Moderator editing and deleting of posts

    farmer_broke Commander of the Forum

    My first post in a thread was edited by a mod removing the quote. I reported the post I made citing the removal of the edit by a mod. Next the mod(?) deleted the entire post.

    There is a problem with the editing and removal of posts and this has been cited by a few now.

    I now view the action of the mod as an unnecessary vindictive abuse of power. We all know we do not have to post at all. Is there a solution or guide to the editing/deleting issue which may be viewed by those on both sides of this concern?

    As your post had no strategy, it was deleted. You are welcome to go back and leave some. Please read the rules of the strategy section. There are more appropriate sections of the forum for general chit chat.

    There are plenty of posts in the forum which do not relate point blank directly to the thread title. This is a game and for entertainment. I provide a little to bring a smile to the faces of others.

    If indeed the post I originally made did not relate to strategy, then why was it edited first and not removed. It was removed AFTER I reported it which was vindictive.

    I disagree with the action; and your answer provides no answer to the issue at hand: editing and after editing reporting by poster and vindictive post deletion by moderator.

    The chit chat as you refer to my post was a way to offer detailed assistance which you cannot do. If the author of the thread is indeed serious then I will be contacted by the individual.

    The issue is the misuse of authority, again. No need to bring this up in the chit chat section, the message from us both is quite illustrative.

    Yes, you can assist me further: You can repost the original post with the likes which include that of the thread opener.

    No need for me to go to support with the issue as the message is clear from both our positions and those bringing the issue forward previously.

    Your post will not be reinstated. There was no strategy included in your post, even before it was first edited. Stating "you know how", is not a strategy or assistance to the player that posted the question.

    Each section of the Forum has rules, and we are there to ensure players follow them.

    You can contact Support if you feel that this is inappropriate behavior from the Moderators.
