Mainland fern

    In the Funky Fern Project FAQs it is stated that 'You can earn the unique Fern Dispenser, to learn to grow the Fern for the Mainlands after event ends'.
    Does this mean that the Fern Dispenser is required to unlock the mainland Fern plant and that anyone not acquiring the Fern Dispenser will not be able to plant Fern?

    Hello xristos-ale3andros,

    You will also be able to purchase Fern seeds from the Market. As soon as you have any seeds, you are able to grow them on your Farm.

    Hello shooger.sweet,
    The question was more related to the terminology.
    The term 'learn to grow' could imply that the acquisition of the Fern Dispenser unlocks the mainland fern.
    But from your reply it seems that this is not the case.
    Anyone with seeds can grow the plant regardless if he/she has participated in the Funky Fern Project.
    The only requirement is that the farm is at least level 70.

    The wording was used for the FAQ. Yes, you do not need to participate in the event if you do not want. The seeds will be able to be purchased in the Market after the Event has ended.
