Oh well, I live and learn ...... (when I find a light bulb) xD

I discovered one thing: If I feed power feed to the chickens for a treat then I will not have power feed for a breeding event.:(

Uh ohhhhhhhhhhh .... light bulb lit up

    So I'll mindlessly grow junks

WOW ........... and no light bulb needed :)

(calculators with batteries... LOL! I'm not the only senior citizen playing this game... lol) I bet she used her phone app or puter to add things up... ;)

That list of EV was helpful. Maybe someday... I'll have time to put all that stuff in a spreadsheet... lol Altho you probably could have saved yourself some typing. For example, the largest request for sheep is 150,000. I have no intention of donating anything better than a snuggles at that level. (Now just watch me accidentally donate a goldie... lol. But wait I don't have one so *whew*!)

I took inventory this aften and I have less than 100 reg sheep. So I sent them all to the Love Shack where I had prepared the bedding with rose petals, a bubble bath for four?!, some champagne, chocolate covered strawberries, etc. Can sheep eat chocolate? Never mind... they're imaginary sheep with imaginary chocolate... Also sent some brownies to the Love Shack too. I dowsed a bunch of critters with pheromones then realized I won't be harvesting them for more than 12h... oh well... Then I sold a bunch of pheromones. I have 10k! I have more donkeys than anything but need to get booth #1 done first... I should be able to get the whole event done without too much trouble. Maybe someday I'll prepare for these things ahead of time... hahaha

Time for some B52s "Love shack, that's where it's at..." *singing out of tune, and grinning*

    EDIT:
I just saw some good bred critters on the regular farm wheel, like pack burros. And I won one.

Hi SuzeeRabbit, seems like a long time since I've seen you around. Hope you are well.

I must confess: I did very little typing of the EV information. Cut/paste from the game faqs. Easier to provide all the EV information than selective cut/paste. (I hope to never present another chart in this forum.)

    I'll try something:

From the EV data one can clearly see that by multiplying the animal's EV by four (the number required for breeding) that the total is NOT equal to the next animal's EV. This is where a thorough understanding of breeding in the game begins.

Why? I can only suggest that this difference is due to the skips and animals placed on the wheel.

Sure, donating to an event such as the present can be done by simply using the EVs presented. I imagine most will do just that.

I know with absolute certainty that the above method of donating is definitely NOT the most efficient, but it works, yes.

What is the best method you can come up with? <----------------- The issue

One must try and keep track of exactly what one has in each and every single breeding animal.

And our breeding animal costs will differ and the differences can be astronomical. And trying this is time consuming, interesting at times, assumptions must be made, assumptions may be changed over time, assumptions should be consistently applied, and each time a breeding is made the specific animals must be identified. For me, this is very bothersome to always do.

Even if one does not always work the method then one at least has something better than pure EVs of breeding animals to consider. And the less often one does it then the further off one becomes from the actual.

How is it that neither of my farms has very many colored sheeps? I got sheeps, plain old, so there is that...so I'm making baby sheeps. lots of baby sheeps. Anyhoo...my strategy is to make some of each until I see what filters out after the first set or two of breedings. Then adjust accordingly. And has anyone had even a modicum of success using those fancy pheromones? Because I haven't...but I'm running a bit of an experiment on this farm, so results when this set of breedings is done.

My goodness... TOO. MANY. ANIMALS. o_O
The amount of donation is giving me anxiety! :wuerg::wuerg::wuerg:

My strategy might just be to sit this one out...

Um, I am quickly realizing that this farm is going to have to go with the same strategy. I got the sheeps done. ugh. Chickens is even worse! So I am out. Gonna take my aminals and go play in the barnyard instead.

On the other farm, I am bound and determined and obsessed and just did 132 breedings of chickens. And it's still ugly. Although I did get a rainbow chicken out of it, so there is that. It's so purdy. And no, I am not donating it. Gonna put it in a pen and admire it.

I'm out. I ran numbers on the first two booths and I'm just not into providing that much input/animals for the cloud row. The step prizes are inviting but there isn't anything in them I can't do without. I'll have to wait longer for my factory upgrades, a pecan tree, etc., but it will all come in time and maybe not at such a cost.

    Booth #1
450000 EV total divided by base sheep EV = 3215 base sheep donation (450000/140)
    Brownie: 1 200 = 375
    Blackie: 3 000 = 150
    Baldy: 10 000 = 45
    Curly: 32 000 = 14+additional lower EV
    Snuggles: 100 000 = 4+additional lower EV
    Glitter: 320 000 = 1+additional lower EV
    Rosy: 1 000 000 = are you crazy?
Goldie: 3 000 000= are you crazy more?

    Booth #2
600000 EV total divided by base chicken EV = 24000 base chicken donation (600000/25)
    Roaster: 700 = 857+additional lower EV
    Silky: 1 900 = 315+additional lower EV
    Crazy: 6 300 = 95+additional lower EV
    Gumbo: 20 000 = 30
    Mini: 63 000 = 9+additional lower EV
    Breezy: 200 000 = 3
    Rainbow: 630 000 = are you crazy?
Golden Hen: 1 850 000= are you crazy?

If BP were doing better on their skips, maybe I'd consider the event. But that last xx number of baby booms have not produced any overwhelming results. It's been a long time since we have had old day results with baby booms. And don't get me started on the deluxe pheromones because all I see on our foreheads (or at least mine) with this concept is "suckers".

    Good luck to others.

I'm with you, Sarann - the deluxe pheromones are a completely worthless investment. I've had no decent skips with them whatsoever. My little experiment this morning just proved that. So pfft. so much for them.

I have tried the deluxe pheromones several events, about 100-200 breedings each event, and no luck on them. I am really tired of the lack of skips any more. I used to get a few of up to 4 levels higher, but it is primarily the next level with occasionally skips of one or maybe 2 levels. I never get anything higher even with the deluxe. The events and added levels all seem geared to getting more RL money any more.

My take on the deluxe pheromones: It is a total waste if you use them breeding regular animals or lower level colored ones. I do however use them when breeding red animals (and sometimes the top orange ones). At that level a skip is very valuable, so even a slight increase in the number of skips is worth a lot :) I am glad we can now use the deluxe pheromones also together with BB, that is a tiny improvement too.

Well I am finished! I have the CR up and running!xD I found that using the Deluxe Pheromones is a waste of time as they are rubbish (imho)!;) The Chickens and Cows were a challenge for me:p as the Ev's are so low till you get to the 4th and 5th level, but I hung in there and got it done! Good luck and PLAN well and you can do it too!

    Congratulations sanddollar! :D
You finished before me. CR up on this farm and AmySue52.
The chickens were the absolute Worst, at least the base cow has a better EV. I was able to use them for the first two requirements, as well as fillers for the others.
Lots of Luck everyone and may the skips Not take you over your desired EV. (I donated a Cowgirl on the last request)

Well to start with I was all in for doing this event. I had been gathering good numbers of the required animals in preparation. I started breeding and donating to the sheep booth but after more careful consideration looking at requirements etc I have stopped for now. I unfortunately didn't have a great stock of PF to start with and am now down to below 100, and although PF is given as rewards, I just don't think I can get anywhere near enough to breed enough to complete the event so am thinking I may be better off either keeping what I've bred for my own uses, or selling them on the market as my market is out of pretty much all the animals required for this event.

I think the CR is pretty good. Good amount of EP, really cute givers, but I've already got a CR that gives a crate of zany animals so as much as I like the CR's that give crates, at least I don't feel like I'm missing out on those.

So I'm going to wait and see if we get another BB during the event, and if we do I may continue but for now I'm just going to concentrate on the other event.

Please note: Contrary to what is indicated in the FAQ, it seems the tool belts drop from every breeding, not just the event animal breeding. Wish I had known this, there are other animals I would have bred instead  only found it out after I had finished the event, when I did some extra breeding.

Thanks joanc, and congrats to you too! I so agree that those Chickens were the worst!:wuerg: I did manage to breed a little extra cows and hung onto my "Cowgirl" it was sheer stubbornness on my part!:pxD

My other farm now has excess low level cows. That farm has the cloud row. This farm has given up. Here's a good one - in order to get enough high level chickens and cows on the other farm, I did enough breedings that I have...wait for it...850 excess tool belts.
