Hi farm buddies. I have been away from my farm for a few days and gotten behind on most everything- and really miss it- but I will soon catch hold again and remedy that! Right now I want to share my rl news on my youngest pup . She was shot in her hip 2 weeks ago (long story, to which I still have no honest answer to) anyhow she is doing really well, but we brought her home yesterday with her left side still showing no movement, so HUGE adjustment for her in the weeks ahead. I couldn't figure how to let the friends I've met here know any other way(so many of you wonderful folks ) and since I believe prayer and positive thoughts go far and beyond, I hope by my posting this message thats exactly what my MaggieLou :inlove:will receive. I may not be on as much;) but as much as possible, thats for sure. Hugs to all my furry friend lovers.

Oh no...farmerlily22...how awful! :oops:I am so sorry to hear that your furry baby was hurt so badly/and so cruelly! I will pray for her/you and your family that she will recover. Of course we all understand...family(including fur babies) always take precedence over a game. Hugs to you!

Oh no!! I'm so sorry for your doggie and you. Lots of positive thoughts and doggie biscuits are on the way. :inlove: We lost a much beloved black lab to an idiot with a gun some years back. I hope your MaggieLou recovers, dogs are amazingly resilient though so hopefully all will be well.

That's very sad news. Luckily dogs are really great at rolling along with whatever life throws at then and she should be able to adjust. I'm sending prayers to you and pup right now! You came to the right place to let it out. Everyone here is very caring!!

(((hugs))) to both you and your MaggieLou! I volunteer in an animal shelter and you would be amazed at some of the injuries dogs can bounce back from. Lots of positive energy being sent your way, I'm sure MaggieLou can feel it. Dogs are good that way. :)

Farmerlily22: How is MaggieLou doing today? Hoping each day she improves a little more.

I was really surprised when my BeBe bounced back from vestibular problems + heart arrhythmia...she basically had a 'stroke' and a 'heart attack' at the same time. I was ready to put her to sleep, couldn't bear to see her suffer. She couldn't walk, etc. But, my husband just knew she could recover, so we brought her home. I made a sling so we could help her go outside to potty. And within a few days she started to rebound. We called her 'the liberal pug' because she kind of leaned and walked to the left for the rest of her days. Hugged the walls for a while to steady herself, but she had one last good year. I called it my 'bonus year' with her. Miss her every day.

Anyway, I don't tell the tale to make you sad, but to let you know that MaggieLou has a good fighting chance of being right as rain in the very near future. Give her some pugmomma luv from me. Gidget won't mind if I share. She hates the kisses.

I am overwhelmed, (but not surprised) by all of your love and shared thoughts and prayer! My MaggieLou thanks you too~along with her 3 brothers Scooter, RegisPhilbin, and ReggieRabbit. We have a loving report to share: our home vet is making the "train" lol for my sweety to use as back leg support (this has wheels and a harness) and until she can walk again she will learn to use this with our help. She does have feeling in her hip, as she cries when shes examined, so all in all our little angel is going to be fine! We have Regis with her same problem, except he healed with his leg amputated and you would never know it. He was the first to greet her when she came home, and the last to leave her side every evening~ he is such a romantic! Always licking her head like he knows her body is under special care...I know my husbands still doing his own "investigation" in our neighborhood to find out what happened to her, not sure if that will be a good outcome.
Thank you all again, and God Bless each of you and yours!

There's a gal who runs every day in my neighborhood with her buddy - a three legged dog. She's obviously a seasoned runner, but that dog has no problem keeping up and even a little ahead of her. Amazing how well they recover and get along on three legs. Hoping MaggieLou is even better today and the rest of the furbabies are, too.

Thank you all, and Maggie is doing wonderful! Dr. has changed up her routine and tweaked her wheels a bit again, trying to keep her on her toes and not too cozy as to not get lazy and maybe give in to the wheels doing all the work. I'm such a softy and would carry her myself before ever hear her whimper  but I listen to our dr. cuz he loves her too and knows best! (he is also our parrots dr and has taught her to say "alright now!" every time he hands her fruit)
Getting off track, now, I know how busy everyone is here, so for those of you that took time to respond to my baby's plight and my personal pleas for prayer, Thank you so very much, and be blessed for all your thoughtfulness. :inlove:
