Magical Trek --- worth anything?

As I look through the Magical trek, it seems to be pretty much worthless unless you happen to luck out and have the animals it asks for already. I completed the first level because I already had a butterfly enclosure. buying the "tree fruit" is not so bad, but the animals are outrageous in price!

Right now, for example, the glowworms are about 2K each, the trek requires something like 100. to get just 4200CC, 17000 EP a star and 5 supergrow.

Maybe when I have bought EVERYTHING else I might want with CC, but until then.. seems a good place to just skip.

OR am I missing something, like some big bonus at the end or such?

 

If you're not ready to complete the magical trek right now, you don't have to. But in my opinion the rewards are fairly decent. For instance, the BB, harvest helper, EP and CC seem like pretty good prizes to me, because on my farm they're really useful. I don't like buying things to complete quests though, because I know that the quest isn't going to go away. It will wait there until I am ready to complete it. I think that if you take the time to build up the supplies you need, it is worthwhile, but it doesn't have to be completed right away.

 

If you are short on CC then you are better off putting the items on the market, instead of donating to the quest.....The EP rewards are good, and you get some BB, PF, SG and toolboxes thrown in, but other than this, this is a quest that can wait to be completed with leftovers. That takes a while, but considering current market prices it would take an insane amount of CC to complete it by buying everything that is not in your inventory.

 

Thanks, this is about what I have been thinking. If I really have nothing else to buy, spending 2K on glowworms might be OK, but not as long as there are other things to do.

I guess the frustrating part for me is that I have things for some of the lower levels, but I cannot use them until I buy all the animals higher up.. and many of those animal pens don't seem to be available any longer, even in the farm wheel or with BB.

 

I check the market prices every day on those animals that I don't have a pen for, sometimes the price will go way down and I'll buy a few. That way you don't notice the loss of CC as you're building up the numbers.

 

Yes, I try to do that as well. Its just that recently prices just seem to keep rising. Of course the harvest event skewed things a lot, but not just that.
