Thank you all so much! For your prayers, thoughts, but mostly for your kindness and willingness to be here. I don't give compliments often or lightly, so when I say this group is a great one, you know each of you have earned the compliment.
My uncle is still with us, how or why no one knows, the drs are dumbfounded they haven't seen anyone his age ( 70+) with his health issues hold on for this long. Tomorrow they stop the IV, he has stopped eating so they are thinking at most he has a couple days left, they also think he now has a lung infection which is speeding the process. My heart breaks for my Aunt and cousin while they deal with this. This may sound odd, or morbid even, but I can't shake the word that keeps invading my mind when I think of what is happening Deathwatch, that is what I see happening, I've not gone to see him for 2 years and can't afford more than 1 trip now, so will wait until I hear about final arrangements.
I have been so wiped out, emotionally and physically, this week. The pain with my back is causing me not to eat, nothing sounds good, nothing tastes good, so I force myself to eat a little but even with all that I'm not losing any weight/ inches.
I read the posts, and Sglick, please know I don't expect anyone to respond specifically to my posts and when they do I am amazed because I can remember parts of what I read but not usually who said what... so thank you, you seem to me to have it together pretty good :) Oh and I love that mosaic table you made it is gorgeous!
Again thank you all for being here and being who you each are.

I am so sorry to hear about your uncle. Knowing a loved person is about to die is not easy. Hopefully he is in no pain and will have a peaceful "going".
My thoughts are with you and your family.

Hopefully your pains are going to be better soon.

It's so lovely to see everyone here that has come to this thread. What an amazing and kind group. I think I am feeling as the rest of you - too much to respond to everyone individually, but I have read everything here and am so appreciative of the sincere and genuine care expressed for each other in this thread. You are all so brave for sharing so openly! :)

Thank you also for the condolences. It is my great (!) grandfather who passed, a wonderful man that I feel so blessed and grateful to have known this far into my life. He was near 96, and the last few years have been quite hard for him. He is such a dear heart, and I will miss him very much but I am so relieved he is free of suffering. After some rescheduling, the last of the memorial stuff is happening on Thursday and Friday. I am taking a day off work and will be glad to gather with others who also loved him and share memories.

I have failed in even my smallest mini goals of 2 times 15 minutes of some (any) exercise. It is just too much and that is okay. I am really encouraged by everyone here and your optimism. I will pick back up when I can and that will be okay, too. Dang it.

crzyjoyce, I am so sorry to hear about your situation right now. My heart goes out to you and thoughts are with you. I will wish for you some healing and rest very soon.

Sglick, I am moved by your sharing. I know you don't know me well but I wanted to say for whatever help it might be, I find you so supportive, positive and encouraging and always look forward to reading your exchanges with others. I never read anything but positivity in (or between) the lines of what you share, you're such an inspiring presence here! I wish you strength and it sounds like you are thinking of all these changes in a good way - easier said than done, my dear! Sometimes with big changes, once I've had a chance to catch my breath and rest a little, I see good things springing up that I never saw or considered before the change. I am wishing that for you. I love the table you made!

    Hi All.
Went to chiropractor today. practically every vertebra out of place, said he could tell my discs were dehydrated too. I got to actually walk for a few minutes with no pain at all! Go back Tuesday for another adjustment, meanwhile supposed to take motrin/ ibuprophen.
He was actually surprised I could walk at all as bad as my spine was out of place. Leaving tomorrow to go pay respects at Uncle's service on Friday.... will probably be back late saturday, probably won't have access to internet unless son is willing to let me borrow his laptop for a few days.
Kudos to everyone meeting goals! you Rock.
At this time I think getting my back healthy again is a big enough goal to focus on so I'm only listing that goal.
    Blessings on all of ya~

I only have a few minutes so can't respond to you lovely friends, but did come across this today and thought it worth sharing. Suzee and some of our other precious farmers who are facing these battles. www.cleaningforareason.org/ Not a whole lot of help, but sometimes just a boost can be a huge encouragement. Sending love and healing prayers out to each of you.

Never checked this thread before, today here I am today reading it.

All I can say is, Life isn't perfect and you got to remain strong.
Other people such as family members look up to.

I read the whole thread and seen people shared some of their problems.
So I like to share what some of mine are. I just don't want to share too much cause
    it's a little personal I think?

When I was born, they done a hearing test on me and I failed.
This means I am born hearing impaired. As I started growing up, probably around 8
I got two hearing aids. Now I can hear on my own but with them I can hear better.
Went to a public school for grade two and third and HAD to wear my hearing aids.
No one ever picked on me though. But when I took them off, I felt like my hearing was being
damaged from them. So I knew if I went into homeschool my mom wouldn't make me wear them.
    So that's what I did.

Ever since then, I haven't wore them ever again but my life has been impacted from
my poor hearing... I can barely understand anyone who talks to me. It's embarrassing being an adult and having people
give you a weird look for asking them to keep repeating. People who are more than like 10 feet away I can't understand too.
If you would say peoples hearing is a 100, mine is something around 45 I say. Music or phones can be a little hard to understand.
I can't understand the TV unless it's very loud... so always need to have subtitles on. Picture yourself watching a funny movie with funny jokes being told and everyone laughs while you don't...

One strange thing though, I hear words different than other people lots of times.
So say them wrong and most of the times people correct me.

I wanted to work for the government by being a Fish Warden but now thinking it over, why would
    they hire someone hearing problem?

I don't collect any money for my hearing problem and got no idea how so I don't bother with it.
Not sure what job I'll get because I fear my hearing will mess it up...

solo - thanks for sharing your story. They make hearing aids more comfortable now. My mom got her first pair about a year ago and it has made life better for her. Good luck with employment. While it is true that some employers may discriminate, it is illegal. Government jobs will provide any accommodation you may need to fulfill your job duties.

solo - pnp is right, they improve hearing aids every year it seems. It would be worth re-visiting a doctor about. You are young, and very intelligent and a great communicator......it would be a shame for you NOT to follow your dream of becoming a Fish Warden. With all your enthusiasm for fishing and the environment, you would make a superb fish warden!!!!!;)
With any new job...we all mess up sometimes. That's why we call them newbies. But in time, with your smarts, any employer would be lucky to have you!

There are too many here to reply to individually but I wanted to say again how appreciate your realness and honesty in sharing your hearts!! It's not always easy to share how we struggle. But it helps us to know we are not alone... hearing how others have been striving to overcome their challenges is inspirational and encouraging! Thank you all for being vulnerable and opening up your hearts! You are more awesome than you know! :D:inlove:

@solo ~ I would have to agree with both brooke and pnp ~ you have so much to offer to others!! I would encourage you to let your hearing be a part of you, but not define you to the point that it holds you back from something you really want to do! :) I am sure there have been advances in hearing aid technology that can better help you hear without you losing what hearing you have...

    @czyjoyce and AnnTAngel ~ you two have been especially on my heart... I have been praying for you both and will continue to do so! {{big hugs}}
@pnp~ I am going to quote your siggy here, in case you ever change it, as it really speaks to me. :)

Courage does not always roar. Sometimes it is the quiet voice at the end of the day that says, "I will try again tomorrow."
    You are such a lovely person... you have strengths that I think you are quite unaware of. You have inspired me at times in ways you may never know. I truly appreciate your friendship and the ways you have touched my life! {{gentle hugs}}

    @ sglick
    ~It takes real guts to share like you have! I admire your openness with your struggles and I am certain that in doing so, it has been helpful to more people then you will ever be aware of! {{hugs}}

In the old forum, I had posted a couple years ago about how I had previously lost 25 pounds... unfortunately I've slipped back into some not so healthy eating habits since we moved, and have gained almost all of it back. My main weakness is food.. eating too many sweets, too big of portions, plus not always choosing to add veggies, whole grains and healthy oils into what I do eat. :( I have various reasons and excuses, but have decided that something must be done! (Not just for myself, but also for the example I am setting for my teen daughter). I'm currently on an antibiotic (sinus infection) that limits my exercise due to potential ligament tearing, but as soon as I can, I will return to Monday exercise classes at church. In the meanwhile, I think I will start walking again, and check back into Weight Watchers... maybe I can find a smaller group of people that is closer to where I work. If not, I will bite the bullet and make a place for myself in a meeting that may not always have the same people...

Solo it is not easy having hearing aids. I don't have them, but my mom, since ever I can remember. They used to whistle at times. She couldn't hear it. But we could. They do get better. I have seen commercials recently, that have some "in" your ear. So you can't even see them from the outside and you don't take them out. Mom has still the "regular" ones. They improved to. Smaller and more comfortable to wear. She is wearing them now pretty much all the time and not only when going to town or meeting people.

Fishing ward sounds like doing a lot outside and not to much contact with people. So, do apply there and see what comes out of it. I wish you good luck with that.

(((((Group)))))) So there! I'm headed to chiropractor in an hour, so hoping the yoga stretches my cousin showed me are helping, feels like they are. no I haven't done any of the weird contortions they show on tv. lol that would be a disaster. a side note here, I deal with insomnia usually about 6 months of the year which usually starts up about this time of year, but this last week it is almost completely opposite, the first time EVER I fell asleep at work yesterday. Today is my aunt's birthday, going to be a really rough one for her since her husband died only 1 week ago:( I need to call her and tell her happy birthday. My goal today... stay awake when I need to, and not over do anything. ( I am terrible to myself, I see things needing done and push myself to do it, usually without stopping to eat or anything.)

I hope things get better for you and your Aunt @crzyjoyce!

Thank you for the support everyone.
In order to be a Fish Warden you must also have two years of college. I don't have any but probably wouldn't be a problem to find a place to go.

@Dienstag, I like being outside so that I wouldn't mind at all. From time to time you enforce the laws and make sure people
got a fishing license or aren't catching the wrong fish. Now you don't fine people just right away, in fact you just issue a warning.
But this all depends on the crime they committed though. Like for example, fishing without a license would get you two options, buy a license or pay the fine. (This might vary from state to state)

@Cj, Brook, and PnP, Yeah I guess I really didn't keep up-to-date with the hearing aids today.
I didn't have much of a problem with mine making that buzz sound. But one thing you probably know,
hearing aids are pretty expensive and I couldn't afford them myself. Last time I got them from an medical health
company I think. No idea if the new one I got would cover it.

They're people who work for the USA government and would be active with fishing stuff.
Now for the details if remembered right, when stocking the streams and lakes, they sometimes
got one at the site to help and probably watch for people trying to steal them. Also if you see what I said above,
you can see they make sure people are following the laws for fishing. So it's pretty much just stuff like that.
Now of course you would have other things too, like filling out paper work or studying a fish for why it died.

Solo, since I am not from here, so I don't know much about the health system. But check with your insurance and maybe with your doctor. He should be able to tell you, if and where to apply for disability and where to get financial help for hearing aids.
(My mom has some percent.) Sadly every thing, having to do with health and medicine, is way to expensive.

I did some little fishing when I was young. Felt sorry for the earth worm and didn't like being still and quiet.

    Thanks All~
Solo.. when I was little i went camping and fishing with my grandma and granddad a lot, I loved that time spent with them and that is where my best childhood memories are:) reading about your fishing and your hearts desire to work with them brings back those memories, thank you. I can't speak to the hearing issue, I know very little about it, although I learned long ago to read lips so i could know what people were saying in an overly loud room. I still rely very much on that skill/ knowledge. thank you so much for sharing.
Back to work tomorrow, my elderly lady fell while I was out of town and banged her knee up, it was still swollen double the size it should be when I left work monday night:(
things still are iffy with my back, it just isn't healed up well yet so just stepping wrong can throw it out again.
Hope everyone else is meeting or exceeding their goals, and if not, there is still tomorrow:) hang in there!
