Here on Long Island, NY, we just got 2 feet of snow! Time to go out and shovel.

Due to the high temp (48F) the snow is melting, not white and fluffy anymore, next week their predicting warmer temps and then it'll be gone. Hopefully more snow will come for those that want it. I still have to get a snow angel in at some point this winter.

Frost this morning and 60 degrees now - gotta love winter in North Florida!:)

Wolf - Hope you get your snow angel. I did one the last time it snowed here, in 1987. I want to do another!

Had a very stimulating evening - cold and warm front battling it out over the Southeast.o_O Tornadoes hit cities to the south, west and north of mine, with closest hit about 35 miles away. Some damage and power outages, but only 3 deaths reported so far (hope no more). Just tree limbs down and minor flooding in my area, but I feel for those hit hard.

Was thinking of you this morning Willow. Watching the news, they were showing scary damage from your area. Glad you are okay. :)The same storm is swinging across the state, we have rain and strong winds now with tornado watches for some western counties. We should be alright but I do feel for those that have heavy loses.

We're having a blizzard -.- 35-45 MPH winds, 1/4 mile visibility, 8-10 inches of snow expected by morning. This started 10 hours ago and the roads are a mess and even my bus was slipping and sliding o_O

I too am very fortunate this morning. My house only had less than 2" snow yesterday and no trees or power lines blown down in the wind. Just a few miles away they had 6" - more the further out you went (13 - 14" in some areas). Our temps are scheduled to be in the 50s this weekend. Yipee.

Hi everyone! It's been time since we last posted here.
Well yesterday the weather was wonderful and I took advantage of it. I went swimming in the sea!:inlove: It was a little bit cold but I loved it:)
Today it's been raining all day...

8)Here in the USA (other places, too, of course) we are reminded to set our clocks AHEAD an hour (Spring forward/Fall back).......
so I'm passing the information on. Just in case there are others like me who usually f-o-r-g-e-t.......!!:music:;)

Spring has finally arrived here - so far. Green things are poking out of the ground. My Daffodils and Iris broke ground last week.
Annnnd...we've had some really nice sunny days - with one or two in the 70's - and some in the high 50's - 60's. Which is what it will be all this coming week, with showers also all week starting tomorrow night or so.

The last few days have been nice and sunny enough to put out 1/2 Gallon glass jugs of water on the dining table on my deck, to purify in the sunshine. After a full day in the sun, I store them in the refrigerator to get icy-cold.....soooo refreshing!!

And so it goes here, in the Northeastern USA (Massachusetts)......:music::):)

Oh the sounds of a winter I was use to, one never said it was winter till the generators roared to life and the army sent out the yellow machinery<big dump trucks and front loaders> to clear the city streets. Getting the front door clear as we never used it but the red cross always use the front to see if you a alive.
Globe warming... it has an upside.

Spring has sprung, my roses are starting to wake up and my bleeding heart is sprouting, but weather here can't seem to make up its mind whether that's true or not. Most of January and all of February were unseasonably warm, in the 50s a lot of the time. Never really got cold all winter, in fact, poor ice conditions on lakes and ponds, by the time it got thick enough to be safe, temps rose. Got only 1 ice fishing trip in before lakes melted:cry:. Thursday and Friday it decided it was going to pretend it was still winter, lows of about 14-18 F, even a slight dusting of snow. Today it was almost 70, took advantage to wash the boys, much to their chagrin:wuerg:. Lucky for them I hooked the hose to my washer's hot water spigot so they could have a warm wash, they don't fight as much then, and I don't get as wetxD. Tuesday night it's supposed to snow.o_O Not really all that atypical for here, really, except the warm temps February. Up and down is normal, for several years running we had a major blizzard the last weekend of April, I'm talking feet of snow, not inches.

I remember 5 winters ago, it started snowing in November, and didn't quit until March. Literally. We had snow and/or sub-zero temps all winter long, roads were horrendous, I didn't go do my once monthly grocery/supply shopping trip for almost 3 months.

    8) Well, so much for Spring here in the Northeast USA!!o_O It has finally gotten light enough to see what happened last night...it has SNOWED!! All over our Spring buds and flowers! Only a few inches - enough to cover things, and to dust the trees a beautiful soft white!:)
We hardly had any Winter this year, so I guess it's alright....it will melt off fairly quickly.

And, how are things in your neck of the woods??!!:music::D

It has been dry and mainly sunny here in England all week, but cold. :wuerg:

However, next weekend is forecast to be windy with rain just in time for the Easter bank holiday which is typical..:cry:
Anyway, all the daffodils are out which brightens the heart...

Well here on the coast of Maine we are getting 3-6 inches of snow! I guess Mother Nature is playing tricks with us as it was a mild and very little snow this winter! Now that Spring has come so has the snow!xD Well I guess one more time to shovel the stairs and walkway then I am putting my shovel away!! Time for Easter flowers and Spring!!:inlove: Happy Spring to all the farmers out there! :)
@farmlily3 I lived most of my life 6 miles north of Boston a real city girl! lol;)

It has cooled down today, it's only a high in the 70'sF. I live in the high desert of southern California, on the way to Vegas, whether you take the 15 or the 5 to 58 to 15. :p Next couple of days are expected highs in the high 60'sF. Day before yesterday it was 92F. It's getting hot already. xD

So sorry for those getting hit with more snow!o_O

We have had a roller coaster in weather here in Northwest Florida. One week it's 78 to 80 during the day and around 65 at night, the next it's 60's during the day and 40 at night! Currently it's 71 degrees with rain in the forecast.
But the daffodils are blooming and I'm happy! Spring is here!:D
