MARLY

I took marly to the vet a couple days ago and they really upset me so I have found another vet to take my girl to. The other vet wanted her to go thru 2 separate surgeries!!!! this new vet is going to test her mass using a fine needle aspirat. And the first vet wanted to put her under for 15 mins to do a biopsy. the new vet will do that procedure and look at it under a microscope and if he is concerned then he will send it out to another lab. The fist vet told me that the surgeon felt uncomfortable about removing the mass again and wanted to send us to a specialist and I called this specialist and there is no way I could afford him . But this new vet secretary told me they take a different pmt plan and she told me how to apply for it. So I did and I was accepted!!!!! That sure took a lot of weight off of my shoulders. That mass has grown a lot it is now bigger than my hand I take her to this new vet Monday at 3 I pray they can help her

 

I so hope that the new vet can help Marly. I will be thinking about you and her, I know how worried you must be.

 

I am so sorry to hear about your vet problems! I am happy you have found another Vet who seems to be more interested in
helping Marly than in taking the most expensive way out! Too say nothing of the maybe unnecessary surgery before you know what the real issue is! My thoughts and prayers are with you and Marly as I am sure you are worried sick about her and the cost!

UPDATE:
this has been a very trying and stressful day I took Marly to the new vet today and I think we are going to stick with this vet he was very nice and he explained everything to me what he was going to do why he was going to do it how he was going to do it he was very thorough and very compassionate he costs a little more but I think he is worth the cost he did a fine needle aspirate and took ex-rays and explained things to me showed me the ex-rays and said that the mass wasn't affecting any bones or vital organs said her heart and lungs looked really good and strong he showed me the slides and vials that he was sending to the lab to find out what kind of mass we are dealing with and he said he doesn't think its a lipoma but after we get the labs back to see what we are dealing with then we will discuss removing the mass he also drained some of the fluid from the mass to help relieve some of the pressure thank you all for your thoughts and prayers please continue to pray for us oh he also gave her antibiotics and nsaids

 

I heard from the vet today he got the lab results back and he said marly has an aggressive one cell sarcoma ( cancer ) he said that it can be removed but its going to be expensive he said that I can keep her on the non steroidal med he gave her long term it will keep the mass from growing fast like it was until I can get all my vet bills pd back down that way I can use my card to pay to have it removed im trying to figure out a way to earn some extra money to help with the vet bills hopefully ill be able to think of something soon

 

I am so sorry to hear your news. I hope that you manage to find a way to help with the bills. Try and keep positive, although I know that is easier said than done. Will keep you and Marly in my thoughts.

 

I am very sorry to hear Marly's diagnosis! Lilaclady pretty much says it all! I will keep you both in my thoughts and prayers, and hope you find a way to help pay for all this, take care of yourself as "stress" can do a number on your mind and body!

Hope Marly soon gets better... I know how you must be feeling ... had something like that with my black Lab Boo years ago... I changed vets when I got my meggie and they are much better and more caring...It takes half an hour to get to this vet that doesn't matter... I know it is better for her then the other

marly is a she and thank you NellieNoodle what did you do for your blk lab? did he have a lump like marlys? yea there are to many vets out there who are just in it for the money you have to shop around to find one who actually cares

I have I care for the first vet and care credit for the 2nd vet but I owe them both a lot of money you can only charge up to 1000.00 on each one that's why im trying to figure out another way too. I was thinking about starting a GoFundMe page im not sure yet And thank you for your thoughts and prayers I was going to donate plasma cause they pay you for it but they said I cant because of the meds im on

i took Marly to vet today he drained some more fluid from her mass and did lab work he will call me tomorrow and let me know how the lab work came back. he also told me he can do the surgery if I cant afford the specialist and he is going to be cheaper he said his estimate would be 1200 instead of 2000 so as soon as I can reach our goal ill be able to take marly in to have that mass removed just wanted to let ya'll know whats going on

its not going so well it started off ok 9 ppl donated but then it just stalled ive been doing everything I can humanly think of to try to get more donations. no one allows you to put donation jars in there buisnesses anymore and you cant solicite outside of any buisnesses I don't know what else to do if you have any ideas please let me know
