Lunch atop the Farm

This may very well take the award for "Lamest event on the main field 2019".

Needed:

27600 Cogwheel plants, which are quite interesting looking but require 7 hours growing time.
1600 Steel Bolts

All that makes 40 lunchboxes.

Unless you're really into Factory upgrades and/or don't have anything better to do with your time, I would say this one definitely slips into the "skippable" category. Good luck everyone, let me know if you see errors in my numbers.

 

I'm definitely doing this. I'm up to strange factory 3 with the benefits that brings and I'm looking forward to the level ups.

Thanks Laurelei, for starting this thread! 27,600 event crops on a crop that takes 7hrs (without any buffs) is a lot of crops!
I will give it "a Go" as I want those factory up grades! Good luck to all "Let the junking begin!" lol

Is it correct that main land fields gives drops to both events starting wednesday 03-20 ???? :S

 

Event crop grow times:

7:00
5:36 with water applied
5:03 with water and manure applied

Quick, not accurate calculation:
27600 event crop in 6 days on max 3 fields (rounded up to 600 1x1 plots)
With CAC appied 1 plot = 1 for replant + 3 for donation
Harvesting 3 fields, 600 plots = +1800 for donation per harvest
26700/1800 = 15 harvests needed (6 days = 2.5 harvest per day)

+ hopes drop rat provides 267 drops daily!

My strategy: I'll sacrifice 1 field for this event and will see how far/how much I'll gain.
For my farm the rewards aren't worth doing it in full given the stupid high requirements.

Well if sewinglady's farm does this event all the way through - that farm will have a maxed out factory according to the factory FAQ. This farm is at surreal factory 4, so even a step or two will be good.

I think that's the big thing - do what you can with this one - if you don't finish, it's not a big deal, but the factory upgrades and the boosters are nice to have, so I'm going as far as I can on both farms.

Now I have to wonder what happens to those of us who do manage to max out our factories...will they add more levels? A second factory? hmmm...

This is the last event that gives Factory upgrades as a reward.

I'm an old farmer now, just take whatever it is ya need out the barn and go on your way. Plenty for everybody.

If ya need a good meal on your way to junkin or finishing up then just come on by. Me and da farmwife (tlcmom) will take care of ya.

And if you need a warm place to sleep then you are welcome to the barn. We just don't get up in the middle of the night and sleep-farm anymore.

I'm going for 'Broke' and selling poo. this is too much. I'll have a look at the Baha event and see how it goes...

 

Will give it a try and see how it goes. If things don't move along, I'll switch to regular farming.

 

Not really that bothered about upgrades but I am not really doing much on Baha so might as well see how far I get.

I have finished "Lunch atop the Farm!" At least I have completed one of these "WAY TO MANY CROPS"! events
Congratulations to ALL who have finished and Good Luck to those still working on it!
Now to see how much of "Treasure Aplenty" I can get done!

 

Trudging along here but I won’t max out my factory as I seem to have missed some upgrades somewhere and not the purchased ones - ah well!

 

Struggling with both events. Real life has made it impossible to harvest timely for 2 days and now have extremely slow internet making it take over an hour to harvest only crops (ignoring all giver areas). Both crops and drops are hard to get at this time. To make matters worse, I forgot CACand didn't notice until after harvest of main fields. At this point, it is not recoverable. Sad, frustrated and disappointed. Life lesson of patience and acceptance.

Thank you to friends and neighbors who have sent drops. They are very much appreciated. I'm so sorry for missing a few days but internet connection is so bad that I am exhausted and in horrible pain just trying to harvest the 6 fields.
