It's only a month since I complained that the cloud row sales never have old rows in anymore, and here's one with two of the ones I was most annoyed to have missed due to holidays :) Someone at BP likes me... Hmm.. See if it works again. It's a shame BB trees are never in the mystery trees anymore... Or maybe a Renzo prize. Or for the top prize of a big barn emptying event, like the one that normally happens around this time of year...

Offering full complete cloud rows for sale does help those who missed getting them but for players that may only need one or two of the EP items to fill the row, it does seem very disappointing to not offer the EP givers individually for sale. Good idea but falls short for me...offering the items separately from the row would be a great idea.:) (IMHO)

PnP, don't they usually do that? I seem to remember that they do. I do agree however. ;)

baw - yes, when BP introduces new cloud rows for sale, they do offer the EP givers as individual items too. I guess I wasn't clear in my comment. It is directly related to the FAQ for the Retro Cloud Row Sale:

    • Each row can only be purchased as a package by players, who don't have the cloud row
    • Items cannot be purchased individually
I have all the cloud rows but would have wanted an individual item. I have a row that I have grayed out and would have considered purchasing what I need to fill it. To date, the items needed have not been included in Gift and Trade. So while the Retro Cloud Row sale may be a good idea, for me, it is only disappointing.

Please reconsider the requirement of buying the entire package. All of us that submitted our ID to get the "free" Super Giver row are now being penalized for that. This is the first time since the row was offered free that any chance of getting the deco items for it has occurred. Anyone that didn't submit their ID can purchase the entire package but then the row is no longer "free". This idea wasn't completely thought through.

I was thrilled to see so many cloud rows offered again, particularly the super giver row, which has stood empty since I mistakenly got it during roughly my first event, when I had no idea that getting just the cloud row was worthless without also earning the giver items. At the time, this was not explained well at all for newer players, though now this is better explained.

This is particularly a problem with the supergiver row, because these items have always been excluded from the G & T.

You refuse to delete the rows, but now offer a row, but specifically exclude those of us with greyed out rows-- the very people who most wanted to see returns of these items!!!! You are penalizing older players who actively participate, and shooting yourself in the foot for purchases to boot!

It feels like a giant thumb in our faces. PLEASE reconsider! I don't need another row, or extra items, I just want the chance to fill the row I have. -- even if the cost is the same as a full row. (In my case, I need all 3 givers, I only have the cloud row).

Hi woody, I am sure it doesn't matter much for your opinion, but I still think it is important to get the facts right:
    1. The super giver cloud row did not come from an event, at some point everyone just got it.
    2. The super givers were never event rewards. Initially they were offered for sale for 100 BB each.
It was also possible to get super givers from wonder boxes. The wonder boxes were offered for sale in a mini event, and you could win two wonder boxes in the Septemberfest 2014 event.

Anyway, I am glad to hear the super givers will (hopefully soon) be offered for sale independently of the cloud row :)

If this is true, then this decision is particularly egregious. That means ALL longer time players are automatically unable to get the new row, and that because of a supposed "gift" we were given. Plus, its not as if we have had the chance to get these items after. These items have been on basically everyone's wish list for a long time. If there is one older item everyone has wanted to come back, this is it! Now we just find we are locked out.

EDIT: Upon reflection, I do remember now. This row appeared, much like the flower row did later. I also very distinctly remember BP promising at the time that we would be given opportunities to fill the row, specifically because many of us who got the greyed out row had had no opportunity to fill it (at all). Wonder boxes might have helped a couple of people, but not most of us.

Its one thing to say that people who participated in an event, but did not complete it, cannot now fill the rows. Not the greatest, but at least they had a chance, once. In this case, BP literally STOLE our chance from us. That this is an item for purchase to newer players, but not us, is beyond ridiculous.

I am not holding my breath for future promises. BP often does, eventually come through with something when complaints are heavy, but who is to say it won't come when I am not able to log in? That can happen to anyone, of course, but this is not an esoteric issue for me. I am going on a trip in the near future and am also (not related) going to be having intermittent internet for a while, due to work being done locally. If I had just missed a sale or event, I would be sad, but not angry. That they wave this in front of us, but then deny it to older players, is an insult. If they add it NOW, to this sale, then fine.. else... not happy at all! It will mean that once again, they have turned a nice thing into something that is just a slap in the face for longer time players. And, like always, its totally preventable by BP simply thinking ahead a bit before taking an action.

I put in a request to support to eliminate the row, but I doubt it will happen. Once again, its one step forward and several backward. I am not now going to leave the site over this, but be assured, each small disappointment is adding up. It won't be long before my limit IS reached. Mine and that of many others.

I also don't think it is reasonable that we are excluded from buying the items. But I think BP might have realized that too, since they promised another sale (usually they don't make promises like that), and there might be a technical reason for not changing this sale. So yes, I'll wait, but I really hope it won't be too long...

I am also one of those who doesn't have any of the Super giver items but is stuck with the cloud row. My only concern is, when we are able to purchase the items are we going to be charged 100BB each, or will we be able to get the items at a discount like the newer players who get the whole thing for just 200BB. Not to mention they will be getting the benefit of being able to either use the row or items until BP decides to permit the rest of us to purchase them. It seems very unfair to me.

I agree, we should be allowed to purchase the three items for 200 BB, anything else would just be unfair...

I agree with what you are saying. Right now it appears that those of us that have been playing for some time and have incomplete cloud rows are being penalized. Players that did not do an event because they chose not to do it or were not playing at the time are getting rewarded. This makes NO sense. I am extremely disappointed that I cannot complete some of these cloud rows, BP what were you thinking? What about the rest of us?

Just when I thought BP was really listening to us . Come on BP, let us buy the remaining items we need to fill our rows. You know we had to learn how to complete the events in order to get the Cloud Rows and it took awhile for some. Can you give us a sale with just giver items starting 4 years ago, up to a year ago, make it for players over level 50?

I am another with an empty super giver row that really wants to complete it! So unfair!! Please let us purchase the items for this soon!!

I edited my prior post, but I want this to be a "stand alone" comment.

There is one theme consistent in why people keep responding with ire to BP/Farmerama decisions. INTEGRITY and HONESTY. Specifically, if you sell something and change it AFTER the fact, then you need to offer immediate compensation (or offer a choice, if applicable -- such as with the mill subscription change), WITHOUT requiring people to ask. If you make a promise, such as that a row is a gift and that folks will get the chance to fill it later.. then you need to actually DO IT! Offering a full row to people who were not here when the row was given out free, but leaving those of us who were here completely in the lurch is not right. These are not minor matters. In fact, in some cases (the mill subscription, particularly), its actually a matter of law (selling something, then changing the details afterward is actually fraud per US law). I am not saying that is the only reason we finally were offered compensation, though ONLY to those who specifically asked, but I am saying we should not have had to ask! In the case of a promise as was given with the cloud row, I don't think its a matter of law. The item was given free, the new item is a buy item. I suppose if there were more involved, some attorney would likely find illegality in this action, too, but those cost involved here is minimal and, because the initial offering was free.. likely it would not be a legal issue even then. For a couple of dollars, I would guess the most that anyone would push would be to get the game made illegal in some countries. That would be a shame (and I say that even though I am very much considering just packing in my game -- I come here to have fun, not to get angry because of failed promises and terrible arbitrary decisions). The world needs more just plain fun, family friendly games.

I guess that is actually part of what really makes me angry here. This is a good game, with a good plan and, at least here, a nice friendly community.... but BP has shown absolutely abysmal community relations and even business sense lately. (changing items after the fact is a big BUSINESS "no no", because people don't like giving out money to companies that lack integrity -- besides its actually illegal in most areas). You, management are going to ensure that this game no longer exists or is no longer allowed in most jurisdictions if you keep on at this rate. That is sad. Maybe you are tired of the game, maybe you don't see enough profit in it. If so, there are plenty of other ways to deal with this, ways other than continually disappointing users. And, well these matters extend well beyond this game. A game can fail because of poor design, etc. One that is "put under the bus" because of poor management decisions is going to reflect on the ENTIRE company and wind up impacting all games. People do talk, after all!

Further, you make life incredibly difficult for the mods who you expect to volunteer and help. When you give them misinformation or fail to give them correct information or direct them to take action against the community, then the community is rightfully angry.. and the mods wind up taking the brunt of it. I see a continual call for mods. Who would want to do the job now? In the past, I have not had time. Right now, I have time, but not technical expertise. I could gain the expertise, but its not worth my time.. not to deal with the ire generated by poor BP decisions.

Let me be FULLY clear. What I am saying is we need better COMMUNICATION and INTEGRITY. You make a promise... STICK BY IT. You sell something, if you must change it after, then offer immediate and direct compensation with an explanation. If you make a decision guaranteed to make users upset, then APOLOGIZE, EXPLAIN.. not long after the fact, but BEFOREHAND. In fact, it would not hurt to even announce issues in advance. Who knows, maybe someone here can give you a better solution than what you are considering. You no doubt have quite a few techies here who might be able to occasionally offer help-- as long as they are not "on the hook" for any length of time, as long as it is just something they can offer of their free will (though, of course, if someone does help you a bit of game compensation would not hurt as a thank you... that's called manners).

The fix would not cost BP anything, in most cases would result in much MORE (real life) money and support/help for the company. A happy community brings in more players than an unhappy one... and make no mistake. You may get rid of the current crop of "complainers" -- myself included, but we are just the sounding blocks. We are just the current notifiers. The real problem is your actions. If we leave, and you continue, you will just get a new group of folks to complain.

and.. yes, you can delete my post , but you cannot delete or change the feelings. I speak for myself. A few here will undoubtedly "like" my post and therefore express support (even if not full agreement, it must be understood), but I do represent many unvoiced comments. I am in the 1% (probably less) who speak, but my feelings are not unlike the silent 99%. The voice of complainers may not always be welcome to hear, but we give you a chance to find and deal with issues. Some opinions are, of course, unfounded or just unreasonable. I have expressed a few of those and corrected/offered an apology when I could (when the issue was not taken out of my hand prior). In this case, though, I absolutely know I speak for many.

Just a thought, I do not mean to step on anyones nose....or is it toes.. well anyway. It seems to me, in regards to anything BigPoint does to make money to keep this game alive, and the employees paid and the lights on, they should do it.
Just the mere fact that other game companies are probably trying to headhunt Bigpoints vast array of talented staff is enough of a reason to make sure they make as much money as they can, to give raises and increase staff so we have great graphics future quests and no programming bugs to keep playing our game. However they have do it.

Amen - BeingStella, It could have results like my favorite BP game of all times - FantasyRama, as of the end of this month BP will close that game down, they apologized but gave no details really. I loved it while I had it, soooo that bought me back to Farmarama.
I hope hope they will never have to close this one.

Lot of talk in Fantasyrama forum about not wanting to purchase anything, but news flash, our great Developers has to be paid. Thank God for our MODS that give of their time so freely & willingly. I say if you have it, spend spend spend. That's what i'm doing as often as my budget allows. Lovvvve Farmarama.... Keep it going BP.... Great Job you guys... ;)

As far as mini events, currently i have no complaints. I am truly satisfied to work hard for what i earn & what i can't work for, I purchase it... Sooo me happy, no complaints from this peanut gallery. xD Thanks for letting us vent one way :inlove: or the other.
