how do I use my ghost traps?

I've purchased three ghost traps but how do I use them? I've got to two rooms that need a trap to unlock them but I can't get the room to unlock even though I have more than enough traps. can you help?

 

Pumpkin, in the FAQ it shows with arrows what rooms have to be cleared or done before you can use a ghost trap. Hope this helps you

It sounds like you have not unlocked yet a connected room to the haunted one, so you do not have an open door leading into that one, to allow you to clear it using the ghost traps.

Please check below an example - the stars mark the opened rooms, the green 'o's mark the only rooms that can be unlocked now, and the red 'x' signs mark the rooms that cannot be accessed right now, because no cleared room leads into them through a door. I hope this helps!
