Usually new items in the market are at low prices until the price goes up -- explained by BP as the Market being dynamic so it is dependent on the number of offers made and in the market.

Supposedly that is why manure starts out low before an event and then skyrockets later. Price is gradually increased.

Just noticed however that Giraffes were first offered at around $98,000 (correction 98,000 cc) and now are at around $121,000 (correction 121,000 cc). I watch the market after new trees, stables and workshops are offered so that I can scoop up the initial sales because they are low. Not this time. Monster Fruit started out at around $800 each (correction 800 cc each).

Just wondering if they changed the market or if it is just for the new stuff that you buy with BBs.

I just had to check what was the max price I could sell the giraffe for, it's 9267 CC. Unless you have some insane conversion rate for CC to $ (assuming USD) I think someone has been selling giraffes without you noticing on your market. For 121 000 CC I would part with a couple of mine Sometime I think I'm in the wrong market. It's not a good market for hippo hoarding either

 

When the new animals come out I check the Market every time I log in, which is quite frequently. The first time I noticed they were available was for 98,000 cc and the next time it was 121,000 cc.

Low price is now 130,000 cc. I stated $ above but meant cc.

I don't like the large variance in prices between the Markets. I have more than one farm. Currently manure sells for around 9.00 cc in one and around 60.00 cc in another. Giraffes are 130,000 cc in my market and around 9700 cc in yours. My farms are around the same level so it is not based on that and I have some newbies in all of them.

It just doesn't seem fair to me. At 9700 cc I could have bought enough for the new quest that needs Giraffes -- at 130,000 cc it will take awhile. I am also close to the top of my neighbor listing so I may receive more cc's from CRs then some of my lower level neighbors.

 

sorry about the poor joke regarding currency, after a day calculating currency towards USD I had a bit of a giggle. I totally understood you meant CC, think everybody else did too.

Re the market: I think the unfairness of the markets does even up, so in the the it becomes fair in the long run. It's unfair to everybody. I have giraffes, I am "loosing out" from being on a slow market. But if I were to buy, this would be great. A slow market also means the prices stay higher for longer, and doesn't drop so fast. Which isn't good for a buyer's perspective.

Having said that I wouldn't mind if the markets were to become just one market. Then we only have the time-zone unfairness to worry about or exploit for profit.

Well but you said it didn't work for you... Well I will try and let you know at what prices I found.

 

A lot of giraffes showing in my market at the moment. Latest listings show prices at 73k.

 

See this is were the unfairness evens out, I have giraffes, I'm broke cos someone listed hippos at a nice price (they probably ran out of hippo storage under the bed) so I would love to sell my giraffes. My market price is 13K max
