My my my, at an all time high, in the CC department! Been selling Blackthorns and Tamarind trees...Kiwi birds, Wolves...Black eyed Peas and Knobby Knees!! What?!

 

Frogs - A Park with fishing (and maybe a little canoeing), and a nice cookout under the stars sounds wonderful! But that can be done most anytime. Whereas a trip to Dubai is pretty special....and if you want to spend 1-2 hundred thousand - why that will be just fine, too!! We'd love to have you. But, of course, that's entirely up to you. Go, or not, your choice - we'll love you anyway!

Dubai, it is really good, I was challenged by a friend, I told him I am afraid that I may not get the visa to enter since I am an Arab and working in the gulf countries, he told just go and see the airport, and if you did not get the visa I am going to pay your ticket, so I accepted the challenge and went there, the airport was a surprise to me and I liked it, all that duty free shops and restaurants and even bars, and you don't have to walk though it is huge, it is full of escalators and the moving platforms for the people who don't want to walk. the visa was easy, there was a special treatment for Jordanians since our princess got married to the ruler of Dubai, I spent three days there rounding the markets, and Dubai is not expensive as people may think, they have the least rate of taxes and duties which is 2% only, and this time of the year there is the shopping festival were the government drops that 2%, so no duties and customs, so it is the best place to go shopping, what is expensive there is the accommodation for the people planning to stay there or work there, but for hotels there is always a choice from 3 stars to 5 stars hotels, the city is over crowded but organized, there is no jam, one thing to consider only, the heat in the summer, it is a killer from May to September, it is over 44 Celsius and up to 50 with very high humidity most of the time, so guys now is the time, the weather still good, and catch up with the festival.

 

Not gonna Bungee but a Zip Line is more for me! Much better for all of our backs

 

I have watched some of the Video ..... very pretty ...... looks HOT there lol .... *packs a/c suit" might not be the height of fashion but a froggie gotta stay cool .....would love to see some of the Older buildings .... in australia not much here thats older than 200 years old lol ...NOT big on the idea of riding camels they are really TALL to a little froggie like me ..... no bungee or zip lines for me ..... this is one froggie that likes her "bits" intact lol ..... just set me up in a spa bath with some big lillypads looking out the city windows .... I'll be happy as a frog in a pond you all can go out on the town i'll be happy there lol ....

 

@ abubadi66, Glad to hear you took advantage of that challenge, enjoyed reading about your Dubai trip I have only experienced the wonders from afar, but.. one day.. it's on 'Thee list'..
know a few who have and by their comments your information is spot on.
Many things in Dubai can be cheaply bought especially well sort after computer programs and gold jewelry.. if you like those sort of things. TY
