Yippee! Today has been a most productive day. Today is the 1st hit of my second Saturn return(for any astrologers out there). This is a time that everyone over the age of 55 will experience. Events happen to enhance a person's wisdom.

I have been anticipating this day for awhile since I began to feel its effects with the urge to be productive and tidy up the apartment. It has been easier for me to take care of the details of my life. I wanted to honor this occurrences today by writing 3 past reflections of my paintings for my book. I was able to accomplish this and play both farming games. Yea!

Disclaimer: Astrology has nothing to do with my Spiritual path. I studied Astrology way before I found this path. I do not consider it often, but the pull of Saturn has been strong and since there is no conflict between my understandings of Astrology and my faith in God. I am honoring this occurrence.

I have been reading everyone's posts through out the day. They have made me feel very happy and appreciated which helped to keep me energized to keep working on the book. Thank you everyone for your warm welcome back and condolences about My Ladies passing.

Since a few of you have asked for details about the book, here goes. First off this is a book to Glorify God by documenting my creative, emotional and Spiritual journey while painting. My hope is that this book will uplift people and inspire them to want to make changes in their life to become a more God centered person.

I am not trying to recruit people to my way of thinking or have them change their faith. I want people to just become more God centered. Also, I do not want to debate any thing. Believe what you want. At the same time, I am more than happy to share my beliefs with any one privately.

Back to the book, there will be 26 medium (2' by 2') and large (3' by 3' - my favorite size) painting included. There will also be about 15 (1' by 1') small painting. Each of the medium and large painting will have a past reflection and some will have a current reflection. I'm not sure what to do with the little paintings which are all hearts. I will lump them together somehow while reflecting on them individually.

The past reflections are what I am writing now. They include my memories of the influences that happened while painting the picture. A current reflection refers to some emails that I have been sending out to family and friends shortly after I have completed a painting during the last 2 years.

I started writing reflections of my painting on this forum, and then on another farming forum for players of this game. For the last year or so, I have thought about making a book of these reflections along with pictures of the paintings.

Writing these past reflections has been very emotionally daunting since they bring up many memories of my struggles especially my struggles with depression and all the mistakes of my life. I am choicing to write from a positive perspective since my life is improving significantly ever since 10/ 2014 when I had a life changing experience when I shook hands with my Spiritual leader. Since then, I have learned at a deeper level that all my suffering and depression are gifts from God. This does not mean that all the suffering and depression just magically disappeared. It means that I am learning step by step how to live with the suffering and depression as happily and as gratefully as I can.

My gift back to God is to manifest my gratitude by painting and now this book.

The book is broken into 5 parts.

My Early works - mostly from the late '90's
The Year of Love - 2015
The Year of Circles - 2016
The Year of Peace - 2017
The Year of Magnanimity - 2018

The working title of the book is Painting a Life of Magnanimity.

Becoming a magnanimous person is my new goal in life. At a later time. I will write more about this.

I am all written out for the day. LOL

Thank you all who I have not already thanked for welcoming me back. 12 that is a lovely welcome back card. Thanks

I am having writers block today!!!!!!

My book does not require too much writing since it is also a picture book. I have been writing these past reflections for all of my paintings. They are only 3 - 5 pages times about 30. Plus, some of the paintings have what I call current reflections which are what I wrote about the painting right after it was painted. I hope the math works out so there is enough pages to make it worth reading (& buying) without being to long winded and redundant.

My plan has been to write all these past reflections as quickly as possible without editing and then after, I have them all written to go back and start editing.

The 1st pass of editing, I want to edit for content and redundancy. I want to keep going through them till I get them refined. Ideally, I want to have this done by the end of April so I can have a friend and leader of my Spiritual Organization read through this rough draft to make sure there will be no conflicts with the organization.

I have written about 10 or 15 over the last week or so. I only have about 4 or 5 more to finish to finish this stage. I have already written 1 today. I want to write one more, but I'm pooped.

This reflection can get deep emotionally and some are taking more out of me than I thought.

    How do I rejuvenate myself?????

The other thing that is going on is that I am on this HCG protocol to lose weight. It is kind of crazy, but it works. Yes, it is safe. The thing is that I have to conserve energy to lose weight. It is crazy so I'm staying home.

Any encouragement would be greatly appreciated.

I am not a writer, but do understand that when things are on your mind, you want to get them down so the task is done. Part of the harmonious lifestyle you are living includes finding the right balance with your painting, diet/exercise, your spiritual devotion, writing, real life stuff (cooking, cleaning, errands) and recreation/hobby. I would say that if your goal is to finish writing your reflections and then go back to do some editing by the end of April, the goal of one reflection a day will still meet your timeline and allow you to do all the other things you want/need to do. Give yourself the time for emotional reflection and processing those feelings from your memories. This journey you are on is a marathon so pace yourself so you aren't worn out at the end.

I know nothing of HCG but wish you well on it.

    Hugs to you :)

PNP - I followed your words of wisdom and did not push myself. I think the real problem is that I am not sure what to write for a few of the paintings.

Also, I decided 1 painting is not finished and that I need to add an extra layer of orange so I will not write about it till it is finished.

Hopefully, tomorrow will be a more productive day.

EDIT: I need people to make comments so I don't have to keep making edits. LOL You all know me. I'm a sharer. LOL if youa'll want be to keep sharing, then you have to post something in between so I don't 2x post. Otherwise, I will eventually get a clue that no one is interested and stop posting.:music::p:wuerg:

Thanks again PNP for reminding me that this book is a marathon and to pace myself.

Today, I wrote probable the hardest reflection. I was not gone to include this painting originally. No idea why not. Some of you may remember when my sister died. She died with in 3 weeks of being diagnosed with cancer. Part of the reason for this is she had suffered with schizophrenia for over 40 years.

One of the last conversations with her was about an idea to embroider on one of my small painting. She had done needle point for years. She liked the idea. It was one of the best conversations that I ever had with her.

A couple days later I went to my Spiritual Center to pray in front of the Altar. I asked God to let her die Peacefully thinking it would be days even a month. I was planning on going to back home to see her. She died that nice with her daughter and our Mother holding her hand.

I did embroider the painting and it turned out wonderful.

Too bad I have not figured out how to post pictures.

Anyway, I think I did a good job on the reflection. I even started tearing up while I was writing.

I still have 2 more to write before the weekend to meet my goal. They are tough, because I don't know what to say. Imagine that. LOL

Thanks for your encouraging words! I actually did this one a couple years ago. It is my tinyest painting ever only 10 inches by 10 inches. It has to be small to embroider on it.

From what I have researched about publishing it could take another year or so after I finish writing so it will be an awfully long wait to get your copy.

And No, I am not interested in self-publishing on the net. I wanted to be a real book with good quality photos. I am dreaming high.

    Thanks Willow!

Here is my latest painting. It is large 3 feet by 3 feet. I plan on 2 more with the same symbol, but the enter of the Heart/ Peace sign will be slightly different. This is more like the kind of painting that I do.

It would never have occurred to me to combine painting and embroidery. What a unique idea:)

sglick -I've always been a great admirer of your paintings. I'm lucky enough to own one! And I was your pupil for a few days. How I loved rummaging through your box of paint-tubes and you helping me create my own art-work. They now sit on either side of the TV and make a perfect match

This photo doesn't do it justice, but somehow show the technique and style you're using and it's beautiful.

Thank you my friend and love having you back again!
