Thank you Noelle20001, That is an idea, I realized I never went over the steps on how to send the neighbor request message, I have now gone over the steps and sent them a message & will wait to see if the chick responds.

 

Anybody know able to post screenshots?

I cannot from my computer, but think sending a picture might be better than words in some cases.. provided they are small and simple (picture of the buttons to get to the forums, for example)

Also might be nice if we could send links to specific series of pictures for how to do more complicated things (of course, that would require them coming here to the forum, but at some point.. they do have to at least try, we can lead them to the water, but not make them drink..) and.. yet another thing we could put in a mentor forum.

 

Mentor update, I've graduated 2 chicks from mentorship. It feels good. Thanks to all my neighbors for helping me to keep going before the mentoring system started.

Okay, question - I thought if you IGM'd your chicks you were supposed to get points. I sent 2 messages to one of my chicks and only got points for one IGM. Is this correct?

There are many times I IGM a chick and do not receive points at all, even if it is the first message of the day.

When one chick left the nest (dropped off), I didn't replace it during this time with Mom being in the hospital. Now my other 2 chicks are blinking red and so I went ahead and tried to get a new egg and have now received the message none are available. Looks like my mentoring was short lived.

 

Hey and what do you do when your chicken asks you to send them a picture of yourself?



It's in Spanish but any ideas on what to send?

A joke is fine, but they may not know that we are not allowed to send real information. You might need to tell them that.

but... how do you send a picture? I wanted to send some basic instructions as pictures and could not.

 

I would use caution in sending any picture at anyone's request! I find that to be a very strange and eyebrow raising request. Why would anyone need your picture??? I was asked once through another venue and it turned out to be a scam

 

Perhaps your chick really is a chick. Children often want info that we adults consider personal.

 

Well I loved your photo idea Escalonilla! Seriously though we all know it's not a smart thing to do to send photos or personal info and certainly not on such a short acquaintance.

I've got a chick that is actually communicating with me. However they are asking questions that are hard to explain and sending them links to the forum FAQ's or discussions does not seem to be helping as they keep asking me basically the same question. Perhaps communicating was the wrong word to use since they don't answer any of the questions I ask them nor acknowledge the info I've already sent or even so much as tell me just what they are not understanding. I'm a little frustrated about it as I've now explained how to sell things in the market in a couple of different ways and I'm out of fresh ideas.

 

Even though I read what you are going through sometimes with your chicks I still want to be a mentor

Huh, I wonder if that's what's been happening with me. I get neighbor requests from people I have no idea who they are. I accept, as I don't turn anyone down if there's an open slot, but I've often wondered how them came up with my name.

On the chick side of the nest, I was so happy, I had 2 active chicks, even tho we didn't have a lot of interaction. I send gifts daily, and was trying to do daily tips, tho that's gotten a bit sidetracked, and all was well, one even made it to level 20. Now they're both dropping on my thermometer.

 

spots, I've gotten requests from people who have seen my name here on the forum and also from some who are on the same market and have seen me selling something.

 

This is how I got my first neighbors. I did that because I didn't know there was a forum back then.
But if you add neighbors like this you ca't be sure they will be speaking the same language as you or they understand English.

There is a button prt sc/ sys rq at the top right of your keyboard. Just press it once. Then open the paint (one of the program in you computer) and paste it there (either give ctr+v or use your mouse option to paste). Your screenshot is there. Next save the file. Done.

 

yeah, no.. not every computer has "paint", or can get it, but thankyou.

Weird, I thought my mentor system was going a bit slow. I didn't think I was getting any bonuses and my numbers hadn't changed so I was getting ready to post in technical once I had taken a few screenshots and then boom. Today my social number suddenly jumped and I'm level 2. This happen to anyone else?

 

It hasn't happened to me, but it appears I'm not receiving my points either. I have less than 100 on level 1 and I gift daily.
