Mardi Gras Bear upgrades go wrong

We found out that Mardi Gras Bear #3, obtained from the left side banner, can be placed upon Mardi Gras Bear #1, obtained from the middle. It results in Mardi Gras Bear upgrade 2.

Mardi Gras Bear #2 is a reward from the right side banner. We don't know if this one will act as another upgrade (to #3) or if this one will give us a second Mardi Gras bear #2.
If the last occurs there's no way for us to obtain Mardi Gras Bear #3 again.

I got a Mardi Grass Bear #2 on Shipwreck Bay. It's been created yesterday as mentioned. Didn't know then about it being the result of combining #1 and #3.

It is best not to place the upgrades in the wrong order. If you have placed them, you can try placing the already upgraded item and then placing the last upgrade on top to see if that works.

To my suprise it worked! Should've tried earlier.
