Today we had a little rain and it's cloudy. I hope tomorrow it won't rain because we will have a parade for one of Greece's national holidays. 25 of March is both a national (revolution against the Turkish) and religious (Greek Orthodox Church celebrates the Annunciation by archangel Gabriel to the Virgin Mary that she should become the mother of Jesus Christ the Son of God) holiday.

Well bit of an update in the UK.
We were battered by storm 'Katie' last night in the south with the highest speed recorded off the Needles at 106mph. :wuerg:
Lack of sleep most of the night with the house shaking and wondering if a tree would land on the house.
Nothing happened in the end but lots of debris on the roads this morning when I headed off the to gym. Hoping for a quiet week ahead.
    Today is 9 degrees C. :p

Glad you escaped the 106mph storm. it must have been terrifying. Did you have electricity supply ?

The maximum temperature here today is 33 degree Celsius. We are heading towards summer. May month will be summer vacation for me. Hope to go and cool myself in some village away from the city. We are also having our State Assembly Election on May 16th. That's going to bring lots of heat too. ;)

Others in the south were not so lucky with crushed cars and damage reported on the news all day.
Its headed off into the North sea now so good luck to all the fishermen and oil platform workers. :(.

    farmlily3,

Your pictures are very beautiful. Especially snow on the yellow flower and snow on trees. Every picture is beautiful.

Thank you farmlily3 for the compliment.
Yes. You are right about the snow. We never have snow. For snow you have to go to norther India, near Himalayas. Its one of my wish to visit a country during snowfall. As you said snow is a beautiful garment (greenery is another garment). I liked the bird picture too with its beek open and a background of mist and something shiny inside its beak and perching on a cage sot of thing. Simply too good.

    8) Thank you, too, 12ss12. I loved that bird photo also, and couldn't resist getting it off our News blog of the snow storm! It is snowing in the background, softened by close-up focus, which gives it the misty look.
What a perfect moment for a photo!

Lovely photos farmlily3 with the snow clinging onto the trees and vegetation.

The British weather is living up to the old saying 'March winds and April showers'. And you guessed it, April showers it is with a temp of 11 degrees C.
More weather watching from Silverbirch soon. 8):)

Howling gale here in Cornwall. Unusually, the rain is coming from the south east so it is lashing at our sitting room windows and there must a small gap in the window as it is 'whistling' in the wind. Sounds like a haunted house. Noooooo.

We have rain. "Ah well, April showers bring May flowers"

Actually, our weather is pretty screwball lately. We had a warm streak back in January February -- T shirt weather! March was a mixture of everything from warm to heavy snow to rain. April got some snow, some sun, some rain as well, but overall more mild.

The problem is that flowers, trees are blooming with the early heat, then the buds die off with the freezes.

Seem to be having four seasons in one day here - beautiful sunshine, freezing cold wind, beautiful sunshine, rain, sunshine, hail and then a temperature plummet so the hail is not melting! Oh, and here comes the rain again :p.
