Missing purchased date palm trees

Hi
I just bought a date palm tree. It did not show in my inventory (either on the main land or the island) So, thinking maybe I had made an error, and purchsed dates instead,, I went to the shopping basket and opened trees and bought another. I saw the money vanish from my CC total, but there are still no trees in my crate.
Any reason for this one please?

I have checked your logs and you have successfully purchased 2 Date palms. Please be so kind and refresh your farm, then check again:

That worked (the second time I refreshed - the first time it froze the whole game)
So, the date palm is for the mainland? I presumed it was for the island. What level do I need to reach before the island begins providing interesting things - like animals, millable food etc ? Is it all down to the bananas and opening the silly stone pictures? It seems to take forever to collect the bananas, with the initial crops, making the island a secondary thought to the main land

I am glad it worked though it should have not taken that long. The Date Palm is for the main land indeed; For the island, there is no level limitation, you will need to keep leveling up, gathering bananas, and then decide what to open. Indeed, it is all down to the silly stone pictures (so funny) , also referred to as 'Statues'. I am sure that you will get the hang of it and level up quickly. I wish you the best of luck!

Hi again Teddy.
Thanks for the info; while I have your attention (and to avoid opening another thread for something inconsequential), can I ask if there is any way to stop the NEWS window opening every time I open the page? If I want the news (adverts) I will click on it - the pop up nature of it is just annoyiing, as I am usually into a rhythm with harvesting etc when it interruupts

Of course - you are welcomed to ask as many questions as you want! The News page pop-up cannot be disabled, it pops up to make sure it keeps you up to date, whether you like it or not, with the news on the farm - mini events, sales, new features, etc. I will however forward your suggestion to offer this option in the future.
