    Moonlight Fairy Tale
    18th of October 2017 - 23rd of October 2017
Starts & ends at at 14:00 CEST (UTC+2)
The event FAQ can be found here.
Current time in CET time zone
Playable only in Moonlight playfield and Mushroom Forest ONLY!
Remember Terror Bouquet & MM Cloud row doesn't influence event crop.

That is you can plant event seeds & get drops only in those two areas. Spooky trees, crops & Stalls give drops. We will be given 5 Midnight Oak tree at the start of the event. Plant them in MM Field or Mushroom Forest. Harvest them to get oak fruits. Each harvest gives you 10 oak fruits. We can make it to 12 by using Suzy's Super Grow. They take 40 hrs to grow, so we will have to use the mill product - shadow mulch to reduce its time of growth. It reduces the time by 90 % And Suzy's Turbo Mulch reduces its growth by 35%. We need the event crop & drop to mill the product alone. Each Fairy cat needs 25 midnight oak tree fruits

    Event crop: Spider Fern
    Drop item: Spray Bottle
    Mill Product : Shadow mulch.
    1 Shadow mulch = 10 Spider Ferns + 1 Spray Bottle

    Event requirements
    • To complete the progress bar/to receive all rewards, you need to feed 45 fairy cats
      • You will need 1125 oak fruits to feed 45 fairy cats ( 45x25 =1125)
      • One harvest of Oak tree gives you 10 oak fruits (Suzy's super grow not used). For 5 trees it is 50 fruits. You need to harvest all the trees 23 times. Or with Suzy's Super grow it is 19 harvests of all trees as you get 12 oak fruits per harvest.
      • for 23 harvests of 5 trees - 115 (23x5)Shadow Mulch = 1150 ferns + 115 drops
      • or for 19 harvests of 5 trees - 95 Shadow Mulch (19x5) = 950 ferns + 95 drops
      • I have calculated 1 Shadow Mulch per tree. If we want to use more, then we have to calculate it accordingly.
You can harvest the tree in 4 hrs by using 1 Shadow Mulch. You can use turbo mulch to reduce the growth further.

You can see this picture to see the effects of Turbo Mulch, Suzy's Super Grow & Shadow Mulch. Applying all these takes 2 hrs & 36 mins to harvest the tree & get 12 oak fruits.

    Thanks to Mooboy.
Not directly connected with the above Moonlight Fairy Tale Event.

Task 1: Log/Check in Spooky Calendar for daily surprise as you can hover your mouse over before clicking it, or can check what fellow farmer has posted in Forum, what that prize it ;)

For those who want to know the total requirements to unlock Mushroom forest & to do new FSQs.

Task 2: Need to reap 1125 Midnight Oak Fruits using 5 Midnight Oak Tress as we need 45 Shadow Mulch to Feed 45 Cat Fairies (Gain 1 Cat Fairy Home(But with 45 attempts feeding Cat Fairy can gain us another Cat Fairy Home, or Creepy Willow Tree, Slime Monster Pit or Nightgleam Tree))

    Task 3: Unlocking Mushroom Forest Quest I Zone 2. Requirements are;
    • 368 Creepy Willow Leaves
    • 132 Dark Green Apples
    • 2750 Gripping Grass
    • 250 Googly Eyes Bushes
    • 400 Dracula Orchids
    • 10 Willow Tenacles
    • 500 Monster Pumpkins
    • 250 Bonetrees
    • 4 Dark Fireflies
    • 3 Slime Monsters
    • 300 Braincoli
As we need to Obtain Some Creepy Willow Trees and Cat Fairy Homes asap if you going for Task 3. It not going to be any easy Feat, even if you buy some Basket Bundles:p

The Extra Space on Mushroom Forest does help us reap more spooky crops, spooky fruits or Spooky Animals

The Mushroom Forest II Quest it is much harder quest to do as we need at least 1200 Nightgleam Orbs and 145 Slime Monsters o_O:wuerg: to unlock Zone 3 of Mushroom Forest

Note we have the Full Moonlight Playing Field 202 (1x1), Plus we also get 29 (1x1) Mushroom Forest to do this Event.

I will leave the figures to those who are much better than me, thank you in anticipation and thanks 12 for starting thread.

Guess which idiot didnt look at calendar properly and didnt realise this was a MM based event, which it clearly states, and was arranging normal fields with long pens and workshops to maximise intial drop harvest???? DOH.

Ah well least it gives us 2 weeks to do normal farming and restock barn for upcoming events.

Im looking forward to these MM events, good luck everyone enjoy, happy farming

Also with the announcement of game been down for approx 2.5hours if Ive worked this out correctly and it doesnt overrun then could be a 30 minute delay to event starting

Thanks One-Two for getting this ball rolling. ;)

I can't get my head round this one ... I'm thinking that if we need to feed 45 Cat Fairies and it takes 25 Midnight Oak Fruits, we do need to use the Shadow Mulch.

    45 x 25 = 1,125 Midnight Oak Fruits

If we add in Suzy's Super Grow, each tree will give 12 Fruits and with 5 trees each, that makes 60 Midnight Oak Fruits per harvest.

    1,125/60 = 18.75 harvests (let's say 19)

    19 x 5 (trees) = 95 Shadow Mulch

    95 x 10 (Spider Ferns) = 950 Spider Ferns and 95 Spray Bottles

This seems an extremely small amount of requirements, bearing in mind it seems we have two MM fields now. Please can someone more maths smart than me tell what I have missed! :wuerg:

That's the calculation I get too, illy. May be we have to harvest a tree twice or thrice daily & therefore 2 or 3 Shadow Mulch is needed for a day per tree ? That means 950 x 2/3 & 1 x 2/3.

Guess, I was that idiot who didn't look intot he calendar properly & didn't even know that firefly event was going on. :pxD. Don't worry, you did nothing wrong, because soon you will have an event which requires animals, products etc., So you are stocking them up.

Sounds right to me One-Two. There are quite a few additions to the MM fields ... just noticed a Haunted Manor. I was about to say I didn't think much of the prizes but then spotted that and I am very excited about all this new stuff. :D

This all comes at the time when I am coming to the closing parts of all the MM FSQs so I am keen to start something new. :p

But please, if anyone sees a flaw in my figures (and who knows my history with numbers! o_O) please, please, please speak up or my errors will be duplicated by all those who follow my lead! :music:

Edit: Don't forget also "Suzy's Turbo-mulch to reduce the time by a further 35%". 8)

Haunted Manor is for EP giving items, illy & you are right there new FSQs. May be for the remaining time, we can stock up our MM crops & animals. I going to use SSG, TM & SM without scruples for the event. [IMG] ;)

Thanks for your calculations, they do seem small amounts.

Dont forget we only start with one full/large field the 2nd we have 29 1x1 plots open to begin with and other plots opened with doing quests.

Haha 12 I did that also with firefly hence my happy post in feedback as no way could get 30 candles. Yeh my intention is to stock up on as much as I can, Im sure BP will have barns emptied soon enough with upcoming events:mad::mad::cry:

Hmmmm FAQ's are out for mushroom field areas, think I will be stuck with the initial 29 plots for a while

Thank you for that Joanc but I cant take any credit, its all down to 12 and Illy. I would have calculated all requirements much higher and incorrect but thanks anyway:inlove:

Also I think at end of last event I did not put long crops in, I could have killer tomatoes waiting for me:cry::cry:

Thanks you two for crunching the numbers for us!:D

There's a bunch of new MM stuff headed our way this time around. It's gonna take some time for this olde phart to wrap his mind around it all. Looks good though. I especially like the second land that we can plant the new trees on. That will come in right handy.

A couple of things to consider: Don't forget those event trees are 2x2s and I am not sure if any buffs or CRs will effect the event crops/trees.

Done it - they all take BBs and I haven't any and am not likely to get any the way the cinema is these days!

I'm a tad confused about the mushroom field -- do we have to complete FSQs or other tasks to obtain a second playing field in MM, or do we just get it? I may be stuck with one field on this one if there are other tasks involved.

p.s. Thanks for crunching the numbers.

ETA: Never mind -- I just found it in OAs. There will be two quests to open up the extra areas. Looks like one playing field for me.

Thank You 12ss12 and illy! I just LOVE MM and now with all the new things it looks like even more fun to me! I do believe BP is giving us a challenge to get all those Oak fruits...but I am all in and hopefully up for the challenge!:p Good luck to all who are going to the Spooky Farm side!xD

Yes Sanddollar15, it moves the emphasis from growing tons of crops and hoping for lots of drops to getting the max out of a long growing tree ... let's see how it pans out. :p

Just saw the new quests - quite tough, needing a lot of spooky animals. Still, I like a challenge too! :music:

Also noticed the new recipes that don't need BBs but they do nothing for reducing tree time as far as I can see.

    Good luck all ... and ... BOO!:wuerg:

According to 12ss12's post, you will need 1150 ferns (crops) and 115 drops. If you use Suzy's SG on all of them, you will need 950 ferns and 95 drops.

Drops/ferns mill the mulch needed to speed up the trees. You will need 1125 oak fruits from the trees to feed the cats -- each tree giving 10 oak fruits (you will get 5 trees).
