    How the Grouch Made Merry

How to play the dice event.
    How the Grouch Made Merry

The event consists of 3 parts.

    1. Snake eyes - Red Door - 1st door - Dice mini Game - 2 Cup O’ Festive Dice is needed to play 1 mini game - star coins are awarded and use the star coin to redeem rewards from the shop

Cup O' Festive Dice is rewarded in the Paths to Santa Rocks 1 and 2.

Paths to santa Rock# 2 - Finish the first part by depositing items from our barns. While doing so some gives 2 cup o' festive dice. It can be harvested every 24 hrs.
    2. Paths to Santa Rock #1 - Blue door - last door - But this has to be completed first to get unlock more event crops. First choose one of the event plant and complete the part and then proced to the next 2 parts in this path. Each requires one other event crops. Each path gives one key. Use it to unlock more parts in Paths to Snata Rock #2. Drops are got from MM field, Main field and Baha field. Each of the 3 event crops can be grown only in their particular fields.

You have to mill the event plants. Choose one of the 3 blinking icons so that you get the required item to mill an event crop. After choosing you cannot change the crop. Only after finishing that crop you can go to the next event crop. So think and click.

    3. Paths to Santa Rock #2 - Pink Door - middle door- First part requires barn items to finish. Do it to so that you can redeem cup o' dice every 2 hours. To unlock the other parts, we require keys got from Path to santa Rock#1 and the special event crop, Festive wreathsteria that can be grown in Main Field and Moonlight field.

Well done, One-Two, for coming to the rescue! ;)

I'm in as far as I can go on all three farms. I like the dice game but I am not holding out much hope for getting anywhere near the end of that part on any of the farms! Just going to enjoy myself. xD

    Good luck all! :)

Thanks for starting the strategy thread, 12ss12!

I'm in on...wait for it...5 farms. My two main farms, the teenager farm and two of the baby, er, toddler farms (they grow up so fast!).

I hold out no hope of finishing the event on the baby farms, they are just in it for whatever they can glean.

Things I know: as soon as you can, start in on the middle door - you can go as far as the key thresholds NOW. And one of the items is a dice giver - once every 24 hours.

The big question you must decide is whether to start with the main fields, tropical fields or MM field. I suggest either the main or the tropical, save the MM field for later and grow much needed MM crops for the first day or so.

PS: remember to load up your mill with something that takes forever and put whatever's left of your wreath parts in behind it. Then remember to check it once or twice a day to change the amount to garner as many of the extra 5 for having run out as you can. (hope that made sense)

My game plan is - Moonlight first, because I have 5 loads left "Jack O Gift" and same time I do MM-field part, I can get a lot of other "barn-crops" 2Baha+3Main fields and Ball Ornaments same time too. But this is only my strategy and best for me...! :)

I noticed the activity late and prepared some of my plots this morning. Nuubi are using the same tactic. Good luck.

I change... when my memory says "there is some limit time when You got more of these "candles"..." and last time I get 100%+100%+200% and make very quick those 5000++ MM-field crops and have to wait overnight to get candles, so I chance my tactic and now have about 7500 Farm-event-crops :) (edit: and need now about 4000 and my chestnut-CR ends 19minutes so water+manure to event crops overnight this time)

Geez thats huge. I've just done the first 1000 donation (island). Lose a lot of time sleeping during the beginning of events, but hey, sleep is technically more important, right? No wheel bonuses here unfortunatley.

Only doing 1 farm here, I have no idea how you are all managing multis at the busiest time of the year. My hat is off to you all.

Thanks One Two for the numbers.

Wish me luck on a personal level guys, it's high 30's (celcius) here at the moment, Christmas lunch is being held here and my under 4 yrs fridge is suddenly not working properly :eek:. Fingers crossed I can find a service person to come out on Friday.

    DONE 1st part - Farm - get only 5 FB to Island... bug ! but Jack O gift -> 5x12 (Bigslots + jack + SSG) = 60 -> 60x 12 = 720, then small plots...

I've saved party wheel spins so splurged today. Managed to at least get a +1 on 4 out of 5 farms. I think we're about to get the last "condo" giver this weekend as the cloud row showed up. The toddler farms need so many of the givers. ugh. They may never get the CR. One of them has missed out on the last one as it needed the giver that fell off the last time around.

You should stash fir branches in long mill queue. Game gives you five new ones in every five hours, while you have "none" in your storage.

It's awarded in Part 2 of the event, step 18. I couldn't find it at first either :p

Thanks IpsiDei for the info - wondered why I got more event crops yesterday! xD

First weekend event FAQs out - bad news, crops and drops only from the Magical Glade for first two quests!

I hoard jack o' gifts. Use them as a last resort to extend their life span as much as possible. They can mean the difference between finishing an event or not.

PS: I am now very glad I started all the farms with the mainland crops. Should be done with them and onto another crop by the time the weekend quest starts tomorrow.

Thing is, I moved all the animal pens over to the magical glade. So I'll need to move them back to the green meadow once I'm done growing the farm wreaths/candles.

What an ugly mess. I figure that when this is all said and done, I'll have to very carefully take stock of what's out on my farms and what isn't. Maybe even wipe the slate clean and start over fresh?

If all goes RIGHT - no terrible surprises - I finnish this "all" in play-number-one, early in the morning/midday 23.12.2022 Finnish time (CET+1).

Why - > Get +200% Diamond-place from buff-crate and Gold-place "crops+1/24h" both -> using JackOGift, make moves from Baha to MW and there is only 5000++ crops needed... starting 10x23 with bonuses ->230 crops then small plots -> almost 1/2 done and OurTime is about 08.00AM... no need to worry 24.12. (Finnish "head-day-of-Christmas not 25.12.")

How do you do this? I have had a couple of things that I would like to save till I need them but if I remove them, I lose the charges. :(

I am on my last harvest for the Farm Wreathsteria and have 20 at the back of the mill queue ready to change to the next crop (that's if I don't have a senior moment and choose the wrong plant!). I want to finish early so I can carry on with the FSQs I am working on. As I have to clear my Magical Glade of critters, I will carry on in between the weekend quests to speed up those never ending crops required! :music:

    Merry Christmas everybody! :inlove:
