Missing parrot

Hi,

I'm sure I've just made a mistake somewhere, however I think I've lost a parrot.

I believe I had already donated 11 parrots to the first task of the "Apron Incident" FSQ, and believe I donated 9 more parrots to it this morning. However, whilst all 9 of my parrots have been taken, the total donated reads 19/20, not 20/20 as it should do. Ie. I donated 9, and all 9 have been removed from my barn, but the total donated suggests that I gave only 8.

I'm sure it's just me misreading a number, but could you please follow up on the remaining parrot? I believe I should have finished the task.

Hello squigglegiggle,

You have delivered 19 Parrots to the first step and have 1 Parrot in your inventory. It is possible that the last one was not delivered. Have you tried clearing your browser and Flash caches to see if that helps with the glitch?

The parrot has reappeared - thank you! Didn't need to clear anything, it fixed itself.

Just one other question whilst I'm here - often when I'm donating animals to the "Farming Contest" FSQ, my animals are taken but the value donated doesn't appear to change (eg. it will take my monkeys without the donation value increasing, but every other animal donation shows a value change). This happens just about every morning when I donate the day's animal harvest, so I haven't raised any specific examples on the forum as it happens so regularly. I don't keep track of whether the donated value changes later on to catch up with the donation, but do I assume that the donated animals are still contributing to the tally, even if I don't see it change straight away/whist I'm in the window?

 

It may be because with only a few animals donated at a time, the counter would not increase much. You can check that the EP is being added by checking the donation counter before and after donating:

This is what I'm saying - the counter doesn't change even though it should, even if by only a little bit. I guess I'm concerned that I'm losing my animals - whilst I might only lose a few animals each day, that adds up to a lot over time. I'm assuming there's nothing you can do about that though - must just be a glitch in the system. I'll just keep on hoping that it recognises I've donated the animals and adjusts the counter later, when I'm not looking!

Next donation, test that the number shown increases (try refreshing your farm and then rechecking the number has increased) and please post again if this is not rising.
