I was working hard on the FSQs but reached a point where the only way I was going to get any higher was to buy them or win them - can't even remember which ones I was working on! May just have a jumble of different animals, just the base or first level animals and see if I can get lucky!

Seriously, if that's possible for me, I really would like to have a huge supply of PF left for the next Cuckoo event ... it's whether I can stop myself breeding at the weekend!*

* It's funny how this sounds okay when talking about our farms.

I've actually got butterflies in my tummy waiting for the BBD event to start! Why? Because I'm loaded with Pink Jelly, PF's, Pheros, and animals! First. Time. EVER!

Who knows what goodies I will discover at birthing time!

Chevrefeuille - LOL....yes I hope too you can control yourself and Not breed all weekend long!!!! I will also have to restrain myself...and save my pf.....and now the very expensive pheromones(I'm so impatient...can breed without them!).

DarlingD - I'm that nerdy too! I always get excited for BBD!!! I can't wait to see what type or color of babies will arrive on my farm!!!!

 

I've been goosing my 3 Scented Trees with SSG and still don't have as many Pheromones as I would like.

Update: A level 5 skip received on each field in 1st round

 

I got 1 Mini from the wheel and it will be easier to get a gumbo!

But I won't try for the dogs because I can't produce their feed.

 

So far I have done excellent And it can only get better! (I hope )

Bred all 10 animals, used 372 PF, but I will get 310 PF from the quest, so it only cost me 62 PF


Have sold 8 of them, will try to sell some more today.
Then I hope prices go down tomorrow
so that I can buy them back

Edit: Only the gumbos are not sold. One is out for sale, but the price is dropping. Maybe most people started with the chicken breeding.

I started with 4 speckled and got a 1 Black, 1 Angora, And 1 Pygmy.

Then 4 ducks got me 1 Motor and 1 Sailor

But wait there is more
4 ducks gave me 4 Ducks, 1 Mallard, and a DOLLAR Duck
I think I just won the Farmerama lottery.

I have done all the levels I can but reading the above I might just do a bit of breeding and hope to get lucky to complete the last couple of levels. Should have gone out today but now have the day free! Wrap presents this morning, put more decorations up then hope my longer crops, which I put in early today thinking I would not be here, are ready to harvest. Fill a field with breeding pens and voila, lots of lovely jumps!?!?!

I am seeing some lovely skips here. I couldn't resist but I am being a little careful. Just put four hotels out on each farm and am going to leave myself about 500 PF for the next Cuckoo event.
So far, no great skips like I've seen here - the best was a Bumblebee from regular Bees.

 

All done, or I would have been, except I sold all my (regular) rabbits and forgot to raise some more, so have to wait for them

I bought back all my bred animals. The gumbo didn't sell, so I lost 45k there. But I still made a nice profit, 867 000 CC in total

 

No skips here yet, so still plugging away for the pygmy goats and sailor ducks. Fortunately I had the gumbos and curlies in stock.

 

Finished on both farms.

Needed 8 bred animals on pnp and used 358 PF so with the the 310 in rewards, not bad...

Needed 4 bred animals on BW and could not get a pygmy at all. Skips were either below or above it but no joy on a pygmy. After 206 PF, I gave up and just bought both of them. Family is coming over today and just wanted/needed to be done. With the 310 PF rewards, I now have more than when I started. I am too tired to to troll the market to try to figure out what to sell and for how much. Going to log off, spend the day with sister and kids, enjoy the Christmas parade this afternoon and keep whatever breeding stock I may have left in the barn. I know I could make some nice CC but just too tired to think...

Like Aunty Illy I also bred a few pandas , donkeys and bees. Couldn't resist though..
Got the best skips ever!

1 karate panda from regular pandas and a ninja bee from regular bees.
I'm so happy!(that's my first round breeding results)

What's the avg price of gumbos listed in the 1st page of your mkt and what's the price you listed your gumbo for? Depending on that, you'll most probably sell your gumbo, after BBD ends and before the event ends. It's typical (I have bred animals worth millions listed as I write that are not selling yet -though 3M worth of them got sold overnight- and I'm pretty confident most of them will be sold after BBD ends -and I have some in reserve to be quoted then-). Desperate last minute buyers will check in after that. Don't forget there are still almost 4 days till event end but just 1 day of BBD left.

Bred animals mkt dynamics in these cases are typically as follows:
For those suddenly requested animals, like the L4s now:
* high price before BBD starts;
* highish but lower price after BBD starts till it ends;
* sometimes, a big downward slump when those BBers get in panic to sell what they've got; these animals run out pretty quickly because no new offers are added -BBers have already quoted-;
* high price, usually higher -it'll depend on the players universe luck- than that previous to BBD; very high in the last day/hours.
For those L0 through L3 animals (the "raw materials" for the "do-it-yourself" types):
* high price before BBD starts;
* highish but lower price after BBD starts till it ends;
* sometimes, a big downward slump when those BBers get in panic to sell what they've got, before BBD ends;
* stable lower highish price afterwards.

Besides, this BBD/event is polluted by the fact many are breeding towards the Soup quest goals. So, PF application needs to be split. This means pretty sustained highish/high prices for relevant categories across the board.

I'm quite sure you'll get your gumbo sold.

 

No I unlisted it already

I bred the 10 required animals, sold 8 of them Friday, bought them back Saturday I needed the gumbo for the quest so I unlisted it. I could probably have bought a cheaper gumbo and waited for mine to sell. But I'll be quite busy the next week and didn't want to think about it any more. I am very happy with my profit, I view it as a bonus

I had it listed at 450k. The cheapest offers I saw, were just over 200k.
