Invite friends to play now not working

I click on the button and nothing happens. I have a couple of friends who I'd like to invite but the button does not work. I've tried it in Chrome, Firefox and IE but nothing happens in any of them.

Can yo please be so kind and let us know if you are trying to add existing players as neighbours, or invite your "real" friends through e-mail? Have you signed up through the Farmerama website directly, or playing through a partner / different portal ? ​

 

I am attempting to invite my "real" friends through e-mail. I play through Big Fish Games.

 

On this account I log in directly through the Farmerama website and the function does not work for me here either.

 

The only way this function works is if your friends sign up to play the game. You don't need to invite outside people to start game accounts. You can invite existing players to be your neighbors. Check out the daily neighbor request thread and invite people you see posted there, and/or post a neighbor request yourself. Sometimes you can find neighbors in chat, as well.

Then why is there a link in the game that says if you email your friends to join the game and they join you get bonuses?

Neither of the links in the game work for me though. See the screenshots below.




Not only am I not able to invite friends, but I still cannot view movies in the cinema. I always get the message that there are currently no videos available and to try again later.

Earlier today, a good friend of mine was over. She recently started playing the game on my recommendation. Not only can she watch videos and invite her friends via the email link in the game, she even showed me while she was here... from my computer, in my home. So it is obviously not anything wrong with my computer or based on my location. And surely the cinema issue is not based on demographics as we are the same sex and there is less than 6 months difference in our ages. She also lives just a few blocks away and uses the same internet provider as I do.

Since you have registered through a partner, not through Farmerama directly, we do not have access to your account information. Your details, such as your e-mail address, will not be visible for Farmerama / Bigpoint - only for BigFishGames. Therefore, the invite friends feature is not available for you. Indeed, it should not be promoted in game if you don't have access to it, and we will pass this along to the Game Team.

The Cinema is another feature blocked by most of the partners, for advertising reasons.

Sadly, there is nothing to do to change this, I am sorry.

As for the account that is registered on Farmerama directly, please be so kind and try using this button as well - is anything showing up? It would be great if you could use a different browser as well:

I did register through Farmerama directly, though. Bruner01 is the account that registered through Bigfish. I am not able to view movies in the cinema or send email invites to my friends from either account. The screenshots sent were from the account that has registered through Farmerama directly. I have tried Chrome, IE and Firefox and the features did not work on any of the browsers. My friend who successfully tried from my computer did it from Firefox.

I understand, that's why I have asked you to please try the other button for the farm registered through Farmerama.

As for the Cinema, there isn't much we can do. Clearing your cache and cookies and using a different browser for this farm than the one for your BigFish account, would be great - maybe this will help trigger movies. We cannot influence the flow of content though, so all we can do is ask you to keep on trying I'm sorry.

I have tried both buttons for the farm registered through Farmerama, that is where the screen shots above came from. I've cleared all cache and always use a different browser for the two farms. At this moment I'm trying from a different computer at a different location (work but we'll keep that between us... LOL) and it still won't work. I've never logged in to the BigFish account (or this one either for that matter) from this computer. It is frustrating.

 

Is there another invite button that you are referring to other than the ones shown in the screenshots above? I know about the add neighbors button, but those people have to already be registered players and there is not the reward that is promised by the other.

On your side bar you are showing a box with 3 people in it and a box with 1 person. Have you used the 1 person box? when you open that there is a pic with a person and an envelope. I think that is the other button that teddy.bear is wanting you to try if you haven't already.

I have checked both you accounts and they both appear to be under BigFishGames - one properly registered through BigFish as partner, and the other one having it as affiliate-partner. So, somehow, they are connected. You must have registered after acessing the game through BigFish. Your friend's account on the other side (the one accessed from your computer) has no connection what so ever with any partners.

There is no other button apart from the 2 in that sub-menu, but I was able to access it on our side. The Invite button is enabled, green, and invites can be sent.

What I can advise you is to contact our Customer Care Team, and provide a list of e-mails you would want the invitations to be sent to.

How weird! I was logged into the game from my BigFish account when I first created this one, but I did it from a different browser and went straight to the Farmerama website. I will try contacting Customer Care with a list and see how that goes.
