This is the reason why it is very important ExV calculated for the purposes for donated for progress on the crop trophy and donated for the Harvest Festival event / Top X00X competition.

This is the way a trading hoarder works to buy and to sell some items and gain some CCs.

Actually, this is my ideas. LOL. xD

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A trading hoarder : a farmer who gain any items and CCs through market and never grows anything in the farm. But sometime a trading hoarder plants trees and crops or breeds animals and coloured animals with small numbers only for sales. A trading hoarder knows when s/he put the list of sales and make some investments!
A trading hoarder often plays at market Vulture.

    I'll give one example:
Did you know the average selling price of orange fruit for 70 CC/unit?
A trading hoarder will buy oranges under the ratio of exchange rates and resell it for 70 CC/unit for turnover profit. To keep profit and to pay 10% commission, a trading hoarder will buy all the oranges less than 62 CC/unit.

Why should orange fruit? Maybe you need to know the whole purpose of oranges, there lies the answer.
As well as date fruits. How about lettuces? :music:

Hi SillyGuy....I am not a Trader Hoarder, I do spend most of my time growing crops with my harvester constantly activated, always top up my harvester during harvester sale, as it is cheaper than harvester subscription. But I hardly use Farm Machinery much only when i activated from completing quests or events. I do grow Trees and Animals too but mostly crops using 1x1 and CAC

I play the game completely different to Broke, as I have fun in what i Gained and grow, as i have surplus of 3212 stars in my Barn it all hard grafted farming for almost 4 years by spring of this year. I am a Practical Efficient Farmer who tries to complete Quests and Events with little money as possible.

Ariel as you question to Number 4....It not Logical to Grow Most Production Pens to Produce Products, most of them cost more to produces using animals Feeds and Animals many of them needs two animals if you add animal feed costs on top of that, it is more cost effective to buy the products from the markets and sell the animals instead here is an example Paint Factory it requires 2x2 Field, plus one turkey feed and two turkeys....Turkeys have been selling for over 2000 cc each i did sell some for 3000 cc each.

I have 128 Turkey Pens and 128 Yellow Turkey Pens used with cloud row and buffs can reap these turkeys every 4 hours 44 Mins Where as Paint Factory would take 20 Hours or so used with Buffs and Water. In that time i can Reap 4 or Even 5 Turkeys just using 2x2 Field Space. It is an Added Bonus that Turkeys have been in demand this week plus Turkey Feed is cheap compared to other Animal feeds, so i made so much cc that i brought 128 Yellow Turkey Pens which help me reap these turkeys quicker.

I am only Growing Cookware Forges on my Farm as they are two pricey to buy from the markets, plus need them for two quests, which takes a while to complete.

Broke ...Beechnuts are not needed for any Quests nor Animal Feeds Beechnuts only have Exchange Value of 110 whereas Golden leaf has exchange Value of 135....I have been Buying Golden Leaf for less than Beechnuts in my markets, Also Yellow pears are also selling for less than Beechnuts too as Yellow Pears has same Exchange Value than Beechnuts too....I always buy better Bargain Fruits as your formula does not work with all Markets as they all varies A lot. Some Markets have better value buys than other markets.

The Pricing Index is never Fixed in the Markets I called it the Pricing Trend Index based on Supply and Demand, as it can go up as well as down, pending to up coming event, or current event, stock shortages, supply shortages etc;)

    @Mooboy

I will be much more polite in assisting you in understanding than those who were laughing at me for even attempting to engage in a discussion regarding tree fruit acquisition and sales with logic almost exactly as yours with me.

Only a major yet incomplete portion of the set up has been presented thus far. Again though, the information in the chart is specific for only a single market and ALL other will be different. One cannot take the numbers here and apply them broadly, not that easy. You do not have enough information to judge the method accurately yet. Those who use it are already at an advantage and will not attempt and force anyone to use the method or even see it.

One must prepare a similar chart with market values from their specific market to even begin use. If not, wasting time.

When presenting logic similar to what you wrote below, I was laughed at so hard one player advised me to keep the logic and just plant apple trees and with time I would be prepared for an event. In short, too many holes in too many places, more risk than necessary, limited preparedness available, and little growth potential in wealth of the farm. If this is the little you want then you got it. We demand more of our methods. None laughing now as it is clear I understand.

    1. When buying tree fruit to donate it makes do difference whether one donates Beechnuts or Gold leaf as long as each are purchased with lowest market/EV ratio, no difference whatsoever.
    2. Makes no difference whether the individual exchange value is 110, 135 or 300 as long as each are purchased with the lowest of marker/EV ratios, no difference whatsoever.
    3. Makes no difference whether the individual tree fruit is RARE or Normal, as long as each is purchased with the lowest of market/EV ratios, no difference whatsoever.
    4. Makes no difference whether the individual tree fruit is needed specifically for a Quest, as long as the fruit is purchased with the lowest of market/EV ratios, no difference whatsoever.
    5. Make no difference whether the tree fruit is needed specifically in Animal Feed, as long as the fruit is purchased with the lowest of market/EV ratios, no difference whatsoever.
    6. I agree there will be periodic and I will even say relatively permanent difference specific tree fruit. Yes, simply glance at the incomplete charts above and this can be seen. Hopefully that aspect has been explained in sufficient detail where a newbie can see it. Neither of us are newbies and I am relatively sure most can see it now. Agree, tree fruits with the same EV may/do have different market value and for many reasons. (There is a time when that fact should be considered and even much more seriously immediately prior to donation.) As long as each is purchased with proper market/exchange ratio information, makes no difference whatsoever.
    7. Presented thus far is not the method at all and hopefully no one is confused. The charts presented is not even complete and is only the set up stage. Closer to a good presentation, but not sufficient for me to conclude I have done all I can do to explain.
    8. Held at least 10 times more Gold Leaf than Beechnut, definitely. This leads to a discussion of whether one is able to acquire ALL of a single tree product in order to be competitive in say TOP 1000. If one wishes to be prepared with a single tree fruit to complete the requirements for a regular event then yes it can be done. And there is another danger in this also we can discuss further if you wish. Depending on the level one wishes to compete at, one or two tree fruit gathered to prepare is risky. Risky for at least two reasons: (a) quantity availability and (b) the resulting change in strategy which must be made if there is a rise in the market price of either one being acquired. The price can rise to the point where it is no longer one of the best to acquire. Then what do you do? Of course I know: you change and buy another. And if not enough time to gather a sufficient quantity one will make a poor donation decision which was based on a poor strategy which may include lack of understanding. One may choose to or have no alternative to doing anything else but sit out. My methods allow NO ONE PLAYING THIS GAME TO TAKE MY CHOICES FROM ME and determine which road I will go down.
MY METHOD WILL WORK ON EVERY SINGLE MARKET IN THIS GAME, every one of them. My method has been refined in discussions with individuals in this game who hold no less than at least 4 times the tree fruit any of us hold in the En Forum, no less! The method stands solidly on its own with individuals with holdings at that level.

Almost 2 years ago I tried exactly the same type of logic you presented here with me, with them. Yes, I lost every single time. Even playing games with words and matching wits I lost.

Yes, if one wishes to prepare for a couple of events asking for low levels of tree fruit ..... then although there are clear risks of acquiring one two or three tree fruit for this purpose .... it will work! What to buy my tree fruit a day or two before a major event ends?8) A better way of asking: How many million tree fruit would you like to overpay for? 8) Have any ccs to pay for it? If one does they can have all mine and I will stay completely out of an event calling for it. :D

And when I choose to play, when I am done, I will even sell competitors tree fruit to play at their appropriate level. Whatever they can afford!8)

HOWEVER, IF ONE CHOOSES TO HAVE MUCH LOFTIER GOALS: My method allows one to be prepared for simple event with absolutely no change in strategy OR EFFORT ............... While at the same time venturing down the road for a much loftier goal accomplishment.
Any other related matter, bring it on, I can handle it. ;)

What market are you on? I want to check it out. I am on Market 40. If you choose not to disclose it, I'll find a baby farm to find it and view it. I would be impressed if there is anything special there other than individual market differences. Routine here.

    Market price index:

Agree Mooboy, the index is not permanently fixed for any item. There was/is a preset index price set for ALL marketable items in the game. The index remains stable (constant) and will remain at that preset index price until the market forces of supply and demand force the price to a point where the preset index price begins to move (becomes dynamic). Three examples are pheromones and eggs and apples. For pheromone the index is preset at 500, for eggs it is set at 300, for apples it is set at 60. <------ None of these are presently moving on ANY market.

An example of one which has recently become active on most markets is Apricot. The preset index price was I believe 95.

The acquisition method used, which has yet to be explained in detail in this thread, called for routine acquisition of Apricot while preparing for a somewhat lofty goal. When the donation moment arrived, preparedness and remaining in TOP 1000 was not in doubt. My decision to make then was: Which do I donate. And that is a question answered with a method. Perhaps some will wish to discuss it another time.

I did not donate any Apricot. Look at prices now. Now I will sell until the warehouse has -0- Apricot, by choice. No effort to prepare now though.

I'm broke  I need to list Apricot to make some CCs. 8)

    cya

One more thing I forgot to add my purchase price limit in your price list:
I would buy 20% of ExV and Broke was 15%. (if I did not misread somewhere)

Cherries, yellow pears, almonds and maple saps meet my purchase price limit, I am willing to buy them all. Instead, Broke would not.

There is no right or wrong decision to buy or to sell a few items, it all depends on someone's style of playing.

    @Mooboy

I used similiar strategy before Broke discloses this methods. It works!
But I had a very different style of playing with Broke's.

Different people different ways to play! :)

    @SillyGuy

Mine was 22.67% and I would have loved it being 15%.

The rate I set was set in January last year. Sure we can discuss the details. I could have reduced it but left it at that. Keeping it that high allowed me to acquire quantities faster which gave me a wider selection. That worked well. The disadvantage was that I was constantly having to fund it which meant selling more and this turned into a slightly smaller profit. Many times I could keep up with the availability and there were times I was so heavily invested that I could not keep my market cleared to my buy point.

Oh we are together! I would buy any and all if they were lower than my buy point. I think we are together. What you are saying is part of what I am trying to explain to Mooboy. Buying like we do enables us to sell the tree fruit which has surpassed our buy point, when profitable, and continue funding the expansion and still increase levels of donate eligible tree fruit. It is the best of both worlds all in one strategy. You'll like this: Add it to the following

-------> I also have a much higher rate which I will buy other tree fruit for longer term investment. They are too high in price relative to exchange to donate. For example: apples, plums, and walnuts. Combined I have over 3.5 million of those three. These are no good for wild donation though. <-----------

I will admit, the original purchases of those three when at levels of under 20,000 each were done with a very poor style. I was really buying like a dummy. Then turned the error into what is now a profit source. I turn it just as I do lettuce to continue funding my foolishness.

Our buy rates will differ due to aggressiveness and market price differences. And that is okay. Where my discussions lead with the Big Boys always leaves us with justifying how high or low our rates are set. As I believe you suggest, which tree fruit acquired for donation purposes makes no difference, buy them all, as long as the ratio requirements are met.

I think Arielh is quite busy and it does take time to update the information given from that market. I will present the information in the same form but with data from my market if we cannot get complete information from Arielh. Then we can take this all a lot further in no time.

I see you know something and I have a question for you: Once I have gone through the process of gathering tree fruit over time and let's say an event comes out which calls for tree fruit. Of course credit would be given by exchange value regardless of how acquired. Say I have large numbers of many tree fruit. How would you determine which to donate or in what quantities of several?

    Ariel, Broke and SillyGuy....

My Method is much more simple to Follow when it comes to buying Fruit Trees compared to Broke's Over the Head no logical Formula, as it still not really making as sense to many of you, only some of it makes sense...But Broke needs to realise it is all too much to take in many of you would prefer a more simple Method

Simple Buying Fruit Trees Method for Future Donations to Top XXXX Festival Event

I just Brought 2301 Cherries for 15.07 CC Each

Exchange Value - Purchase Fruit Tree Price = 125 EV - 15.07 cc = 109.93 Exchange Gained Value

As I Purchase Up to 20% of Exchange Value of Fruit Trees

It would help if we had a simple table to give 20% Exchange Value and 100% Exchange Value

That way we can work out which Fruits are better Brought from the Markets;)

I am sorry, but Broke's formula makes perfect sense. To some it might be easier to understand if explained differently, but it makes perfect sense.

Are you proposing to use this formula to determine which fruits to buy for top 1000 donation? That is not a good idea :(
(If this was not what you meant, I am sorry)

    Example:
    1. Cherries for 15 cc gives Exchange Value - Purchase Fruit Tree Price = 125-15 = 110
    2. Dates for 30 cc gives Exchange Value - Purchase Fruit Tree Price = 140-30 =110
Your formula gives the same value in both examples. But if you have 30 cc it is clearly better to buy 2 cherries and get 250 EV than buying 1 date and getting 140 EV. But the formula doesn't tell you that :(

Using Broke's formula on the other hand
    1. For cherries: Price/EV = 15/125 = 12%
    2. For dates: Price/EV = 30/140 = 21%
shows that cherries are the best buy :) The lower the the price/EV is, the better for buying :)

    So I had misread. :music:

I think you already know the answer.
However, I will answer your questions in order to help our communities understand. :)

Say I already have 5000 medlar berries and 5000 apricots. Both are needed for "Picky Pirate" quest for 400 each and I will lose 88000 ExV if I donate them. How do I complete the quest without reducing CC and exchange value that has been collected?
When I found nothing met my buy point in the market, I would complete the quest.

Example: the lowest Price/ExV item in market is Maple Sap, it sold for 42.50 CC/unit (25% of ExV) and its quantities are 500 units each of 5 slots.

For 88000 ExV is equal to 518 Maple Saps. So I will only spend 2 slots for 42500 CCs (gives 170000 ExV).

Because of the market index, the price of medlar berry sold for 1450 CC/unit and apricot sold for 118 CC/unit. And because medlar berry selling rate is the highest Price/ExV by calculating such as the chart above, I will only sell some medlar berries and not to sell any apricots.

For 42500 CCs, it is equal to sell 33 medlar berries for 1450 CC/unit (still get the excess 565 CCs after 10% commission).

Also, lost 4125 ExV for selling 33 medlar berries. Total ExV lost = 92125 ExV. However I get 170000 ExV (get the excess 77875 ExV) and extra 565 CCs.

Very long explanation for exchange value, exchange rate and etc. Hope this helps! xD

    @SillyGuy

No problem with the 15% vs 22.67% misreading. Let's use as we will return to this when the chart is updated.

If I had set a rate at 15% there would not have been the quantities available to buy that I needed at that rate. I want quantity too.

I know you know this: By setting a buy rate at 22.67% of exchange as my top price to pay, I will automatically buy those at 15%, 16%, 17%, 18% 19%, 20%, 21%, 22.67% ........................................AND NOT ANYTHING MORE ... Let it rot on the market.

Using it gave me a wider selection. Then one gets so much it leads to the question of which to donate which is the answer I was seeking from you.

SillyGuy, I sincerely wanted your thoughts. Please allow me a day or two to casually think about it. Thank you for your help, sincerely.

One more thing: I do not recommend using pure exchange value for selling and do not do it. Once we get past all the foundation and elementary work, I can prove how easy it is to use and even identify which tree fruit to sell. (I am absolutely certain you will see it ... we will get there ... sorry so slow.)

    @-Mir85-

What you see thus far is really great. You really have a good understanding to be able to see what you see. You have paid your price to gain an understanding of the next few steps. You are amazing.

Please take my word for this at the moment: This will get easier and easier and easier.

You may wish to laugh at this: You say the formula does not tell something.... . YOU ARE RIGHT. ABSOLUTELY. The formula will not tell you what is bad for you without further analysis. I can show you how. BUT ... The formula will tell you what is GOOD for you. And that is the first thing I would want to know.

And you understand it so well ..... You see it without complete information. OMG

    @Mooboy

Now I am ROFL. Let me show you the most obviously way you will destroy yourself with the narrow mindedness.

So think time you are buying early to perhaps donate to the TOP 1000. Buying early, a good thing.

So you like the price of cherries. This would obviously be ONE I would buy at 15.

Say you were able to get 1 million in the next 11 months. 1,000,000 X 125 (the exchange) = 125,000,000

Sorry, you will not make the bottom 20 with that amount next year. I recommend you increase your quantity.

Now to site another pitfall which should about toss the idea into the trash for most:

You are using your method to buy tree fruit to donate. No problem with that. A cherry focus?

Answer this for yourself and open your mind so I may assist you:

Say you hold a whole bunch of cherries for donation as you progress. Say the game changes and the market price of cherries rises to 130 each. 8)

Are you willing to buy them to donate then?

Are you even willing to donate what you have and do without the profit?

With so narrow of a focal point, is there another tree fruit you hold in order to be competitive?

** Again, you sharing your market number or will I simply find you? ;)

If you need a chart of 100% or 20% of exchange prices then make it.

If you can set up a chart exactly as has been done, simply set it up a column for 20% of exchange and 100% of exchange. Use Excel and enter 1 formula for multiplying the exchange column by 20%. and another for 100% and another for ..... Easy Peesy and little effort.

Getting the reason for the chart set up and using a spreadsheet package yet? Come onnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn Mooboy!

    • Medlar Tree x 2
    • Strawberry Tree x 1
    • Loquat Tree x 1
    • Full Moon Maple x 5

I use Suzy Super Grow on them to give two Extra Fruits per tree to help me get 400 of each, these will help me do the quest without wasting my cc, as I am hoping the Price of these Fruits will drop Eventually as I already got all of the Apricots and Elderberries I needed

I wont be donating any Apricots as they will be bit high for the time being, as they are needed for to make feeds too

I have Brought 10.000 Olives for 25 CC each which is not bad:p

Broke Cherries is not the only fruit i buy it a simple Guideline that i use the same method to buy many other fruits as you have jumped the gun as it not very often i see fruits being sold in quanities of 1000s so i snap them up when i come when the next top festival event starts i then choose which fruits to donate or not as i go with the Market Trends

It was great that you can find a way to complete the quest with your own strategy. :)
There is no right or wrong decision with your game style. But, it ONLY works in your market.

However, how you can make suggestions to someone who does not have those rare trees and only have a small amount of CCs? Are you sure you are using a strategy that will work on others and on different markets?

In this thread, farmer_broke tried to help a beginners develop gradually how to play, especially someone who is new in this game. And it absolutely works on ALL markets.

Sorry SillyGuy I meant I am fortunate to have these Rare Trees to help Towards the Picky Pirate Quest, which i have won with the Secret Seedings which i have unlock by completing Recent Events, As my earlier posting was not a suggestion to anyone it is my current method to working on Towards Picky Pirate Quest

My Strategy is my own, as I respect others own strategy yours and broke etc. As we are comparing out methods in this forum. When I have time will do a speadsheet to show Full Listings of All fruit Trees of Exchange Values and Estimate Market prices and 20% Exchange Value Price Buy Index.....My Highest Island Tree is Mate Tree....As i know Broke has not got some of of the island Trees unlocked, some of us have managed to unlock it.

Any How I am stocking up now on Rare Animals that is rumoured are needed for Next Comic 7 Event, plus stocking up island animals for next soon to be island Breeding Animal

I have notice that the price of Animals and Animal Feeds is creaping up in my market, wondering if other markets is showing the same traits

The chart itself is not a strategy. I hope everyone understands that. The chart is useful in developing a strategy. Thus far what is being shown is only the organization of information that is available to any and everyone on any market. Arielh has kindly shared the market values available for the market used. Again, each market is different and the chart used here for illustration purposes is not good to use for another market. Even with casual use, as the discussion progress one is able to consider the information in developing their own individual strategy.

Full information is better than partial information for the development of even a simple strategy. Easily available full information is what I am seeking now and have emphasized during the set up. You are quite knowledgeable of this game and perhaps will see something here which is not so obvious. In that case I will learn from you ... and challenge you to justify if we find fault. And after considering your words carefully and our discussion then I will make a decision whether to utilize it.

Persimmon and Mate have been added. Are these more useful than lettuce is for my mill? If so, why?

Thank you for your help thus far.

    @Arielh
Thank you for the additional data. The updated chart is shown below. Would you also have your market values for Beechnut, Lychees, Jocote, Persimmon, and Mate?

The information you presented in the manner you have done so cannot be found as easily anywhere else in this forum. Thank you very much. The information will be useful in illustrating several more uses.

    ---------
Arielh's chart has been updated with additional information.

Anyone care to answer these questions based on the chart below:

    1. What is the greatest number of tree fruit that can be purchased for 20,000 ccs?
    2. Which has the lowest market value?
    3. Which has the highest market value?
    4. Which has the lowest exchange value?
    5. If an event called for 200,000 (EV) of any tree fruit, and you could not grow it, which would you purchase and how many if you had none?
    6. Which tree fruit has the absolute worse market to exchange (expressed as a %) in the chart if available to buy for donation purposes?
    7. Say one buys pears at the market value below. What must it be listed at in order to earn at least .01 profit after listing expenses.
    8. If an event called for 120,000 (EV) of only Bahamarama tree fruit, and you could not grow it, which would you purchase and how many if you had none?

Again, the use of a spreadsheet package such as Excel will prove to save time.

    1. Speaking about the quantity, plum or cherry is the best answer. I can buy 869 pieces of one of them for around 20,000 CC.
      20,000/23 = 869.5652 = 869 pieces of plum/cherry.

    2. The lowest market value = the lowest MKT price = 23.00 = plum or cherry fruit.

    3. The highest market value = the highest MKT price = 10000.00 = broke tree fruit.

    4. The lowest exchange value = the lowest EV = 4.75 = broke tree fruit.

    5. The best item to donate an event = used the lowest MKT/EV rate or the lowest % rate = the lowest spending CC = 0.1840 or 18.40% = cherry.
      200,000/125 = 1,600 pieces of cherry. It cost for 1,600*23 = 36,800 CC.

    6. The worst item to donate an event = used the highest MKT/EV rate or the highest % rate = the highest consuming CC = 2105.26 or 210526% = broke tree fruit.
      200,000/4.75 = 42105,26 = 42106 pieces of broke tree fruit. It cost for 42106*10,000 = 421,060,000 CC.

    7. Not specific question! Too wide-reaching. I'll take an example by listing apples and buying pears for event.
      200,000/120 = 1666.66 = 1667 pieces of pear. It cost for 1667*29 = 48,343 CC.
      then to achieve 48,343 CC:
48343/24 = 2014.2916 = 2015 pieces of apple (but still not earn profit, because should pay listing expenses/10% commission).
to earn at least 0.1 profit after listing expenses, the results above must be multiplied by 10 and distributed by 9.
      2014.2916*10/9 = 2238.1017 = 2239 pieces of apple. Have to sell 2,239 apples.

    8. The best Bahama item to donate an event = used the lowest MKT/EV rate or the lowest % rate Bahama categories = 0.2083 or 20.83% = papaya.
    120000/240 = 500 pieces of papaya. It cost for 500*50 = 25,000 CC.

All and all, please do not buy broke tree fruit for investment and donating purpose. Too much risk! :wuerg::mad:

    @SillyGuy

    Hi farmer_broke!
I wouldn't buy broke_tree's fruits either but If I had one I would sell the fruits and become rich8)
Is there a special offer for a picture of the "broke tree" for me?:music:

I wanted to tell you that in the last event I left with 8000 pyroblooms because I thought I would donate them but I didn't.
These crops were exchanged for 32.000 CC and EP in the end of the event.
I earned 32.000 CC but was really it worth it?

Okay, I got it. 1 piece of any tree fruit for 1 pear (24.00 CC) and listed at in order to earn at least .01 after listing expenses.

The formula is same thing : the value must be multiplied by 10 and distributed by 9.

24*10/9 = 26.6666 = 26.67 CC/unit (because we count with ONE fruit, I would add 0.01 CC. When calculating multiple fruits, this is not necessary)

I will sell 1 piece of any tree fruit for 26.68 CC/unit. Is this what you want?

    NO DEAL!!! Thanks anyway...xDxDxDxD

    @Arielh

There is nothing to worth or not from leftover event items. Each Pyrobloom will be exchanged for 4 EP + 4 CC after the event.

    A pyrobloom (2x2) with no buff produces 56 B/EP (during harvest time), 4 EP/unit + 4 CC/unit after the event.

I'll take a crop with same growing time, Asparagus (on mainland) and Hibiscus (on island).
An asparagus (2x2) with no buff produces 48 EP, for a price check market value.
A hibiscus (2x2) with no buff produces 108 BEP, for a price check market value.

    What do you think? :music:

Need to get these easy RL dollars and required to play the RL game seriously. No time for CCs. hahahahahahaha always broke here anyway!

@SillyGuy Yes, that "get your ccs back number" was what I was looking for. (Divding the purchase price by .90 will always give the same number.)
