I loved the last event, it was so much fun, but was so very disappointed in the reward trees and stables, can we ever get just 1 new exciting reward for all our work. I am debating if I even want to participate in the new breeding event. Did anyone get something exciting from the last event. I am posting here because I can't post in player feedback, which I feel this post should go. Makes not sense. Awaiting replies! thank you

First off, this is my first breeding event, but my other farm (sewinglady) has done several. These usually aren't that hard - concentrate your breeding during Baby Boom days. and you should be able to finish without too much effort.

I don't know if this farm can do all the levels, but when you're just starting out, any reward is a good reward, so I'm going as far as I can with this one.

snowman.. first, not sure why you cannot post in feedback unless you are going to the wrong section? Each event has its own thread. Second, for suggestions, post in suggestion forum. Before you do that, though, you should look through the older suggestions, because there are very likely something akin to what you are wanting there already (might be a page or two back, though).

Overall, the best way to see events is as giving you something extra, above and beyond what you can get in normal play and not generally repeated. Wonder pens and trees of various types have become frequent, because folks have asked for them. There is definitely a divide. Some people like not knowing. Others want to know specifically what pens/trees they will get. When specific items are given out, though, they get numerous, the value of the product drops and people are therefore less happy. I suspect that is part of why the team does a lot of these random gifts. That way they can somewhat limit (by probability) what numbers of various pens are given out overall. (that is, they don't choose who gets what, but more or less know that x number of players will give y, z numbers of pens/trees). Good or bad, folks differ on opinion.

What each thing is worth changes as you go up in level and gain various items. In particular, EP givers and such become more "valuable" because it gets harder and harder to go up in level. Remember, givers are "permanent" additions. For better ideas, try looking at the threads in the strategy forum. There are several that talk about various items (artisan products, givers, stars, EP/BEP, etc) and give you indications of what is and is not valuable and, perhaps more importantly, why people feel that way (so you can better judge if you agree or not).

Another thing people tend to overlook with these events are the stars which come as rewards for completion. These stars are only available for a limited amount of time and are usually much easier to come by than most of the other permanent breeding quests, but are still highly valuable for unlocking runes within the tree.

I'm not sure what level you are but I will say that free trees and stables are always good. In the case of a breeding event it does cost you the PF (power feed) in order to get them so really it's up to you. Most people play the events for the fun of it and to get the cloud rows and EP givers more than they do for the other rewards and as Decree wisely pointed out to earn the stars.

If you are basing your decision solely on if you will get the newest "rare" tree or stable that is a hard choice as the odds are not in your favor. I got a bunch of mouse stables in the last event to go with the bunch of mouse stables I already had. Not my favorite thing but I've been playing long enough to know they will come in handy at some point even if it's just to donate them to a new player. :)

As for the mystery stables from the polish event...I did receive 2 red turkey pens. :)The rest were so so. But I was excited about the turkeys!!!:music:
For the BBD....so far my best skip was regular pandas to a Circus panda!!!:D
I'm sorry you were disappointed with your results...hopefully your luck will improve. ;)

  8. Well, the only drawback was the number of babies required, which entailed breeding animals I didn't really want - other than that it was a reasonably good event. Out of the mystery stables, I got a kingfisher, tortoise and kiwi, with two to go, so I feel I did very well, though with half the trees planted, the results from those were more mundane.

Perhaps the OP would like to suggest a 'new, exciting reward' that they think would be preferable to what was given - not sure what level snowman is, nor how long they have been playing. My suggestion would be to have an event or series of events to open up new land, or sections of a new area. This would be something that most long-term players would relish and give the lower players something to aim for.

I really don't need more decorations, even when linked to a new cloud, unless they give something special like a breeding animal or extra boost to crops or trees. Even the stars just pile up, because there's nothing left on the tree to get (so the extra land was a great bonus).

I do find the stables and trees reasonably enticing rewards for an event, as is power feed, mainly because they save me 'real money', as they cannot be obtained any other way, whereas I have trees which give supergrow, supermulch and Suzi supergrow, pheromones. EP is nice and so are CCs, but I don't play just to acquire more points or more in-game money (when you need tens of millions of points to level up, and have tens of millions of CC, a few more isn't worth getting excited about, nor a reason to give up resources which can be sold more profitably); I play because I'm very fond of my little farm and the events are an entertaining extra not an essential.

This may come across as tinged with ennui, but it's not, I am still playing after more than five years and I have three neighbours who've been with me virtually from the start, which is an indication that Farmerama is keeping us interested, even if sometimes they get it wrong.
