And for my area - rain for nearly a week, with low area flooding - temps in the 80's.:wuerg:

So much rain here in England even major cities are flooding. Lots of people have been flooded out for the third time since Christmas and more rain to come. I thought our roof would get blown off last night - 80mph winds and so noisy. I am moving into the spare room tonight! Not so much rain here in Cornwall fortunately.

    It's snowing:inlove:
2 days before it was 15°C(59°F) so it was warm for winter and sunny. Yesterday it started getting cold but not any weather forecast predicted snow or even rain. Today I woke up and and it was snowing! But the snow melts when it gets to the ground so it's not white, because it is windy.

Farmerumf I think I saw about the floods in England in the news:( Stay safe.
    Anie where are you from?

I live in Pennsylvania in the North east of USA. This winter has been exceptionally mild. Didn't really have any snow really to speak of until beginning of last week. Today snow started at noon and is expected to keep going until Tuesday at noon (but we know how weather forecasts change;);)) Right now it is a total "white out" and my understanding is anywhere from 10"-2 feet is possible:cry: Thank goodness I went grocery shopping a couple of days ago. Will be baking, gaming, and working on puzzles.

2 Days in a row it snowed! But very little:( Can anyone explain this to me, in Volos and in Skopelos(places near Skiathos) everything is white! And students didn't have school today. So why didn't we get so much snow?
Here is the map to understand how close we are to these places.

These days many places in Greece had snow.

Here in a town nearby, it was 45C (113F) today and now it's 7pm here where I live and it's 30C (86F) inside.

The lil bit of snow we had melted here, no time to really enjoy it, no snow angels for sure. The weather report does say more is on the way so maybe there is still hope for those snow angels.

Arielh, the snow is so beautiful :)

Wolf, I hope you got to make those snow angels. :inlove: We actually had frost on the ground here this morning o_O I had to cover all my Hibiscus as they had blooms on them. I have a heater running and had to find a sweater. :p Hubby is traveling as usual (in Michigan today) I told him he had to build me a snowman. xD

Here in the Windy City, the winter has been exceptionally mild and dry. It's nearing the end of January and I haven't had enough snow to shovel - yipee! The past two weeks it's gotten cold with actual temp to 0 F and wind chills to -30 F. It's cold, but I don't consider it the worst temperature. Years back, when I lived in Ohio, the actual temp was -33 F. Now THAT's cold - and I had to go to work.
Hope our lovely winter continues. The heating bills have been wonderful.

Weird is the only way to describe it. Yesterday was bitterly cold for us (-6C) and frosty and yet 2 minutes down the road - snow. Go figure!

NSW Australia and it was 36C here today. That's around 95F I think. My roses wilted :( Our pink nose horse ("Dobby") has to have sunscreen on his nose and we're giving the animals frozen watermelon treats because they are sweating in the shade. Today I went to town and bought our German Shepherd a plastic sandpit to use as a pool and she's very happy to just lie in it. Storms and rough surf predicted for tomorrow, the state north of me (Queensland) is 86% in drought and south of us have bushfires and floods. I can't even imagine what it must be like to have Snow! Funny world isn't it xD

And in Northwest Florida it was 29 degrees with frost yesterday morning and 53 degrees this morning with rain! :p

JJenks - Hope the hibiscus are ok; had to put a warming light on my lemon tree!

Blessings to everyone on good weather for the weekend!:D

Waking up while it's snowing:inlove: Amazing feeling and most amazing was the walk I went. I had forgot to walk in the snow. It wasn't fully iced so it was really slippery:wuerg: but seeing the white landscape was truly beautiful.:inlove: It snows all morning I hope it won't stop anytime soon.

Well we just got 24 inches(yes 2 feet) of snow here in my town in Maryland from 36hrs of snowing blizzard conditions, we were lucky other cities got up to 30+inches in the MD/VA/DC area. Everything in area has been shut down. We will been to try to dig out tomorrow since the snow has stop.
