Did you have help packing and having the children in the car? Or were you alone? I can only imagine what you experienced and I think you are really brave:) I hope you and your family can stay safe until this Hurricane passes...

Thanks for the good wishes to all of us from Florida.:) Very glad to hear good reports! No major problems in my area, though nearby cities had some severe wind damage and flooding. Thankful for the blessings we had during the storm!

Willow - That is great news!:D I hope all our farmerama friends who live in Florida the same good fortune as Willow....and that the storm has passed and left w/o too much damage.

We have thankfully had a slight break in our heat.:music: The high today got down into the 80's!!(88 degrees F).

Marlymar and Willow and all our Florida friends. So very happy and thankful that all of you are safe and w/o much damage. Continued prayers and weather blessings for the next 60 days.

Arielh, thank you but we were not in the path of this storm. The one I was referring to was Hurricane Betsy. It was one of the worse to ever hit the Louisiana coast. I guess because it was so traumatic we stayed ready to evacuate. I had my husband to help me. My immediate family lived over 400 miles away. I seldom leave anymore because 2 of my children can't leave. One is over 911 dispatch at the Sheriff's Office and one is Director of Nurses over the E.R. in one of our local hospitals. lol, I don't know that I was brave, but I do know I was scared.

Glad Florida people and blesseslady2 are safe!
Here we still have a drought, and our dams are too empty. We're now heading into spring. The area I live in doesn't get much summer rainfall.
