry. You can do without them too.
4. You can use ordinary fields or comfort fields.

Ordinary fields of roses without cloud row takes around 10 mins to mature and comfort field of roses takes around 40 mins to mature. These are without comfort field. That is I use

Activate refinements of roses + 2x2 field of roses + White innocence + fruit cake + super grow + water + manure = 10 mins

or​

Activate refinements of roses + comfort fields of roses + White innocence + fruit cake + super grow + water + manure = 32 to 40 mins.

2. If I have time, say one day or more than half a day, I go for carnation. Same formula as above. But it takes time to grow. In comfort fields around 1 1/2 hrs to 2 hours.

3. Even if you don't have refinements you can try these out. But it takes a little more time to grow.

I have given approximate time only because I am bad at remembering numbers and statistics. So you can place one ordinary field and one comfort field and test it yourself and see the time factor. Then you can plan accordingly.

 

Love the memories...has anyone used the save and restore for their farm? I saved on the magical glade...but the only thing that disappeared were my pets. when I refreshed my pets came back....nothing else disappeared into storage...I am leary as is and wondering what I am doing wrong...thanks ahead for the help

 

12ss12, my manure in the market place is the same. I experienced something similar with craft items a while ago and was advised to do a cache clearing and flash cache clearing to solve the problem. Last time it worked, this time it didn't. First 5 pages on my market for manure is blank, page 6 has 3 and page 8 has 6 items. Don't know if this is part of the April's Fool joke, and when I experienced something similar it was a 'test run' of sorts?? Maybe?...

The problem here is that the 'cheap' manure is now inaccessible and only those of 800cc and up can be bought . I'm skipping on manure at the moment...

 

I still see no offers in my market. All the pages are blank. I saw 3 offers now. But some one snatched it. I want to sell. So I put 100 manures for sale. I think the problem in my market is vice versa. I cannot see high priced manure that were placed during last event for sale. I can see only low-priced manures.

 

On my Farm Manure is being Fooled and Messed with too. I think it is part of April Fool Event. Or it might be related to Negative Jewel Thief Weasel

My Initial drops was only 126 Jewels just got over 200 so far. To be honest the Drop Rate of Jewels is much lower than i expected considering we can grow Trap Flowers in all 5 Fields....Is this Part of Aprils Fool perhaps after 1st April will we get improved Drops...

On Added Note, even farmers who are not doing this event will get negative weasel feature on Main Farm regardless. As this Event is very misleading to some but it is the Most Trickster Event i have ever played in my 7 years of Farmerama. It is very strange i have tamed myself to adapt get use it and Enjoy this Event. Just Ride it out no how much you dislike it or not doing this event

If the Drops is not improved with Trap Flowers I will have to use my Refined Crops to make up for shortfall of Drops or use my longest Crops of Rose Buds but Manure will be very costly

 

I have 398 drops so far. I had 1 and 1/2 field of carnation overnight and now I have a field full of parrots that gave me a decent drops. I will let you know how many drops I got from parrots next harvest.
