Labor of Love Event Strategy

Spoiler: I have to admit...

I never even considered skipping the event

 

After doing most of last Event using Puffin and my Phone I'm really looking forward to this Event.
Bring it on!

 

The Milled Items:

45 love letters
80 delicious gifts
65 floral gifts

but.... what am I missing, where do we find the amounts needed for the luscious bouquet's and Heart Shaped Cakes?? Thank you everyone for figuring this all out, you're all fantastic!!!

 

This Event is seems to be much Harder to do due to High Amount of Three Kind of Drops Especially 1250 Love Poem is needed !! Plus 650 Ribbon and 640 Heart Cake Tins !! Plus need to Grow 20,000 Heart Bloom too.

The last Event has Drain many Farmers to lack of Sleep or need to cool down and do laid back Farming. As many of us are debating weather to Prepare this Farm for this Event or not. If we choose not to prepare farm to get good amount of Drops on First Harvest. Then Change Their Minds after day one or Two. But if any of you do change your minds and do this event, It is a Big IF weather you can still get all of Required Drops.

Since many of us got a Ample amount of Super Grow from Carnival Event. As i always have an Contingency Plan to make up for Short Fall of Drops, just in case to Make up for Short Fall of Drops. Simple using Comfort Fields Nuking Carnations/Roses/Harvest Cloud Row/White Innocents Buffs.

I have Drawn up Strategy Plan but it might not Bode well with your Game Plan for this Event as Indicated that some of you are Skipping This Event. I can add Simple Break Down of what is needed to Complete All Three Levels for The Cat, Red Panda and Goat.

 

Hi Molly

Luscious bouquets are only needed to mill floral gifts, one per gift, so you'll need 65 of them. Similarly, one Heart Shaped Cake per delicious gift, so 80 of those.

Also note that 4 letters are needed for each floral gift and each delicious gift, so although you only need 45 letters for the cat, you'll need

45 + 65*4 + 80*4 = 625 ​

letters in total.

But since the cat might gift us floral gifts and delicious gifts, we might need fewer than stated above to complete the event. If you don't want to make more gifts than necessary to complete the event, it is best to start with the letters for the cat, and see if you get some of the other gifts from her

Sad to say a lot of the farm still stays a mystery/misery for me I am slowly working it out. The tweaks are killing me right now, I can't seem to nail them down.

I messed up a lot on both farms, keltic got a save I still had raspberries up in refinements so got long crops for start drops, so it got me thinking, How long do you need to use comport fields, not a rush thought as it needs SG and all I got has a place to go. But when would you need to set them up?

The crop is flower so yeah, messed up with raspberries carnations would have benefited with the flower row, and the seed thing with 2x2's gives more, that works for me some times, I add all the SG/manure/w/suzy and I sometimes count one more on two 1x1's than the juiced up 2x2.

My mind got frizzed at 12ss12 need for break, I without the great farmers here really need to look at this part of the farm, even with just eyes closed and growing as I go play, tweaks might have been the only thing to save my gaming fun doing it solo like.

What tweaks are best to learn? are there fall backs? what about pull out of the hat ones?

Basics artisans I got animals, val pot/church bouquet, crops, carrot cake/cac but the tweaksI is lost.

So, any help on comport fields would be great as I might have to do a field to make up for my blunders this time around.

 

I've got my fields in carnations and mouse pens. Will remove the mouse pens tomorrow after event starts. Will hold gifts until after event starts. My mills are queued up until at least event start although I won't need them until after a few rounds of event crops. I think I'm as ready as I can get! Now to get a good night's sleep and remember my routine for the morning.

 

If one was to use CAC to harvest the 20,000 Event Crops and use 4 fields (minus the Rainforest).
It will take 8.59 Harvests.
Have fun and will be looking forward to see how the drops fare.

 

ok banjoman is that with nothing but fields no trees ect...? and what size fields are you talking about? just curious I'm just tryin to figure this out cause obviously ive been doin it all wrong all these years go figure lol so now I'm tryin to get it right

 

I am saying if you were to use 776 1x1 fields using CAC would net 2,328 per harvest.
The Main and Green meadow have the potential for 202 1x1s, The Magical Glade has 184 and the Baha plantation has 188 for a total of 776. CAC will yield 4 crops per 1x1 but, you have to plant the next crop hence you should always use 3x the number of 1x1 fields.
Does this make sense?
I would then divide my net into the total amount of the event crop required to get the total amount of harvests needed.
If you are still hauling the crop and animal trophies or any pets or Howies you have to reduce your amount accordingly.

I think the math is off on the Heart's of bloom. I come up with 39200 Heart's of bloom needed.
Each Love letter requires 32 Heart's of bloom.
Cat level requires 85 Love letters,
Fox level 160 Delicious gifts each using 4 Love letters = 640 Love letters
Goat level 125 Floral gifts each using 4 Love letters = 500 Love letters
85+ 640+ 500 = 1225 X 32 Heart's of bloom = 39200

I don't like the appearance of this event. Thank you, I'll make a change and work the entire event too.

I'll begin setting 1x1s up as fields are harvested, use CAC, pinkie pie, a single white innocence to use with using super grow on the first few seeds in 1x2's and no more use of super grow, will keep fields active (as little down time as RL permits), no hurry hurry to finish early, will keep mills spinning and plan for the interruption (BAHA mill will not be used), will even plan to sell the event milled items on the market periodically and strategically, and use mature on the first 10 seeds, and use only water therafter (no exception).

If I may send anything for you to sell and buy crops to mill simply let me know and it will be done.

My strategy would be to mill the products as much as possible and if you can get them at the market for a reasonable price, buy them as much as you can. Else mill them all.

Here I was thinking farmer_broke would be busy marketing & Now I find he is going to try this event out inspite of having to grow such huge amount of junk crops....he is more & more & more wise then he let's us think ...no inner meaning intended...The words mean what they are (...he is getting a first hand information trying to do this event.. so that he can be a better_____farmer/marketer...fill in as you wish)

and I have a hunch that mingling had already used his gray matter and finish this event with lots of strategies which he would have formulated by now

One Two, the only thing I add is: DO NOT let market maniacs like me take advantage of you if you need crops to mill and do not have them and do not wish to grow them.

The requirements are very low and one can purchase them 100 each day a lot cheaper than fooling with clowns like me in the market place. (We're laughing and will getcha.)

All mice pens now clear. 1x1s set up with raspberry (17 hrs 48 mins) with refinements used and water down to 10 hrs 21 minutes. Baha and rain forest still full of elephants and when finished I'll run sloth, after that enough crops will be ready and I'll run event junks. Trees will remain in outlying areas until convienient to harvest and replace with junks.

Anyone planning to produce mice after the event might consider milling mouse feed during a portion of the event. Without the mill subscription one is able to keep enough feed for about 70 pens if harvesting on time and using water. If one does this one will have no problem with feed and will not fool with the expensive feed market clowns ........ replace clown with specialists.

One Two, I'll pay close attention to your post after I grow about 12 gazillion junks or so.

 

Thank you, farmer_broke for the advice. I will keep it in mind. They are very useful. I, usually, am very stringent in spending CCs. That's because I am not a usual seller in market. I do not produce anything in large scale except for events & animal feeds. I usually have 2 pens of each animals/workshops and trees to stock up my reserves. In midst of the event, when there is 1x1 plots with cac, I plant a round of crops of which I have minimum numbers. I do that 100 thing also only during the events for higher crops. But now and then for lower level maize, carrot, lettuce, wheat, oats etc. So usually I do the event without buying the requirements. Its usually during the breeding event that I shop most. That's because I have limited amount of power feeds.

I am also waiting to hear your analysis of this event and also of Mooboy, Mir, woody and other farmers (please do not mistake if I have not named any farmer here, its just that I cannot think of all at a single point of time & I know there are many many intelligent & wise farmers here) as I feel some of the features will be carried forward to future events. I think in future we might have to change our strategies of farming. The game will be taking a new head in several directions. But I am not sure 'what are they'. I have only the intuition and not the speculation. Sadly I always lack that.

Thanks 12ss12, great break down of the items needed! I can never get it right and either barely make enough of have way too much at the end.
I believe this is one of the most complicated events that I can remember, (been farming this game since 2011) but even so I am compelled to play the events. if no other reason than to get the stickers for my very full sticker book.
I am very glad that we can continue to play for more gifts again. That is always a joy.
Again thanks to all for the great tips for playing these events. Even being a member for so long, I always get a new tip/strategy from reading these posts.
